McDonald's manager tried to refuse to sell us happy meal.

That guy's a douche. I work fast food, and if I pulled that on a customer, I'd get an earful from my manager, and rightfully so.

 

An earful? I'd get fired if I refused service to a customer and called him a faggot. You have a lenient manager XD

 

 

Anyway, I think I'm going to go to every mcdonalds around here and buy a toy at each one and report the reactions I get. A sort of experiment, I guess.

Having problems with Jackhole managers at Mcdonald's refusing to give toys to all you sick bastards? I figured out a way past all that crap.

 

 

I heard about what happened to the people here, and prepared for it. If you want them to give you the toy, do this:

 

Step one: find the name of the manager's boss (usually known as a district manager)

 

Step two: find the number for his/her office. (Google works wonders for this)

 

Step three: put the number on your cellphone contacts (if its an office, be sure to find the extension to his/her office).

 

 

When you go, and the manager refuses, "Well then, I'll have to tell mr/mrs/ms *last name of boss* ". When he thinks you're bluffing, show him the number. If worse comes to worse, call the number and inform them of the manager's lack of respect for customers, rudeness, and refusal to sell a product due to personal biases.

 

He refused to take my order, so I called up the DM, and she was really nice. When she realized I was standing near the manager in question, she asked me to give him my cell. Oh he started sweating, and his face turned red. It was funny.

 

I got Applejack Rarity and RD (all they had left), to his dismay.

 

 

If your DM isn't as kind as the one in Mass, I don't know what to tell yah. Hope the sight of the phone number works, try not to look like an asshole when you do it.

Call the Regional Office. Seriously. You'll probably get a free meal. Maybe a few. We had a similar situation where I was ordering something for my niece and the guy went off on me (this was back in the day when they had the Pokemon Happy Meals), and I called the RD. He gave us vouchers for free meals. He said something along the lines of, 'Employees have no business talking to customers like that in any kind of Customer Service environment.'.

 

They just act that way because they don't believe you'll do anything about it. Call and complain. Tell them you got it for your sister. They have no way of proving otherwise, and they won't bother to look. Finding the numbers is easy. Just type McDonalds Regional Office, followed by whatever state you live in. You'll get the names, numbers, fax numbers, e-mail addresses, everything.

Not a bad idea so long as you're able to get the district manager's name and number, which can be easier said than done. A lot of managers and employees will refuse to give that information out (usually claiming privacy, due process, etc), so you'll most likely need to know someone who works at a restaurant in that district to get any kinda useful information.

 

Still though, if you can get that information, and do run into a manager like that, that would definitely get results. District managers need to be very customer-focused, and usually will not tolerate even the slightest bit of anit-customer behavior from their employees.

That's a lot of trouble just for a few bunch of toys :wacko:

 

But at least you're lucky. McDonald's near my place was filled with blunt-headed pricks and none of them actually got the toys

I mean, I've been to several, and just asked upright for them cause I was getting them for my sister's collection, and I got them easily. But are so many ponies out there reall having so many problems getting these toys?

Sadly, a lot of people are having trouble with this. Some of the managers have serious God complex issues.

 

I don't think I would go that far to get a Twilight or any other toy... Im sure I can think of a simple excuse or something.

 

Even if the manager was an ass about the whole ordeal? I would never pass up the opportunity to make a douche feel uncomfortable.

Well, I walked into a McDonald's and after reading this post, I was determined to man up and not make up any stories of, "oh, my little neice/daughter/whatever will love these cute ponies." I walked up right to the cashiers and said, "I would like to purchase ponies, please show me all the ones you have." She brought them over without hesitation and I bought AppleJack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Lily Blossom. Guess I am lucky, no fight at all. :P
