Though this doesn't really bug me, I noticed that whenever I move from one page to another page on the site, the background momentarily shifts back to daylight. Is there is any particular reason for this?

 

The script that determines which backgrounds to load executes once the page has fully loaded. There should be a way to make it execute asynchronously, but Javascript really isn't my strong suit.

It's based off your computer's clock, so localized time.
