Which of the mane 6 is least popular?

But I agree with you. Outside of this forum where the universe itself seems to have flipped upside down, a lot of more casual bronies or hardcore Flutter/Dash/Pie lovers still put Rarity in low regard and refuse to see her as anything except a 'girly annoying drama queen who never shows her element'. I think Pinkie Pie might be dropping in the charts though, what with how bad this recent season has apparently been for her.

When it comes to the fandom, people say Rarity and Applejack. People just don't like those two, always saying Rarity is just a drama queen and Applejack is a background pony.

Why? Because people forget she's the element of "generosity" and then go on to think that she's the element of "snobby drama queen".   -_-

Of course, it might not be, but I'm taking this from the most accurate census so far, the 2014 Herd Census. The popularity ranking goes Twilight > Fluttershy > Rainbow > Pinkie > Rarity > Applejack.

 

Here's the relevant table on the census. Luna's actually barged in between the Mane 6! But you can see they stop listing Mane 6 characters after Applejack.

That must be why she's not been released in build a bear stores yet, because she was in least demand as a whole I would say the fandom (and indeed the writers) favour applejack less than the other mane 6... Despite her being my best pony...

The difference between Rarity and Applejack is that many just ignore Applejack completely and call her background pony because of stupid reasons, whereas people just flat out hate Rarity because of stupid reasons.

 

I think it is safe to say that a pony that is hated by the majority of the fandom is less popular than a pony that is "just" ignored and rediculed. Rarity is just so much more hated than every other mane6 that i cannot really call her not least popular, even though she has slightly more people that call her their favorite as Apples does.

I'm pretty sure Applejack is the least popular one. A long time ago I would've said Rarity, but it seems like Rarity has gained a lot of new fans too. I don't see that many people who think Applejack is the best, she's kind of underrated should I say.

Blechh. I wish I could kill this topic with fire - there's no need for a topic discussing this sort of thing, in my opinion, because as silly as it is, it can still leave fans of the pony getting slammed with the title of "least popular" feeling a bit bad. 

 

In any case, I had to go Applejack - Rarity and AJ are 5th and 6th, respectively, but that's because they have depth that fans of the more popular and less multi-dimensional ponies can't quite wrap their heads around, or people just thrive off of feeling hatred towards things they deem to be an easy target. I don't know whether I should pity them or laugh at them for what they're missing out on.

Personally, after fluttershy, I like the other five equally, but I think overall for the whole community, it's either rarity or applejack.

Most people who dislike rarity seem to say all she does is whine and stuff.

And applejack is just ignored by most, like how she isn't in the mcdonalds toy line for a start.

I don't know why people keep saying Rarity is the least popular. I always thought she was one of the more popular ones. I see pictures of her on non-pony sites all the time. I also know a lot of people in real life who like her.

 

I'd say Rainbow Dash is the least favorite. At least in the town I live.

Maybe I should move to your town Mikami, I'm not saying I don't like Dashie, as I like pretty much everypony in their own right, but she's my least favorite mane six; and with the few people I've met in passing who like the show that hasn't been a popular choice,
