gaming What's your favorite game in a genre you don't like?

Ever played a game you liked, despite the fact that you don't like it's genre?

I have three examples;

I am not a fan of the horror genre. I prefer being able to sleep at nighttime. Yet, i really enjoyed Area 51 for the classic XBox. It's a pretty fun 1st person shooter, tough some may not think it is really that scary.

I also enjoyed 1916: Der Unbekannte Krieg for the PC. An interesting game, to say the least.

I'm also not a big fan of RPG games, yet i really enjoy Pokémon.

I'm also not a fan of turn based strategy games, yet i really enjoy Worms 3D.

I like the Mass Effect series, X-Men Legends/Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and the first Dragon Age, even though I'm not a fan of WRPGs

Plague: Inc Evolved.

I've never been a fan of strategic games yet I enjoyed this one a lot.

Plague Inc depresses me. I think it's because I think too much into the game XD

Recently I just started enjoying Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 for the PS3 as it was free on +. Not really into football in general, but I am enjoying this as I can actually play it :P

I'm not a fan of Sports games, because in a series (i.e. Madden) they're simply the same game over and over again, as you really can't do much to improve them.

But I LOVE Mario Super Sluggers. It's so addicting :P

Battlefield Bad Company 1 and 2.

It was a generic first person shooter, but it had a nicely written story. (Unlike the usual games, which have stories written by monkeys.)

Once you play Borderlands you cant go back to any other first shooter game......I mostly favor strategy games and fighting and RPGs, borderlands 1 and 2 is the only shooter game i like.

Amnesia, the dark decent, Doom 3 without the guns or a way to even defend yourself.

I'm able to just fine.

Age of Empires. I don't normally play strategy games because they're quite boring to me.

It's hard not to fall in love with Age of Empires. Good game.

I don't play shooters very often but when I do, I play Timesplitters 3.

Or for sports games I love Snowboard Kids though that could be considered more racing than sports.

I always pretty much thought of Minecraft as a video game version of Lego...and I love Lego.

I've always had a love-hate relationship with LEGO..

Your bare feet meets LEGO brick.

Not a pretty outcome.

I've never really thought stepping on LEGO bricks was that bad...catching your little toe on furniture on the other hand...

Yeah.. furniture.

Well, it's just that, I have two big boxes of LEGO stored under my bed, and sometimes there'll be some small bricks falling out for whatever the reason may be. And then you wake up, in the middle of the night, to go get a glass of water - and you step on those little frickers.
