  1. I find the characters of the show are cute no matter what, and baby ponies are no exception. Maybe one day they'll create a character I don't find cute, but that day hasn't come yet.
  2. It's very easy to confuse the meaning of words on the internet isn't it? Believing the episode wasn't very good is well within your right as a fan, I was talking about those who are going around saying Magical Mystery Cure is the end of the show, and that Hasbro has destroyed our precious ponies. Those with a knee-jerk opposition to something will always be more vocal than those who are perfectly fine with something.
  3. You really can't compare the Season 2 finale to the Season 3 finale. All of the whining for A Canterlot Wedding was done before the episodes aired, and so most went into it with a "This is the beginning of the end" mentality. However, Cadance turned out to be a geat addition to the show! She had a good amount of time dedicated to developing her, and by the time we got to see the real Cadance, we could sympathize with her. The episode also ended with closure, so we didn't feel like we were left out in the rain. Magical Myserty Cure, however, did not introduce an actual conflict. Twilight botched a spell, and then Twilight fixed a spell. We're left with little in the way of narration (most due to the musical format), and her ascension came entirely out of left field, and had little explanation or development. Judging M.M.C. would be like judging Cadance's character based on what we knew about her up until she is revealed to be Shining Armor's bride (The sunshine-sunshine scene), and nothing else. If that was our only depiction of Cadance for 6-7 months between seasons, we'd no doubt dislike her simply because we don't know anything about her. While I can agree that the story would make more sense if it was told altogether, I stand by my statement that Hasbro has accomplished exactly what they wanted with the finale: to generate buzz and discussion about MLP during the time in-between Season 3 and Season 4/Equestria Girls. I can think of one franchise that went through that exact process before and shortly after it was rebooted recently. It's a little show that I feel you may have heard of, called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Our entire fandom (1,000,000+ strong if I had to guess) was born despite a knee-jerk opposition to a franchise with a notoriously lack-luster reputation. We survived Derpygate, we'll survive this.
  4. Sombra was never meant to be anything more than an ominous force that drove Twilight and her friends to restore the Crystal Heart. He has very little backstory, and absolutely no development. Hell, he didn't even have any personality traits outside of "bad". I feel they could've done something with him, but he left as quick as he came, and so I can't help but not care.
  5. Cat in the Hat with Mike Myers. Seriously, I used to think it was Pluto Nash, but after seeing Cat in the Hat, I was absolutely furious. So many childhood memories.....obliterated.. I would say Birdemic, but that at least has the benefit of being an independant film, so I'm inclined to believe finding good writers or actors is more difficult than in Hollywood.
  6. I never said you were the bad guy. But there are quite a few extreme anti-twilicorns out there who have been doing nothing but ripping on the finale and the writers and condemning everything that doesn't fall 100% in line with their head-canon. But to say that the Season 3 finale is a terrible episode is silly, as the haters are always going to be more vocal than those who liked it. I'm not 100% for Twilicorn myself (don't see the point of it, truthfully), but if Meghan and her team are saying there is more to the story, I'm not judging anything until I see the whole thing. I have faith in the crew, and I'm simply saying everyone else should follow suit. No sense in protesting against the unknown.
  7. Your logic is baffling. There are always going to be people who don't like something. For the most part, everyone loved Wonderbolt Academy, but I downright hate it. You will never find an episode of Friendship is Magic that EVERYONE loves. The anti-twilicorn/anti-finale bronies are a small minority, blinded by the notion that they believe they are speaking for everyone. @Francis Sparkle Really? The moral I got from Magical Mystery Cure (at least until Twilight got zapped into a Princess) was "You're in charge of your own destiny, and nothing can tell you otherwise". Of course, that moral was completely destroyed by Twilight being wisked away and turned into a princess, but I like to think that part of the episode was the crew trying to find a way to fit Princess Twilight into the show. Otherwise, the episode was great.
  8. I don't think you actually understood the point that I was trying to make: They left Magical Mystery Cure with a cliffhanger intentionally, we're not supposed to have assurance. They WANT us to wonder what will happen to Twilight, and how things will change. Why? Because it's keeps interest in the show up without having to produce as much content. You also have to remember that the target audience (little girls) have no problems with Twilicorn. As far as that's concerned, the only people with fears are the brony fandom, and those are fears they've created themselves. So, the writers and VA's have probably been told by Hasbro to quell some of those "fears" by being extremely ambigious in an attempt to exstinguish the speculation fires we've started with more, different speculation. If the creators of the show "consider" it to be a three-parter, than that guarantees that the Season 4 opener will have some closure. People like yourself just need to find some patience and take a chill pill. TL;DR: THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE FINALE. YOU'RE OVERREACTING.
  9. Someone at Unicon asked if Twilight would live a long time (they did not specify immortality): The answer was "Yes". As for your second question, I honestly have no answer myself. I don't see what they can accomplish now that they couldn't with Unicorn Twilight. I only half-agree with your first statement. While I believe we should take everything the staffers and VA's say with a grain of salt, I'm inclined to believe that any tweet that wasn't facilitated by a question may have some validity to it. Leaks should not be trusted or believed at all. As for your second statement: A three parter does not need to be aired simultaneously. Many shows multi-part stories with a break in-between, as it keeps the viewer wanting more. It's just not typical in cartoons. If the plot of Magical Mystery Cure ties in with the Season 4 opener, than it is most definitely a three-parter. A three-parter sort of implies that watching only one part will leave the viewer with a lack of closure (much like the case with Magical Mystery Cure).
  10. I'm grouping Animes and Cartoons together as there's no point in starting a new topic for just animes: Spongebob Squarepants ~ I felt it was still okay after the movie, but it lost it's charm very quickly. Very occasionally I'll get a small chuckle from a new episode, but it's not often enough for me to believe the show is anything but dead. Dragonball Z ~ After the Cell Saga. It was nice to see life for the Z Fighters after Cell's defeat, and I really liked Goten, Trunks, and Videl. But the Buu Saga was stupidly convoluted and over the top that I just couldn't help but feel like it was just a joke or an after-thought. Kid Buu destroyed the entire planet by shouting, for Celestia's sake! Bleach ~ I haven't actually seen the anime myself, but from what I hear, it's just downright stupid these days. Apparently it's devolved into nothing but training arcs and continuity issues. What a shame, because I felt the concept was kind of cool. Fairly Odd Parents ~ I don't know when exactly it happened, but every time this show is on, it's seems like they've run out of ideas at this point. Some blame Poof, but I honestly couldn't say myself. Pokemon ~ I wouldn't say they've jumped the shark with Pokemon, not yet anyway. But I'd be lying if I said the show still has the same charm and appeal it originally had in the 90's. I've watched the new episodes; I've rewatched the old, and there is just something about the original episodes (up until the end of the Johto region) that is just more appealing.
  11. Definitely the second. Gotta make use of the NES's expanded blue color palette!! But seriously though, the blue. The pink just looks out of place.
  12. Erm, Hearts and Hooves Day? Forgive me, but Cheerilie and Big Macintosh nearly got married in a matter of 22 minutes, so while I'm sure we won't see anything explicit, I'd bet money that they could go (and already have gone) a wee bit further than holding hooves. Anywho, I'm farily confident Season 4 will bring some closure to all the drama we've been through these past couple of weeks, we just need to give it time.
  13. Title: Fear Through the Eyes of Madness OR Fool For A Day, Princess For Life Story: Things around Ponyville begin to get strange as Twilight Sparkle finds Discord acting orderly and tame. When approached, Discord reveals he is tired of causing chaos, and wishes to be normal, even if it's for just a day. Twilight Sparkle then decides to use a spell to temporarily switch places with the mad-god, and Ponyville quickly finds itself in a category 5 chaos storm, if only for a single afternoon. Moral: Sometimes it's nice to have a change of pace every once in a while.
  14. Well, the biggest reason for Sunset Shimmer's "controversy" is that she's from a toy line that consists of all of Mane 6 except Twilight. She's also the only none-Mane 6 pony in this toy line, so people automatically assume that she's replacing Twilight. What alot of people are forgetting is that these masked-pony toys are from the same line as the Princess Twilight toys, so the reason why there is no masked-Twilight is most likely so that children will be more likely to want the $40 Princess Twilight toy as opposed to a $5 Masked Twilight toy. It's called supply & demand people. The fewer cheap Twilight Sparkle toys they have, the more people will have to buy the more expensive ones.
  15. That was actually confirmed to be an animation error. Twilight's cutie mark still has five white stars, so I doubt they'd add a new pony simply because of that.
  16. wut. How exactly is Rarity selfish? On many occasions she has offered her guidance, skills, services, hell, even her own tail to others without expecting any compensation or even thanks for that matter. I defy anyone to name one time where Rarity actually puts her own wants and desires before one of her friends (outside of Return to Harmony, of course).
  17. While they have similar goals (Rarity gaining social status/Blueblood maintaining his social status), they hardly have similar personalities; Rarity is generous, respectful and polite, while Blueblood is disrespectful, rude and cheap. Rarity left Blueblood because he was (to put it bluntly): an ass. I would've too, Rarity deserves better than that (frankly, most everybody deserves better than that).
  18. Exactly. Sacrificing wings/royalty for friends/the greater good is a much more acceptable retcon than: "It was all a dream, LOL!!!!!"
  19. Boardwalk = Canterlot Castle (?) Park Place = Crystal Empire (?) I imagine the railroads will be something like "Friendship Express", "Magic Express" etc. etc. I'd buy it, just so I can charge my friends bits instead of dollars when they land on my spaces.
  20. Sure thing, I just have one final question: For the banner, do you want it to say: "Cutie Mark Crusaders Club" or perhaps something else?
  21. I can give it a try, as I've always wanted to draw the CMC, but I make no promises, dood. I'll PM you if when/if I make any progress on it.
  22. I could try to make the banner for you, but I have no experience doing signatures, so I can't make any gaurentees. Would you want me to include Babs as well, or just the original three?
  23. I'm not sure about Signatures. What exactly were you hoping for? Right now I honestly couldn't do your request unless I had a bit more information as to what you want.
  24. I also hail from the good ole' United States of America. I'm from New Jersey to be specific. There are good deal of UK and Canada bronies as well, though.
  25. I sure do! My OC Full Moon was born from a request, as the person wanted a non-descript pegasus farting out a rainbow, but I loved the design so much when it was all said and done, I decided to adopt her as my own.
