  1. I really hope they get into Scorpan in the comics. He has SO MUCH story potential! I got an editorial on EQD tomorrow if you wanna see it!
  2. Yunno it's weird that Stygian keeps being compared to Starlight, when he's more similar to Spike. Why couldn't Spike be the one to reform him? On top of that, we didn't even get much on Spike's role within the Mane 7 other than Power Ponies which seems like a lame excuse.
  3. His addition could really develop alota characters tho! Like, the Staff of Sacanas was said to be made from the Tree of Harmony. That's actually interesting because Tirek and Scorpan were BEFORE the Pillars' disappearance and the Tree! So how could Scorpan have a part of the Tree? Did he return a second time, or did he never leave and the princesses only think he left? This would add to the Pillars' story arc! Also like I said, I got an editorial talking about him tomorrow!
  4. That's my biggest pet peeve with this show! A character filled with opportunities! I have an editorial coming tomorrow talking about it. Hopefully he plays a big role in season 10!
  5. Though if Starswirl didn't understand friendship, how did his friendship with Scorpan happen then? This show has great lore, but alot of it gets wasted!
  6. With the Pillars story in the second half of season 7, I thought it was an interesting story opportunity! However, I don't think this story arc was executed well, and it feels like their arc was a waste. I understand them being the reason why the Tree of Harmony exists and how the Elements are reflections of their own Pillar magic, but were they REALLY needed? The comics did a better job with the Pillars than the show did! Campfire Tales felt so rushed - we didn't get a good chance to learn enough about each Pillar! This shoulda been a full-season thing instead of just the second half. We woulda had more of a chance to get to know them. At least Daring Done and A Health of Info used their lore to reflect on the main story, and that was the best way to do it! Then of course the season 7 finale came around, Stygian got reformed, and then they stayed, but they never had a major role in a story arc again. All we got is Friendship University, Rockhoof in Hard Place, and then Starswirl had cameos here and there, and then they went out like weaklings in the series finale. WHY did they stay in the present time again? Feels like they didn't need to. Plus, even if Starswirl was around, he never even tried to find Scorpan, and bring him into the show. Scorpan at least had more reasons to show up than the Pillars. Sometimes legends need to stay legends. Even if they turned up temporarily, staying was a bad idea. They were easily replaced by the Student 6 anyhow. Maybe the legends shoulda been spirits helping to defeat the Pony of Shadows, and help their souls be at ease by restoring their friendship! Then they can rest in peace! THAT sounds like a better story for the season 7 finale!
  7. I'm surprised when Tirek drained Starswirl's magic, he didn't say, "This is for corrupting my brother!" Since Starswirl's friendship with Scorpan caused him to go against Tirek. At least it woulda given the chance for Scorpan to be alluded in the finale, and it would show that Tirek blames others for Scorpan's betrayal instead of him, showing he might care for him still!
  8. Even if you didn't like the epilogue, of course the show was worth it! Just look at this fandom!
  9. Or maybe she's excited for a potential new student? If that was her mom, Luster probably woulda ran over to hug her!
  10. The chaos magic is REPLACEMENT to Grogar's old magic. Grogar lost his magic via Gusty, and using what little magic he got left to create the portal to the Chaos Dimension and therefore changed completely, but mentally and physically! I mean do you have a better origin story for Discord? Everything comes from something.
  11. I know what you're thinking about with the title, "Discord was Grogar in the finale!" I don't mean it like that. I mean, could Discord and Grogar ACTUALLY be the same person? Think about it like this - we dunno what happened to Grogar and we dunno where Discord came from, and they're basically equally as powerful, and they both have similar color eyes (just Grogar is a little more faded). Grogar is also a being of chaos, much like Discord, only Discord's chaos is playful while Grogar's is more about destruction! Discord also apparently KNOWS Grogar pretty well, like, he knows where his bell is, and if that's his personality then he played his role pretty spot-on! There are those that believe Grogar made Discord, and in a way, they might be correct, but not in the way they think! Let's say Grogar just lost to Gusty the Great, and now he starts experimenting on ways to get his bell back or to find an alternate source of power, but then it turns out he made a portal into the Chaos Dimension and got trapped there for many years, and then he started to change, both his looks and his personality, till it became a permanent part of him!Grogar's dead and gets reborn as Discord! He finds his way outta the Chaos Dimension and starts spreading chaos around Equestria, but in a different way, till he found friendship!
  12. Remember in The Last Problem when Twilight was so sad about leaving her friends? Well, Spike didn't cry due to the fact he's leaving HIS friends too! Gabby? She only goes to Ponyville to deliever updates on Gallus. Starlight? Busy at the school. Smolder? Busy at the school. Big Mac? Has a wife and is busy at the farm. Would he travel all the way to Canterlot for O&O? He already doesn't see Ember or Thorax that much due to being leaders of their respectable nations! Twilight sees her friends once a month, but what about Spike's non-Mane 6 friends? How come he wasn't upset? Can he go to Ponyville whenever he wants since he's only an advisor? This post is for BEFORE the time jump, before he became ambassador - like let's say for season 10, so I hope we a comic that covers this.
  13. Not true actually. In the season 8 finale, Spike had trouble coughing up a scroll due to the magic drainage. Only explanation can be that it's magic, otherwise he wouldn't have a problem.
  14. Look at the cage containing the Mane 5 and Spike in Twilight's Kingdom. The Mane 5 clearly lost their magic cause look at their eyes. But Spike.... his eyes are fine! Maybe centaurs can't drain the magic off of dragons, which gives the dragons an advantage over centaurs? It's like a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors - everyone has a weakness, and everyone has more strength than something else! Could be just an animation error, but animation errors can be used as a story advantage!
  15. Does it hafta be either of those 2? What if Spike falls in love with a pretty orphaned batpony that lives amongst ponies?
  16. Pepole been talkin' bout it alot! Whatchu talkin' bout?
  17. Not really two, one coulda been enough. But yeah, the Student 6 is left with an incomplete arc.
  18. I don't like AppleDash. It feels stereotypical. Why make the 2 tomboys of the Mane 6 (with one having rainbow hair) lesbians? At least with LyraBon and Scoots' aunts it feels more natural. AppleDash didn't even have a built-up.
  19. But what about the peace between the centaurs and gargoyles? Scorpan and Tirek may be brothers, but they could be step-brothers, and their parents coulda had a political marriage. Scorpan might not be the biological son of Vorak. How could a gargoyle and a centaur make a gargoyle and a centaur respectably, and not as hybrids? It wouldn't make sense.
  20. I guess that's possible, but it sounds way too simple and boring. Feels like so much more can be added to that!
