  1. Really, this episode really only fails due to the ending and moral- Twilight being a cynic who didn't want to accept something that clearly seemed to be true. Complete with stepping onto her own soapbox! Polsky even said that this was about being stubborn about what you already know, and don't want to accept something because it sounds silly. It falls apart because that doesn't mean you should take a leap of faith(especially since it makes no sense plotwise), nor should you just believe in things- without good reason. Had Twilight been a good scientist in the episode, she wouldn't have been in it to prove Pinkie wrong- she would want to observe what evidence she could find instead.
  2. Doctor Mario represents a whole subseries- he's got a stronger case to be in than Bowser Jr.
  3. Uh, Dark Pit is not Brawl Pit. He's a slightly more powerful Pit with less controllable arrows, less sweetspots and Zelda's Final Smash. Doctor Mario is a lot heavier in damage than Mario, and has the tornado and such. "Also, there are 9 mario characters (Counting Yoshi and Wario). That's ridiculous. Mario doesn't deserve that many characters over DK, Metroid, Mother, etc." Mario, by iconic status and comparative size of the franchise, deserve 250 characters(and 10 for each DK character) for each Mother character- and that's aiming low(I'm not counting Wario or Yoshi, who would make it something along the lines of 300 to 1). It's that much bigger and more iconic, no matter how much I may love the Mother series. I have the main playable casts from all the Mother games as Miis ready for addition to Smash. Don't complain about Mario being overrepresented, it's blatantly underrepresented for obvious reasons(that being that if it wasn't, over half the character would be Mario characters).
  4. No, actually, a small clique of people with a ton of money who happen to be male control the world. Your average male needs empowerment in equal amounts to women- if not more considering the suicide rate of males.
  5. Yeah, and Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds was claimed by the Beatles not to have anything to do with LSD, too. You really shouldn't take what song writers say about their songs on face value. I'm not saying it is a drug use song, just that it might be, and that it is a song known for supposed coontations to drugs. If there's one thing that supports it not being that, it's that it's from 1959, and not 1965 or so(where drugs and music was essentially a symbiote).
  6. ...Are you honestly arguing Genesis puts Adam and Eve on the same level? Eve is literally created because Adam is lonely. Do you know the naming things as well, by the way? Being the one to name things is a big thing in mythology, and most certainly in the Bible- Adam gets to name all the animals because that gives him dominion over them(and he gets to name Eve as Adama), God marks his ownership of Jacob with the name Israel. Heck, it even outright states that she should be outright subservient after the fall. Most Christians accept marriage works the way it does today because of societal changes, not because of the bible. It's the secular world, not the christian faith that brought this on.
  7. I think they are good neighbour(I'm a Swede), and that I'm happy to have finnish blood in the family(not really to the degree that I'm blood-related, but my Grandfather's sister married a finn and her grandchildren are really sweet).
  8. This. And then people who have more knowledge and do better research make videos to debunk them, so if you look, you find both silly fantasies, and awesome, well researched responses to those!
  9. Eh, not really. Hating (male) homosexuality had only been programmed into people of the middle east until Christianity spread the lovely hate. Pretty much all other big cultures were fine with it and considered it better than sleeping with the lower sex. "Men was for love, women for heirs" was the standard in many places. What was frowned upon was being the bottom in the relationship, because you were too womanly then. As for the hate for female homosexuality, it just kind of followed along. It's also funny to consider where the ban on sex before marriage comes from- the area where judaism would eventually ban it was originally full of temple prostitutes, who had sex for the glory of the gods. Prudish priests and a change in doctrine for some(as the jewish God evolved out of one of these gods, probably several, really) is the reason.
  10. Heterophobia IS a real thing on tumblr already. Thank goodness tumblr is not a big thing outside the internet.
  11. Mojo>Him, honestly. Also, Buttercup was the funniest.
  12. The problem with this argument is that gender is psychological, and the thing you are talking about is the sex(Female, Male, Hermaphrodite).
  13. To actually use, Espeon. It's lolbroke on a team with Speed Boost/Iron defense/Baton Pass Scolipede and Sylveon(lol subs, roar immunity, stored power, super defense, pixilate Hyper Voice...). Designwise, Glaceon just laughs at all the others, and Leafeon is second best.
  14. Just gonna say this- biblical marriage is nothing like modern western marriage. It's an ownership deal were the owner(father) of the of the goods(bride) gives it to the new owner(husband). Also, bible based marriage allows men to wed many wives, but no woman can do so.
  15. Here's mine. It's a PKNA one.
  16. Nope. Was part of an orchestra 9 years back, though. I played the trombone!
  17. Clancy Brown. And either Rikard Wolff(Scar) or Stephan Karlsén(Long feng, Pete(Disney), Mewtwo) should do the swedish one. Unlikely, as the swedish one has only one real Star Voice Actor- Joakim Jennefors, the voice of Mr. Cake and... Big Mac. It's a pretty low budget dub altogether, most of the cast have this as their first outing. The exceptions are: 1. Joakim Jennefors, who was friggin Quasimodo in Disney's Hunchback, Squidward, Barty Crouch Jr(he dubbed David Tennant lol), Gomamon, Angemon and Courage the Cowardly Dog. 2. Lizette Pålsson has voice-acted for 20+ years and is the swedish Minnie mouse. She plays Fluttershy. 3. Jennie Jahns is mostly known for playing Velma of Scooby Doo fame. She's Celestia. 4. Sharon Dyall was Esmeralda in Hunchback, Miss Grotke in Recess and Mira Nova in Buzz Lightyear. She's Luna. Note how all but one only has rare appearances, or is Big Mac(a single recorded Eeyup might be used). I think they messed up by not having Per Sandborgh as Discord(Niklas Gabrielson). He's done a lot of good work, including the Joker from Batman: TAS(which featured Brock from Pokemon as the Batman!), and he always gets really into the role.
  18. Depends, really. I'd watch it if it was overall light-hearted, but it had a darker background theme. See Teen Titans and Avatar. Avatar had a dark theme- a very dark one, but the show itself was lovable, funny and didn't feel the need to be gritty. Teen Titans was very goofy, but had really dark scenes when the chips were down(Devil took over the world and killed all humanity). That could work as well.
  19. State-funded murder is still frickin' murder. See, here is the thing about prison- it's shouldn't necessarily be seen as punishment. It should be a place where we put people that have proven they can't be trusted to be out in the open without causing some form of harm to others... as protection. This is how you reform criminals. It's not a revenge tool against criminals, it's a protection for the rest of us.
  20. RD and Pinkie are the most likely. While Rarity is romantically inclined, she is not interested in children.
  21. ...Eldritch is simply an old word for strange, eerie, mystical and otherworldly. Your post makes no sense.
  22. As a staunch Lethal Punishement abolitionist, I think you can guess my opinion on this. Especially when you consider that Discord never did any serious physical harm to anyone. So now we should murder him in reponse? Also, death penalty for High Treason? No. It should only be imprisonment.
  23. I'll be using the Swedish parties. Twilight: Probably the Liberal People's Party, as they have a pretty big focus on schools and learning. Fluttershy: The Green Party(Nature Party). Duh. Applejack: Center Party- used to be the Farmer Party, now more of an industrial one, but being the traditionalist she is , AJ would probably still throw her vote in for them. Otherwise, the Moderate Party(the swedish Conservatives). Rainbow Dash: I dunno, actually. Rarity: Probably the Moderate Party, since it benefits her as an independent industry. Pinkie Pie: She'd probably pick a different party every year just for fun.
  24. Silver Spoon never hesitated to bully the group whatsoever. And if she honestly feared losing Diamond Tiara as a friend over not bullying other ponies, do you really think she'd dare to take an eat Diamond's Sundae when Diamond decided to pour hers out? Silver Spoon is, by what the show has shown, not a hesitant put-upon henchie, but a willing participant in the bullying, and pretty much Tiara's equal in their relationship. Also, the reason she has a Silver Spoon cutie mark is that it is part of a very old and well known idiom: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silver_spoon Meaning she's essentially a rich heiress with no real talent. Now tell me, who else is a rich heiress with no shown actual talent(except arguably tyrannical leadership as in Ponyville Confidential)? Diamond Tiara. They are meant to be of the same moral fibre. The only real difference is Diamond has some leadership skill(which might actually explain the tiara).
