Honestly I don't find the power creep a big problem(not saying it's not present, creatures have seen a increase in power) but that's also because I have a friend that plays legacy and we play here and there. Most legacy deck will slaughter Modern decks because t1 is the hasty setup while t2 or t3 are the stabilizers unless you run the $3000 JUNK deck. Vintage on the other hand...nothing beats the speed of vintage. T1 is setup and stabilizer, and T2 is a game of chess till you win. For example, Dredge in vintage, it runs 4 bazaar of Baghdad and 4 serum powders to get Bazaar of Baghdad and then proceed to swarm the feild with more zombies than a drunk on binge drinking could handle. Modern is a fast format, don't get me wrong but it still pails in comparison due to vintage and legacy cards because they offer the mana and/or cards to do a bunch of derpy stuff and guess where most of the enablers come from?
