Pegasus. I'd love to fly. sure, unicorns can give themselves wings, but that requires learning spells and work. As for alicorn, look how much it took for twilight to get there. again, learning and work. I suppose if it was as much an option as the other two, I'd go with alicorn. I voted pegasus though. so how are there more pages to this thread (56) than votes (55)? that seems kinda odd...

I can recall only 3 times Rarity does anything generous (giving spike the fire ruby (Secret of My Excess), giving spike gems for helping her find gems (A Dog and Pony Show), and making the mane 6 dresses (Suited for Success)) and many times she does something selfish (almost every other episode with Rarity in it) Given a second choice I suppose I'd say RD. AJ is almost tied though. edit: I just realize how long it's been since the last person posted on this thread. oops. I got here from the "Welcome to Show Discussion" thread and assumed a pinned thread wouldn't link to an inactive one. silly me.

I tend to leave this sort of thing at the "because pinkie"/"because magic" level of thought. Basically it seemed like something the writers just did because they wanted to and without much thought into "why" or "how".

what time stamp (based on the movie as available here) in the movie did they do that? I didn't pay those two much attention but if you liked something they did, I want to see it

I think they called the school Canterlot High, so I assume the town has the same name (which doesn't help much in distinguishing it from Equestria...). Pastel Colored Human Town works better, anyway

Mane character(s): Pinkie - Smile, smile, smile! and forget that fourth wall, because pinkie. Rainbow Dash (if i had a second choice) - First character I learned of and awesome. not as good as pinkie though IMHO Secondary characters: Big Mac - Eeyup. Spitfire - She actually manages to scare RD (more or less). Pegasus Royal Guard - they manage to be so presistant that RD, probably the most unrelenting of the mane 6, gives up trying to make them laugh. Princess Luna - It is traditional to speak using the royal We, and to use THIS MUCH VOLUME WHEN ADDRESSING OUR SUBJECTS Tertiary characters: Derpy - idk... I guess I just like easter egg-ish things I can never seem to find til someone points them out to me. Lyra - Human beings fascinate me, being just the way they are... etc Dr Whooves - I like Dr Who. Bowties are cool.

it took me a moment to recognize what you edited and why, but now I get it. yeah I could see people getting confused at that, too. Yeah the vending machine scene was somewhere in my top 10, probably more like top 5. My second was when pony Pinkie did the same basic thing as human Pinkie in my favorite scene. almost forgot about that. That was pretty funny. "I'm fluttershy" "didn't quite catch that" It was funny in the series pilot, and it's still funny.

My favorite was when Pinkie Pie (human) tells about her "hunch". My theory is that it wasn't just a hunch, but that she actually reached through the fourth wall and read the script... or ya know the writers wanted to do something funny with Pinkie. Either way, after that, I literally Rolled On The Floor Laughing.

I think the same might have been why she said "It's like you've never held a pen before" lol I liked Princepal Celestia. The one way thing between TS and her was perfect. If it's just because Twilight would sound odd, then why not have her at least encounter "homo sapien" or "Human" in one of the many books she read on her first night? I think the writers probably just missed or that, as a few others have said, Twilight was too focused on getting the crown back to care what species she was. While it wouldn't have seemed odd if she had asked the human versions of the Mane 6... err... 5 after pinkie pie told them all her "hunch" (which I think was probably the result of her reaching through the fourth wall and reading the script), Twilight was far to concerned with getting the crown at that point to care, as were the writers, probably.

Sometime in January or Febuary, my best gaming friend started singing the chorus of Rainbow Factory while we were playing the Toad Factory course in Mario Kart Wii. Oddly enough, I had read the lyrics in a chatroom in the past (and liked them) and thus recognized the lyrics right away, even beginning to sing along. I had never bothered to check the origin of the lyrics until that day. When I got home from our gaming session, I looked up "in the rainbow factory where your fears and horrors com true" , though I might have confused a word or two. I tried to not automatically reject it when the only results were my little pony related (I had the same inclination toward pastel colored cartoons as might be expected for a teenage male). I read the fic, loved it; watched the RF music video, loved it; and eventually found AuroraDawn's sequal, Pegasus Device. I thought something along the lines of "Screw that stereotype. I'm at least giving the show a chance" After listening to the song several times, I eventually decided to find the time and channel for the show. HUB's website led the way. My first episode was One Bad Apple. The start of the episode with Apple Bloom worried over what to wear was a bit discouraging but I could tell it was probably an exception to a rule of being awesome. The contraption they rigged the float with confirmed, for me, that the stereotype was ABSOLUTELY wrong, at least as applied to MLP:FiM. This show was awesome. I set my DVR to record every episode and watched them as they came. My dad, not realizing I liked the show (and me still being a closet brony... it had only been a week or two), deleted the MLP folder and the series setting. I decided to watch the rest of the series online. I loved almost every episode, the exceptions (if existant) being The Best Night Ever, and some unexistant or unknown episode. I'm hooked.
