    I was planning on kinda bringing it out into the open when i came out of the closet to them. I figured getting everything off my chest at once would cut down on the amount of questioning overtime.

    1) Amazing characters. I mean who doesn't love Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. 2) Great stories. Most every episode keeps me glued to the screen in anticipation of how it will end. (Am i overly dramatic... I think so) 3) Beautiful animation. The art style is perfect and compliments every other bit of the show from the music to the monsters. 4) Amazing music. I love the music from the show i've listened to smile smile smile so many times its difficult to fall asleep without it. 5) What isn't there to like. Need i say more.

    Most of my friends don't know except for my best friend. He's okay with it but thinks the fandom stems from people wanting to be part of a fandom and not the actual show . I'm 100% positive my mom doesn't know but my Dad is a different story. A few days after i started watching MLP he randomly started singing out the first part of the theme song. He also said EEEYUP a few times just like big mac does so i really don't know if he knows or not.If he does though it means i have 1 parent who doesnt care about me being a brony .

    I felt pretty uplifted when i joined. Sometimes life isn't always easy weather it be school, family, or just life. When i joined the herd i felt very uplifted first by the show then by the fandom. I don't know about the rest of you but watching adorable cartoon ponies go on magical adventure and learn about friendship always cheers me up. It's pretty hard to be upset or angry after an episode of MLP. Second the fandom is comprised of what would seem to be the nicest friendliest people on the internet. You can be yourself here and not be mocked or shunned for just about anything. So id say that feeling uplifted after joining the herd is quite a normal feeling that most bronies probably have.

    Do you live a double life, as a brony? I hide my love of ponies from most everybody. Except my best friend who always puts up with my antics and such. Do you regret having a second life? A little i guess. Ill probably be more public with being a brony once i come out of the closet (non-pony closet mind you). If you could, would you go back in time and stop the moment you found out about MLP? No probably not. I feel like if i didn't find it then i would still find it eventually. Did it take a person to convince you to tell other people that you're a brony? I only told my one friend so no. Did certain people start losing respect for you or started to dislike you more than they usually do? Yes and no. My friend and I have a kinda i bug you you bug me thing going on. So when its just me and him hanging out i show him pony stuff and quote the show to an insane degree and he just sighs and laughs. In review, would you say being a brony was a positive experience for you? What benefits were placed for you to join? What are the disadvantages set for you? It has been overall positive. I have became much more tolerant and slightly more patient to others. Plus the fanbase is amazing and lots of fun to be around. But i will have to deal with my parents at some point so who knows.

    My parents don't know about me being a brony and although they are nice and i love them i would not tell them EVER! I have however looked into buying a shirt that wouldn't be recognizable to anyone who isn't a fan. Probably something with Octavia's cutie mark.

    I haven't told the world about my bronyness broness bronienness bronienensneenensens. As a result i have not been bullied about it. I have been unable to find any other bronies at my school or find any meetup groups in the local area.I also know for a fact that being a brony would not go over well at my school. So yes i would say it is pretty horrible.

    Well before i joined the fandom i mainly poked fun here and there at a brony i knew nothing terribly mean just a little friendly ribbing. Then after a faithful encounter with apoctolyptica and 1 cello playing pony i watched the first 7 episodes on Christmas eve. I didnt think about it much during Christmas but then it hit me i had spent 3 and a half hours watching ponies online. I spent the next month diving into crash courses on sociology and psychiatry trying to find an explanation and when i finally had one i sat down and watched the rest of the show over the course of about a week.

    Well i found the show while looking up stuff for apoctolyptica and i found this picture. http://cheezburger.com/6927889408 I then proceeded to fall in love with the show and every aspect of this wonderful fandom all because of Octavia. So yes i cast my vote for Octavia.

    Hello i am StevenTTD i am new to the site and after about 2 hours or so of nervous contemplation and reading other posts i have finally gotten up the nerve to introduce myself.     I've always found that haters and trolls leave a sour taste in my mouth. Whenever i see a hate comment it always makes me feel bad especially when i find videos made for the soul purpose of demonizing bronies as perverts and promoting hatred of someone for something as trivial as what they like.
