  1. I was finally able to watch it this morning and I must say that it was quite good. The animated bits were easily one some of the best parts of the documentary but the whole thing was just as good. Always good to see productions like this come to fruition.
  2. There are also some other bronies at my school that have to deal with hate from being open about it. Doesn't make me feel any better about wanting to be open.
  3. I guess you could say that I am a little of both. My close friends know that I am a brony and they are perfectly fine with it. I've even gotten some of them to start watching the show as well. I have no intention on becoming completely open with it mainly because of the fear of being rejected. However if the situation arose where somebody somehow found out I was a brony I would not deny my love for the show because at that point I'd rather go all out than try and hide it. I can also say that sometimes I wish that I could be completely open about it so I could meet other bronies and not have to hide it all the time. I am also a Fluttershy fan by the way
  4. https://soundcloud.com/mag1c-toast3r/power-of-the-ancients-1 Well after a long time of working on my music I've finally decided to get myself out there. My first composition is called "Power of the Elements" The idea for this song came to me while visualizing the mane six fighting of the changelings from the season 2 finale. It just didn't seem epic enough for me so I created this little number here. Be sure to let me know what you think! Don't worry I won't bite Thanks!
  5. Sombra was definitely not as good as Discord or Chrysalis mainly because he lacked actual character progression or depth like the past villains. He was kind of just....there. Not saying he was bad though. Just kind of disappointing that we couldn't get more background info about him.
  6. Season 3? This is gonna be good...

  7. Why is everyone posting their internet speed? Oh well, guess I should hop aboard! :)http://www.speedtest.net/result/1889143311.png

  8. Got a lot done today. The bed now calls...

  9. Great minds do think alike. Besides, who could not love this? http://johnjoseco.deviantart.com/art/Fluttershy-s-Happiness-204621669?q=boost%3Apopular%20Happy%20Fluttershy&qo=3
  10. I commented in this thread a while ago and I must say that I am very impressed on the direction it has been heading ever since. I'm glad most of us can comprehend that love is not only sexual, but it has a great amount to do with feelings as well. These ponies are reflections of real personalities out there, and they have even helped me shape what I look for in a relationship. So if I were able to find a girl just like Fluttershy or Rarity, you can bet that I would undoubtedly fall for her.
  11. Although I can agree with the concept of "Love and Tolerate" there are some....problems with it. I can honestly say that I agree with the tolerate part of the saying. I feel like it is our duty to be above the haters and not stoop down to their levels. If we did, we would be like the rest of the internet. The love part is where I disagree. I only would show gestures of kindness to those who show it in return, not those who hate us. That doesn't mean that I would strike back at the haters, I would tolerate them. I see our corner here as a little "safe heaven" of the internet. We don't have to love everybody, but we can make the internet a better place by staying strong and showing our values to everybody. If they decide to join us, we will welcome them with open arms hence the "Love" part of the saying.
  12. I'd say that is has been rubbing off on me for the most part, I've had to catch myself a few times though. Every once in a while I'll accidentally type everypony instead of everybody, but other than that I don't use references in real life. One thing that has really rubbed off on me is the values that the show teaches. It's really made me re-think my life in a way and it's also made me a better person. No longer do I judge before getting to know someone and I always lend a helping hand when I can. It's kind of...weird admitting that a show could do such a thing, but I'm glad it has.

  14. I was alone in liking the show for quite some time until I finally decided that enough was enough and showed mlp to some of my closest friends. I was fearing rejection, but like many other times I was foolish to believe they would judge me. At first they were hesitant like so many others are when the first see the show, but now I have bronies at my side. It is really quite great because I no longer have to come to the forums to relate with other people who like the show. (Don't worry, the forums are just as good as talking to people in real life) Though they might not be as in to the show as I am it's still nice to be myself around them.
  15. I've been trying to keep my personal liking for the show a secret because not many people around where I live would approve of it. I do have pony wallpapers on my desktop laptop and phone though so someone was bound to find out sooner or later. Yesterday I was busy on my computer when my mother walked in and put a Fluttershy toy right on my desk. She left the room without saying a word and I just sat there. After about a minute of contemplating what I should do next, I just stood up and said: AWWWWWW YEAAAAA! So my mother knows of my liking for the show and she isn't opposed to it. I was expecting her to be shocked and be critical towards me, but she wasn't which is great! I have an indescribable feeling of pride right now, maybe it's because I wasn't afraid to hide it. With this, I have been thinking about coming out about my like for the show. Not with just my family, but publicly. We don't have a brony club at our school and I think that it would be good idea to create one because I honestly don't care what people think anymore. As long as I'm happy, I don't care.
  16. Although I try to believe in Love and Tolerance I don't always expect other to do the same. Things are always changing, but that doesn't mean they are changing for the worst. It is what we make of the change that matters, so lets not see this as the decline of our community, let us see it as a change for the better. There will always be trolls and haters on the internet, but I think that we can all handle it. There was a troll problem here on the forums a few weeks back if some of you may remember, and what did the community do? We laughed. Not because we wanted to fight back, but because we didn't let it get the best of us. We are used to trolling and hatred directed towards us, but we stand united together. We.....Tolerate. This community is so rich and prosperous that I don't see any possible decline for a while, years maybe. I can sort of identify with you that there has been a change in the community, mostly in our attitude. Since this Derpy debacle, I think we have grown a bit......tense. Once again this isn't anything major and we should gladly welcome change in our community. At the end of the day we are all Bronies are we not? So lets all stand together and welcome the change in our community, for the better.
  17. This is quite a story! You nailed the Derpy's personality for the most part, probably better than I could do myself. As I was reading I could also see the episode progressing in my head, which is also a plus. Can't wait to see more!
  18. How have you been coping with the current controversy over your appearance in the show? Any words of wisdom on how this whole thing will play out?
  19. I'm single, but boy what I would give to find the perfect girl. Which is probably my biggest problem when looking for a relationship. Until then, I'm single and I guess I could say that my life is just as good without being in a relationship.
  20. By Hasbro I meant everybody who was affiliated with creating or involved with the show, I didn't mean to cause any aggression.
  21. I expected this topic to blow over fast so I've stayed neutral for the past couple of days. I now see that this is something more than just people overreacting to something politically incorrect, so I shall share my views. I came to this show to escape from the real world where we have racism, segregation, and name calling. This show is a bright shinning light in my life and has saved me from depression because of the values that it teaches. It's really hard to believe that in our own community there are people who will still judge and feel the need to call something like Derpy offensive. Derpy Hooves is the symbol of being different in a good way, and for people to call her names such as "retard" or "offensive" really destroys the name that we try to create for ourselves. We are supposed to love and tolerate, not hate and segregate. If anything, this show teaches us to love and tolerate people who are not normal and it teaches us to accept other for who they are and not what they look like. I am not really angry at all, I'm just....... disappointed. I'm disappointed that we can't see past Derpy's appearance and have the need to label her as mentally handicapped right away. This may sound silly (as the show is meant for a younger audience) but are we not mature enough? Can we not see past this tiny issue and not have the need to blow it out of proportion? Hasbro has been so kind to us, almost nicer than any other company out there. They actually listen to us and respect what we have to say. Derpy was fan created, we all loved her and will continue to love her to this day, but for them to listen to us and actually give her a speaking line in the show is great all by itself. We were able to influence the show and now we want to change it? Do you know how that will make them feel? We asked for something and they gave it to us only for the community to get angry and shoot it down. You don't bite the hand that feeds you boys and girls. I'm terribly afraid that they won't listen to us again just because of the controversy this has created. I'm juggling a lot of things around in my mind right now, but please take what I have to say into consideration. I come to you as a fellow brony, and a friend. Please, don't let Derpy go.
  22. Farewell troll, may you spread your rotten cancer to some other forum!

  23. Oh boy a troll on the forums, this should be good...

  24. I completely disagree. When I try to convince people watch mlp, I don't expect them to just disregard their other hobbies just for the show. The same goes for Rainbow Dash and her reading, I can easily see her reading books while still getting enough practice in for the wonderbolts. As for flying while reading, don't you think that may get to the point where it's in the way? I mean, I don't think she could still be doing all of her flips and tricks with a book in front of her but that's just me. I see no problem with making time in your schedule to explore other activities especially because when she isn't flying she is probably sleeping. Don't you think she could give up a little napping time for reading without sacrificing too much energy? I think it's entirely possible. I also don't think that someone like Dashie would easily phase out her flying practice. She has come so far already that I don't think she would let her flying skill decrease at all. We are talking about somepony who has done the sonic rainboom here, not just some average flier. She is way to focused on her dream to let books change her ways (That doesn't mean that they won't interfere with her dreams). These are just my thoughts based on what I've seen from the character so far.
