The exact opposite of myself: I'd become very hateful, I wouldn't think before doing or saying anything, I'd be very loud and annoying, I'd probably also use my mouth as a weapon and try to break down everyone I see with hateful statements. I'd also hate technology and wouldn't know anything about it.

Christian bronies: meet, greet, and mingle!
Godspeed Edge replied to Zach TheDane's topic in General Discussion
-Hugs everyone in this thread- I've grown up in a Christian household my entire life, I always believed up until my teenage years. I spent a few years learning about other faiths and searching for the one that fit me. Thankfully at the end of the journey I found myself realizing that Christ's death and resurrection is the answer to everything. It's a constant battle where I live though. Compared to other states in the US, California's majority is very liberal and slowly evolving to be against anything we in the faith believe in using the excuse that our beliefs are "dated". I used to have a lot of friends outside the faith until about a year ago. I found myself going to church more and more and growing in Christ rapidly, many of my friends noticed and didn't appreciate the changes. They used to try and start arguments with me and put me down for even believing in God. I felt bullied so I quit dealing with a lot of them. I've tried making friends with brothers and sisters in Christ, but it's hard because most churches where I live are "Megachurch" like, with too many members to count and things are always hectic with them. Of course I know that I have it easy regardless of all of this compared to other people throughout the world. I consider myself a Charasmtic/Mild-Pentecostal but usually go to a non-denominational church. My father was an amateur apologist back in his day and as such I've taken up the mantle for him. Anyway, I'm glad to see so many Christian bronies out there.- 3,318 replies

Based on what we've seen about dragons on the show so far, Spike is the only dragon with no wings, but he's also the only baby dragon seen too. That being said, I assume dragons in this universe have to grow their wings. I hope that Spike will grow up eventually in the series, it seems viable seeing as he's so young. I'd also like to see the CMC and baby Cakes grow a little too eventually in the series, some time should pass eventually to keep things interesting and keep the story coherent. I'd really like to see Spike at least be a teenager by the end of FiM. It may seem like a lot of time needs to pass, but Spike's already had two growth spurts already (albeit he went back to normal both times). Edit: Look at post below.

How come alot of people think Big Mac is shy?
Godspeed Edge replied to 100 beasts kaidou's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Heart's and Hooves Day is an odd case. I honestly saw his awkwardness towards Cheerilee as a typical response to such an awkward situation. I'd act a bit tongue-tied and weird too if my youngest sister and her friends decided to force me on a date with somepony I hardly know. Latter in the episode after the potion's effects are removed we see him and Cheerilee even pranking the CMC at the end. Big Mac is a stallion of few words and many actions. I don't see him as shy or uneducated, I see him as just very well reservered. -
What technology would you want to see in the show
Godspeed Edge replied to TheMarkz0ne's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I'd like to see just about anything, so long as it keeps a pseudo-steam-punk motif. I see the series as something that needs to stay in the past as much as possible, if that makes sense. I see it as taking place in the late 1800s seeing as there's locomotives. I could also see more tech that's powered by magic, seeing as it's abundant in the universe. -
I collect toys and figures from all sorts of cartoons, anime, and video games. ... And I love playing with them more than a little kid. I also cuddle with plushies. (Mind you I'm a 19 year old male lol)

Pierce Brosnan by far. I grew up with his Bond films and GoldenEye 007 on the N64 is still one of my favorite games. I like Daniel Craig's take on Bond seeing as it's a fairly vast difference in the role. The rest are equally good. The actor I think of when I hear the name James Bond 007 will always be Pierce Brosnan though.

What do you think about when you can't sleep?
Godspeed Edge replied to AstralDrip's topic in General Discussion
It depends on what the day was like, my job is a bit hectic so each day is different for me. I usually go over everything I did that day, sometimes it back fires and I end up thinking about my whole freaking life for hours. I typically try to empty my mind of thoughts when I'm trying to sleep, if that doesn't work I'll usually pray knowing that I fall asleep often during prayer. XD -

Do you think the 80's as a musical decade is overrated?
Godspeed Edge replied to Le Kvlt Dawn's topic in Media Discussion
Essentially this, and eventually they'll realize they aren't as original as they hoped. As for tastes in music we all acquire different tastes. We need to both remember the music already made but to also try and find new things as well. They're just two sides of the same coin. One is proven discipline and the other is experimental and revolutionary. -
How and when did you become a brony?
Godspeed Edge replied to Mint Petal's topic in Sugarcube Corner
Before I got into MLP I was a huge Sonic the Hedgehog fan. I remember in late 2010 my friends asking me to watch MLP because they saw some relation to the two. I declined to watch due to the prejudice that MLP is only for little girls. Eventually I was with another group of friends and they invited me to a "pony night" where they watched some of the best episodes of season 1 and 2. The pony night got me hooked. After that I went on my own and watched the entire series. I fell in love with the characters and the well written plot, not to mention it's so sugary sweet and cute that I my heart melts when I watch it. I also fell in love with Pinkie Pie and her antics. At first I though she was just a random tard but as I watched more episodes I realized she had reason behind her quirks. But more so I loved the overall evolution seen with everypony in the first two seasons. As for S3, I'm just hoping it was merely a filler for S4. But that's another topic.- 2,493 replies

What do you want on your tombstone?
Godspeed Edge replied to Harmonic Revelations's topic in General Discussion
"If you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain then I must have been a great hero." And I wouldn't have a tombstone, I'd specifically make arrangements to have a life size statue of Discord turned into stone directly above my location of burial. The sentence above would be inscribed on the base of said statue. -
Do you think the 80's as a musical decade is overrated?
Godspeed Edge replied to Le Kvlt Dawn's topic in Media Discussion
I honestly find this craze with 80s music a type of nostalgia from the 30-40 crowd. This is happening even with my generation (I'm 19) obsessing over the 90s. But you guys wouldn't know anything about that because none of you are 90s kids. -sarcasm- If you ask me it's all a bother, I wouldn't say any of it's over-rated, but I will say a lot of it is dated. I've listen to a lot of 80s music, and while good, most of it just sounds unappealing. Of course there are some gems like Michael Jackson's works from the 80s as well as groups like Queen and The Cure are timeless. I understand why some people like other genres more than others though. I listen mainly to 70s R&B, soul, funk, disco and blues because I just love the sound of a good slap bass and vocal groups. I can understand why people are inclined to run back in time for music though. This new era is revolved around so much technology and imagery, again I'm not saying it's bad or anything, it's just all so new to most people that we tend to flock back to earlier times. Luckily revival is happening in the music scene and artists are starting to incorporate older styles instead of inventing new ones. -
But in all seriousness, hello there! You can call me Godspeed Edge for now (the name's a reference to a certain Megaman character). As you can tell I'm new here. I'm a college student who loves video games, dorky television shows, and anime. I've been a fan of MLP only for a few months actually, I saw the series when it first came out but was to busy with my senior year in high school to sit down and really enjoy it. Back in January I went to a pony night at a friend's house and was forced to watch some of their favorite episodes with them. After that I decided to catch up on the entire series within a week. Soon after I found myself with a bedroom full of ponies while lurking the /mlp/ 4chan thread and EQD nightly. I come here in hopes of a more organized experience than on /mlp/ and to find new friends to talk to. Pinkie Pie is by far my best pony. I just love how selfless she is, not to mention how silly she can be at times. Some look at her as random and perhaps almost crazy even, I'm in the camp that she knows very well what she's doing and she knows what cheers people up, I also think she just is to darn happy to care about what others think about her. I'll be talking about her a lot more. Looking forward to talking to all of you and become friends with every last one of you!!
