      They're all good. Wierd Al's first song is still stuck in my head. Pinkie's Lament is probably one of my favorite songs in the entire series. It has a very different feel from most of Pinkie's songs. I love all the continuity in the middle with Pinkie narrating the photos, and the epic sunlit windy mane shots at the end.

    I already wrote my brief thoughts on this episode when it was leaked, so I C&P 'em. But there was a ton to discuss. Such observations are: Pinkie Pie was absolutely at her best here. One major problem last season and this season is how Pinkie Pie's offbeat humor becomes one-dimensional, turning her into an incompetent, random airhead. There's plenty to Pinkie beyond it, and she's much more intelligent that what several of the episodes that put her into a secondary role give credit. In fact, she's one of the smartest. The entire Goof Off was absolutely hilarious. So many gags freshened the hilarity of the sequences, and none of the jokes were used twice. My most favorite was the real-life scenes that shattered the fourth wall and the polka version of The Smile Song. (BTW, seeing Pinkie get insulted by that is refreshing, as Pinkie hasn't been shown to get so angry too much this season.) How Cheese Sandwich came to Ponyville not as an antagonist. In fact, that point was very clear in Act 1 before the song as well as Twilight asking Pinkie if she could help him. Every single song didn't feel like they were chopped down to save time, one big reason why MMC was quite bad. The songs were evenly distributed and felt very complete.

    I decided to use some strategy to vote. To help get AJ qualified, I voted for her. But I can't stand Angel Bunny and want to see Mrs. Cake still in the running (hoping to take second place), so I voted for Truffle and Mrs. Cake. I then voted for Flitter to cap it off. To give Big Mac a small chance at qualifying, I voted for him. But I'm not helping his cause much, because I voted for Granny Smith and then Caballeron. To try to get Harshwhinny out of the running, I voted for the Diamond Dogs.

      The only things that were good about it were Bulk Biceps (I really think they should have called him Macho Pony though) and Derpy. Spitefire was ridiculously out of character.

      Watch out for it. But the micro-reviews will be more on subjective tastes (as in most favorite to least favorite) instead of an objective overview (like what I wrote in many of my other reviews).

    Of all the FIM episodes, Lesson Zero took the longest for me to genuinely warm up to it. Once I did, LZ was a stroke of genius. ^^

      Remains one of my favorite episodes from the show. That along with 'Party of one' shows that Meghan is really good at handling 'characters go insane episodes, and switched the series focus away from twilight to the mane 6 in season 2.
