Actually, now that I realize it, lemme elaborate about Zipp's worrisome-ness. A character in G4 who I liked was the weather pegasus in The Summer Sun Setback, because of his out there panicky disposition. It was at least exaggerated, though. Zipp worrying felt a lot more based in reality, and nowhere near comedic. World-level important things could have gone wrong, and she was so fixated on it, and nopony took it seriously enough. I think it was at Mane Melody after the song, she said, "we can't just sing this away!" That sounds like the attitude that I would have. Large things really fixate on my ruminating mind. Coupled with the backdrop of her royal obligations, the whole episode really did a lot to flesh her out more.

I enjoyed it. I love that Zipp got a lot of focus. She's already one of my big favorites of the Mane 5; I already liked her genuine personality, and now I see her worrysome side, just like I am. I really do love her. Plus it's interesting how she has to balance her life with considering her royal future. Animation downgrade was to be expected, at least. Though it seems some people on youtube are salty about this. Well I think this special is really setting the stage for the episodes to come.

I avoided this thread until I watched MYM. And I have to say, I'm really appreciative of Zipp. I already loved her genuine personality, and this special has only re-inforced how much I like her. She's such a big fretter about this, like I can be.

That, pretty much. Many of the newer characters failed to really make a splash. This is the same thing that happened to the dude I mentioned. I'm like, one of only ten people he made an impression on.

Any of the one-off characters introduced in the final season. Seriously, the first background ponies have had stories all fleshed out for them by fans, but guys like Feather Flatterfly doesn't even have more than a dozen fanart drawings of him.

It's coming out, but I can't find anything on the IDW website about it, even a "coming soon" placeholder page. Where do I buy it online?

I have a real soft spot for some of the stallions. Aside from Shining Armor, Sunburst, and some others... He may be on the younger side, but Sandbar is incredibly cute and handsome too. Flash Magnus, he's an awesome pegasus dude specimen too. @PrettyInPipp Awesome Pillar pick. And from the comic, this awesome guy, Shadow Lock! I love this dude's look!

I think this is a leftover from when people were remarking how unicorns are almost always the villains. At least then we got Cozy Glow, and later Sprout.

They did what they did because the great freaking legendary Starswirl the Bearded had returned, obviously he knows best! And he's like, Twilight's idol! She would naturally follow what he would decide. Without considering the idea that he might actually be wrong.

I'm excited for this! I'm really curious about what's going to happen with this contingent of earth ponies who aren't happy with magic coming back... And what the heck happened to the Earth ponies? O_O Something could really be brewing. I'm wondering if they're repurposing elements from the original movie, magic calamities were going on there too.

Nope, never. Heck, Mage Meadowbrook was way different than what she was stated to be. Even after she appeared again, nothing is brought up. Just some pre-reformation Starlight brand BS.

I see zero problems whatsoever with having Stygian living with me. He would be doing his own studying and writing and things, no problems would arise. Though since I have my commissioned plush I got of him, I can sleep with him for real...ish.

People bashing on characters isn't worth putting your attention too much to, and it doesn't bother me... except in a couple of specific instances. Stygian is a pony who is incredibly dear to me and I have a gigantic attachment to him and his backstory. But sometimes people will say they disliked him, and that's easy enough to ignore. ....except when it's in a post or video just chock full of negativity, then it runs the risk of getting under my skin and I start wondering what's wrong with them. Case in point: I search for Stygian in google image search to see if there's something new I can find and upload to derpibooru, but I found someone's post recently that wasn't pleasant to me. https://www.fimfiction.net/blog/847231/mlp-villain-rankings-stygian-the-pony-of-shadows Just full on bashing and rating a 0/10. I mean, nobody has to like the same characters you do but sometimes it just seems really harsh, more than it needs to.

So the new episode seems to lend credence to what's going on with Sprout. Hitch needing a new deputy and working alone are things that are brought up.

I liked that! Seems Sprout really is on the lamb, huh. And Lemme just say I liked the chemistry between Hitch and Zipp in the movie, their verbal bouncing off one another. And this episode just furthers that some more.
