I decided to finally start working on the other characters from RWBY. So far all I've accomplished was getting a basic idea for the look of each of them using the pony creator thing on dA. Team RWBY (from dA) Ruby Rose I'll crop the hair to ditch the ponytail, adjust the leggings, cape, jacket, and maybe touch up the boots a bit. Weiss Schnee I'll have to do a fair amount for Weiss Blake Belladonna I think Blake will be fun to do, but lots of work of course. Yang Xiao Long I kind of went crazy with Yang concepts...since she is easily the most expressive of the girls. Plus, her eyes change from blue to red when she becomes infuriated. Also, she smiles when she's angry--it's scary...so, each concept has a version with blue eyes, and another with red (Yang for days!) Gotta love the Wonder Woman stars on her bum! haha Those will be gone for sure! ================================= Here's hoping I can be motivated to do them justice!

Gosh it's been a while! Well, I figured I had a couple more pics to share, so here's a couple: Cake with White and Green fondant Cake for a family party Simple cupckakes My younger sister has always been fascinated by tattoos, but will never get one; so one of our older sisters let her color a Sharpie sleeve onto her arm. It took a lot of Sharpies, and most of the day. The beginning... Another of her Sharpie tattoos A painting my brother-in-law did of his wife Halloween / Day of the Dead This is the sister that got the Sharpie sleeve This is the one that did the Sharpie sleeve (her husband, the viking/Simon, painted this mask onto her) My younger sister and her husband (the one that did the painting ^^^) as characters from Adventure Time From the year before, as Vikings A pinterest-inspired birthday party snack

My dad and I didn't even notice until after 12:30 am...He was watching a Western called Silverado and I was organizing movies in my iTunes... You can tell that the New Year isn't much of a celebratory event at our house anymore...
-
Well, I thought of a few minor adjustments, though I didn't feel like I could keep the background intact though, so I hope you get the concept at least:
-
You can see the shading I did in the original pencil version. I really, really liked that version as well. I still have it. I still have them all, really. *shrug* I've looked at that program, and I even downloaded it, but I just didn't feel like taking the time to research all its components and learn to use it! haha I went from super-motivated to super-lazy! This was definitely NOT done in ms paint and definitely NOT done by me! haha
-
I find shading to be quite tricky in Paint since it doesn't have a layering feature, or a gradient feature, or many other features. But also, I don't want to get that complex either! ======================================================== I just ordered an RD Funko last night! I can't believe I didn't share that with you guys! It should be waiting for me at my apartment when I get back later this week!
-
I had a LOT of free time over the summer (that's why the final version was dated only 2 days later than the crayon version). I got a lot of practice in MS Paint with the MLPF World Cup for which I did a lot of flags for the participants. It was a blast! Sadly, I didn't get to use my RD American flag...which I can't seem to find anymore...grr!! I need to organize my pics folder fo' sho'! It sounds like you've set out a great plan! I kind of just spontaneously decided to do stuff...which is unusual for me.
-
That's great! It just looks like the body needs some practice, but that you've practiced the rest a lot more beforehand. I discovered that I'm terrible at drawing ponies freehand, but I'm pretty comfortable tracing an outline, and then re-purposing the body. These are the only ponies I've tried drawing/editing so far: ***Pfff!! Silly stallion! I totally spaced that my avatar was my re-purposing of Soarin! and I have a few variations of those! Haha

Just ordered a Funko RD! (Why don't they have Apple Fritter, dang it?!?!)

So, I re-watched the first two episodes along with the flashback episodes, and honestly, there's not a whole lot of information to go on. Things can get pretty scary if a magically-powerful alicorn princess has a severe temper tantrum. Like you said, her resentment obviously had been building up for quite a long time. I remember a few years ago when I had committed to not doing certain things (like playing video games, dating, watching movies, etc--it was for a church-related thing) for a period in my life and my siblings would nit-pick at me whenever I'd do something like use the computer, saying that I was breaking my rules (when really they just wanted to use it). I put up with it for 3 months. Then I snapped. I chewed out my favorite sister. Sadly, she was the one that said the sentence that pushed me over the edge. My sisters' jaws were literally left open. I'd never done that before in the 19 years before that moment. Resentment can lead to horrible decisions and drastic measures. I can agree with you that having eternal night would not be very beneficial (despite being a night owl and even being accused of being a vampire) to life seeing how important sunlight is for life to survive. When was the first time you ever went to speak to your older sibling about how they were ignoring you or ruining your life? I know I never did. Many, many issues would be solved if people would just share their feelings instead of letting it corrode their feelings. However, that requires putting oneself on the chopping block, and opening up for others to see your weaknesses, and nobody enjoys doing that. Celestia, as the older sibling, would have had the better chance of recognizing the growing anger inside of her sister, but really, how often do we care for the advice or instruction of our older siblings? Not until my sisters and I have all grown up have we really learned to get along. Remember that Luna was still super-tiny compared to Celestia upon her return to her natural form (pre-updated look). Luna had no intention of bringing pain to the ponies, but was tired of nopony being awake to enjoy her beautiful night. (I guess there weren't any gamers in the old days pulling all-nighters eh?) *** I meant for this to be much more profound, but I've not been able to devote as much time as I had hoped! I've spent the last week helping my parents pack up the house (all 6000+ sq. ft. so they can move out this week).

Re-watching the first episode and I just realized that Apple Fritter was the very first Apple family member AJ introduces! Go Fritter!! That's my girl!

Trying to draw a pic from the front? I've always liked that picture. I don't really follow anyone on here (or anywhere for that matter, be it fb, twitter, dA [i follow Adam Humphrey's on dA but that's because his plushes are divine]). I simply browse topics that pique my interest. Speaking of intrigue, your new thread has some interesting points already. **pic!

Just like Dashie, she's locked up!! Unshackle her! Look what you've made me do! and I thank you for it... After 3 (THREE!) pages on twentypercentcooler.net, searching for "Luna", I have 145 pics saved to my new "Luna" folder! I have another 54 pages to sort through and save all the SFW pics. Then it's on to derpibooru.org to search for anything not on 20% (currently another 2546 pages!), then onto dA (another 744,000 results...! (I shall not get bored!!) Anything for the NLR!!!

mega thread What game are you playing right now?
PE Brony replied to Mint Petal's topic in Media Discussion
Considering I put ~40-45 hours into it in the first 4 or 5 days...I'd agree with that. It even interfered with re-construction of my MtG deck that week, so I didn't make the adjustments I wanted to before the tournament that weekend! Darn Skyrim! I got up to lvl 25 in that time though... I haven't played in a week now, but that's because I'm at my dad's and have been helping pack up the house. -
mega thread What game are you playing right now?

Well, I found a copy of AC Black Flag, so I started playing that. Then, about 60% of the way through the game, my order of Star Wars: Republic Commando showed up! Then about 50% of the way through that one my roommate convinced me to try Skyrim...the jerk and now I can't decide which to finish first! (I know it has to be one of the first two since Skyrim never ends!!!)
