  2. How does one pay a price if not giving a deuce to stay current? And how you can be annoyed, if that's the case? I haven't seen it either, but I plan to.. maybe next week.. Nothing will ever beat The Little Mermaid for me, so nobody shouldn't count on me becoming obsessed with it.

aw ye metulz Let's get some rhythms in here?
  4. iunno if it counts, but 12 Angry Men.
  5. I might take my time to expound on that and lay out my reasons for why I have this particular hierarchy of houses. But.. it looks a bit different. And I won't submit it here unsolicitedly. As it stands above, it only follows the quality of characters introduced in the books. GD might actually be first, HP second. My actual hierarchy would consider how well the houses contribute to the overall story, history, and of course, the final stand.
  6. I was drinking my evening cup of Milky Jade Oolong as I decided to sign up on this forum. I thought it was "good enuff" for a name, the end. I probably would've chosen something different if I had bothered to think for a while.. but I might as well choose my favourite cup of tea and not give a deuce about cool little obscure references...
  7. I got slytherin'd by pottermore Oh well, not like these personality tests are accurate by any stretch IMO: HP > GD > SL >>>>> RC because fuck ravenclaw
  8. Oh, cry me a river, dear. And hop into my gondola. It's only for uninteresting people. Adventure! If I may, I didn't try to make that particular point, but it's very obviously true, nevertheless. I'll be elated to repeat: I'm used to 'civilized'. I think there are several modes in between 'friendly' and 'unfriendly'. I think a lot of the interesting stuff actually is bound to happen between the thresholds of 'neutral' and 'civilized'. As for between the distinctions, it's an infinite regression - the only thing that matters is, for me, that a person is not unfriendly. Give them all a chance, if you'd rather me say.
  9. My idea of what constitutes as civilized is more or less akin to friendliness dunno i guess I just have permanent rose-tinted glasses glued to my face or something If you say you're trying to be unfriendly, of course there would be no further contention in this matter, needless to say

It is a pity he was found to have ALS. To be able to play like this at the age of 16, and inspire the greatest modern guitarists, I find it sad he's so overlooked..
  11. I think it's a sign of delicious tears. But seriously, I understand this is about "having the strength to not be ashamed of crying"? As far as I'm concerned, you can both push and pull things - but both require strength. If you just let the object coast down a slippery slope, there is no strength involved....
  12. It depends a lot on the type of argument, but generally, find the fundamental flaw, whether it is in the premises, conclusion, or both. Debates are magnificent in the way that regardless of who 'wins', at least one party will leave it smarter than before. The inverse is also possible. But, as they are essentially a contradiction, it shouldn't be too difficult to find the false premise(s) upon which the contradiction thrive(s). The cumbering nature of arguments is, for the most part, confirmatory bias and the all too unthinkable "maybe I'm wrong".
  13. "Baby on board" And as you overtake them, they're smoking whilst using the phone..
  14. But I think you're nice.... O-oh, you must be joking. Haha.
  15. Searching for roblox in youtube referred me to a minecraft/lego crossover looking thing in which a child educated a grown person about the game. Thank you, that made my day. I'm not quite sure.. I couldn't count every occasion in which I try to make nonsense of appalling claims. Could I? Dunno. Maybe my entire online experience is just horribad. Oh wait! I know. The first first first day I entered 4chan. I was unfamiliar with the board mechanics, so I lost a picture that I -really really- wanted. I haven't been able to find it in years and probably never will. Tough cookies for this pony. It is then when you realize that this is the essential philosophy of communists. I've engaged in debates for untold times, but there has never been something quite as nauseating as the entire collectivist range. I'd even go further and say they're an insult to the human conscience as such..

  20. Sure, why don't you just keep insisting I would be denying evidence because of my denying-of-baseless-theories Go ahead and swallow the key to your great insight, but please, please stop insisting I'm not interested in the contents of the chest. For celestia's sake?
  21. If you were to, at a specific time in history, tell me that the earth is round and not flat, I'd be nonplussed But the crucial difference between ancient philosophers/astronomers and you was that they -actually- bothered to produce conclusive evidence. If you want to "wow" me in the same way the shape of earth came as a surprise to anybody, it is incumbent upon you to show me how the earth is round and why you think the earth is round. If you can't be arsed to, too bad. Just don't be surprised that I'll continue being nonplussed about a baseless theory.
  22. Continues to share his ideas in 3..2.. Is there anything which ought to lead me to believe otherwise? Here you state that you're aware you made non-falsifiable propositions, but you still possess the bleeding arrogation to press the onus on me? I asked you to prove your case more than once. I'm really not keen on being told over and over again that I don't need that proof, and that I'm being arrogant for dismissing a claim asserted without evidence, without evidence. The reason I'm not tolerating that sort of paltry exercise should be clear to anybody. Nice try taking this to personal grounds, though? *sigh* More grand claims? Did you study psychoanalysis at the psychology institute of zimbabwe? "the rational mind operates based on fear and opposition of harmful influences" I disagree, obviously, but why lay out my reasons? You might as well have said "you're afraid of the truth, so you blinker your mind in order to live on in peace" At some level or other this implies I've already accepted your proposition but compartmentalize it. I'm sorry, but.. do you really, really think it is appropriate to claim " I don't claim to be right "? As far as I see, you've done nothing but. I'm still interested in where all of this is coming from. Still waiting for a shred of explanation. I think of emotional reactions as that. Reactions. They operate in accordance with what you value. Rational fear, as a sense and reaction, is the emotional response to the jeopardy of your values. It can only come into operation if you are uncertain. Moreover, the way I see it, you're again accusing me of intellectual laziness (the non-acceptance of new ideas over the ones I've studied extensively), and I really burn to know where that is coming from. I think the crux of this issue has always been this: How can you claim to know or have insight or possess knowledge of something to which I don't have the access to? Is it possible for me to make sense of the way things make sense inside -your- mind? If so, why are we still pussyfooting around the meat of the problem? Do you even care to talk to me beyond asserting I'm too stuck-up to understand, even though I'm asking you the quintbillionth time? Do you go in the tea thread? We can go there. My name is actually a hint. Milky Jade Oolong is among my favourite cups of tea, but you can find out more there!
  23. Teaaaaa? You know, that thing with hot water and leaves
  24. Well.. after a fashion! It'd be nice if all it took to wash out the hate is by flooding it with indiscriminate affection, but I'm just the kind of person that likes to race against the odds. The grand hugging of the unhugged and broohooving higgledy-piggledy has commenced. Hope you like the sensation of wool~.
