  1. Pretty much any Nordic country, namely Iceland or Denmark. Aside from adoring the languages and food, the idea of being somewhere that has more than a few hundred years of its own history in its museums is a definite attraction. Plus, it could also help me with my dream job of Medieval Norse archeology, since I'll be in the country already
  2. Generally my single-player games are pure Vanilla, with the occasional mod here or there, but most of the time it's just utility. (Skyrim's pony armor and PEW arrows be the exception). By that point it's mostly just personal challenges, like using no archers in an RTS. With multiplayer I also do little challenges (particularly if I'm losing, and know there's no more chance of winning without flukes). Idiotic tactics like charging a sniper nest with nothing more than a knife, or taking down a helicopter become staples of the game real quick. Best part is when they actually work, and you can confuse them with your brilliant stratagem XD
  3. Generally only sneeze once, but it's a usually a bit of a doozy. Actually knocked myself to the ground from a sudden sneeze one time. Not my proudest moment, obviously :/
  4. Either I'm surrounded by idiots, or it must be a real talent to know all 50 states.

  5. Reformatted the family desktop, forgot to get all my saved games. Guess I'll start Skyrim all over :P

      Oven Mitts

      aww *hugs* Good luck

  6. Something to do with Cards and Board games. As much as I love my video games, I will always enjoy a good round of Rummy with some friends around a card table. Plus, I can actually build a board game easier than a video game
  7. Why the hay not join in Looks: 7/10 Smarts: 8/10 Kindness: 7/10 Welp, I'm either a Jerk or a Nerd. Definitely a Nerd, but I have some pretty unpopular opinions and a mean streak sometimes.
  8. Never eat a full quarter loaf of bread. It's never worth it. Never.

  9. It boggles my mind that strangers need to touch each other before being friendly. With that being said, I generally prefer to go with a small salute or a small nod/bow, depending on the situation. Not completely adverse to handshakes though, since professional world runs on that contact
  10. I actually haven't been able to get a copy of the new Smash Bros (nor the console unfortunately), but from playing Brawl, I'd imagine Lucario and Link (Toon and normal) would still be my best fighters. No opinions about the new characters yet, of course
  11. I tend to sleep with one of two plushies, that me and my other half trade. Currently she has Fluttershy, while I get to snuggle PON3 to sleep (both are official Hasbro too). They both belong to her, so I want to try and get some pones of me own to snuggle.
  12. I make a few allusions to the Bible, when they are actually more applicable than just my own advice. But I'm not Christian, nor have I never read the Bible fully, so it's fairly rare to finding me quoting the Bible at all. The closest things I personally have to sacred texts are actually the Ancient Norse Sagas, particularly the Havamal. I don't tend to quote from them often though, due to having to explain the flowery translation into english and people not understanding what I've said. Example passage: Wise in measure should each man be; but let him not wax too wise; seldom a heart will sing with joy if the owner be all too wise. AKA: Ignorance is bliss, but don't be completely ignorant.
  13. THings to learn: A co-op game shouldn't be attempted alone if you want your dignity to survive.

  14. Torn between laughing, crying, and being scared reading everybody else. Mine aren't much better, I suppose I currently am sleeping with a DJ-PON3 plushie. It's not mine either, since my other half gave her to me for a while. I sometimes drool while I sleep (making my above fact even more fun) I have spent over $30 on a purely cosmetic item in a F2P game. I was at one point so used to fabricating stories to appear cooler, about 70% of my elementary school adventures are delusions. Slightly addicted to R34/Clopfics Help others cheat to pass a class they would have failed otherwise.
  15. Oh boy. History, and fiction >:3 WWI, of course, for the reasons mentioned prior. Civil Wars in general. Video games might be odd, when reloading your rifle takes half a minute, but that could add to the "realness" of the game. And I can't recall hearing about Cromwell in /any/ game or story I've read, so it'd be a nice twist. Virtually anything from before the fall of Rome/Middle Ages. While we get mythology quite often, it's hard to find good ways to spark people's interest in how Ptolemy XII just loved the flute and enraged his court And of course, I demand the Viking Ages.
  16. All the games I grew up playing, being 8-bit NES games, got me interested in game design. I even came up with an over-ambitious project to create an 8-bit Super Smash Bros. Kingdom Hearts got me interested into Japanese Culture, and anime soon after, which beforehand I really disdained (no idea why). Now anime is my regular sketching practice And an odd mix of the Assassin's Creed series, Chivalry, and Counter Strike has made me want to start working out and learn combat skills/free-running, assuming my body can stand it (My own laziness and an injured back prevents that much though XD )
  17. I like to believe that I'm above average intelligence, not only from the few tests that psychologists like to throw at me (I can't name percentiles, but they were "quite high", apparently :/ ) but also from just from growing up at least learning above everybody else I knew. Most people were amazed that I did a Shakespeare play for a book report in 6th, but I had been reading his plays by 2nd grade. With history, I seem to pass some of the teacher's I've had sometime, being able to cite sources that were so new that they were still unproven (many debates over something discovered only months prior were common). I'm nowhere near genius, but I have quick wit and actively learn on my own, so long as numbers don't need to be involved.
  18. I have no idea why I'm here. But while I'm here, I might as well throw my hat in the ring. I keep things tame, if only to keep my sanity from dealing with fair more overall hair than most lads, particularly in... "LE BUUSH" Don't ask how I know that.
  19. Gonna have to go old school, before the age of color. Sea Hawks, with Errol Flynn, from 1940. Pirates, iconic music of the era, pirates, and a plot that I actually like. Plus, Errol Flynn I feel like I'm the only one that will know who that is. Also a good choice for those odd assignments in school that require you to pick historical movies.
  20. @, Danke ve for the programs. Once our household desktop is back to working condition (undergoing a total restore right now), I'll be sure to check out all these programs. Hopefully they don't cause as much lag as my earlier attempts
  21. If only given these two, I'd actually choose Sonnet. It does have a different vibe to it, as you said, and while it lacks the personal connections, over time Sonnet could become personal too. However, combining them (Silver Sonnet) doesn't seem to work too bad either, so long as you willing for the extra syllable.
  22. I suppose you could count my slowly expanding board game collection as something I'm actively collecting. I've fallen in love with gaming since I was younger, and it just keeps getting worse with every game of Catan, Heroscape, and MageStones. I'm also interested in finding some older/obscure games, if I'm lucky enough to find them.
  23. Just completed The Oregon Trail for the first time. Only myself and Tangent made it out alive, after I drowned everybody else.

  24. Gray Fox, for simple admiration I have for them. Striking colors, the ability to climb trees, and being a hunter all appeals to me on some level.
  25. Me and a couple friends have decided to build a small gaming group, much like Yogscast or TfTools/Toolbox. I would absolutely love to record some of our online shenanigans, but I need to find a good video software beforehand. I also have no real experience with video software, but learn fairly quickly. Is there any software that you can suggest for videogame recordings? Preferably free, of course, but I'm personally will to throw some change at a good program.
