  1. I was not surprised when I first heard about this a few days ago. They are just YouTubers who are trying to capitalise on their popularity. Reaction videos are far from being the most original concept and the fact that they considered getting it trademarked shows that they would do anything to raise their revenue of an already successful network.

Hello there SFS, what is the most challenging project you had to work on and why?
  6. It's heartening to see so many people come forth and donate for a common cause. This is truly the most generous community I've ever been a part of. <3
  7. This is indeed quite saddening to hear. A tragic event like this results in so many innocent lives lost. I extend my deepest condolences to the families and victims of the attack and hope that the terrorists responsible face the full brunt of the law.

  9. I'm fairly certain that none of these are paid positions, they are all volunteer-based. You should only be applying if you are interested in helping Poniverse succeed, not because of monetary incentives.
  10. I liked how it was released to coincide with Halloween. I heard it was leaked prior to today's airing though, what a shame. Overall, it was a decent episode and the pacing was slow at some parts. The plot was also predictable especially the segment where Fluttershy tries to partake in activities that her friends were participating in and she was pointing out all the things that could possibly be terrifying to her. On a more positive note, the costumes looked fantastic and Derpy makes a brief appearance cosplaying as Twilight. Also, I had expected the episode to conclude with Fluttershy finally conquering her fear of being out on Nightmare Night, but I'm glad that the resolution was somewhat unexpected as she decided that Nightmare Night was not her cup of tea.
  11. After re-watching the episode, I do agree with other people that have stated that the pacing of the episode could have been better. The segment of the episode where Diamond Tiara confronts her mother at the Ponyville schoolhouse and had a sudden change of heart saying that the CMC are her friends felt abrupt since she had wanted to be reinstated as the class president only a few moments ago. Also, the fact that Diamond Tiara's mother happened to be at the schoolhouse felt contrived. However, it was probably difficult for the writers as they had to priortise some scenes over others and attempt to fit everything in one single episode. Nevertheless, with the catchy songs, great dialogue and all the feels, it still remains my favorite episode of the season thus far.

gaming Pay to Win in Gaming

This topic piqued my interest since the current gaming industry is saturated with what is loosely described as "P2W" games. The primary reason why pay-to-win games are so prevalent today is because it's a formula that actually works effectively. I dislike such games as well, but unfortunately they exist in copious amounts. I am perfectly fine with paying for subscription-based MMOs or paying a fee upfront to enjoy all the content that the game has to offer. Microtransactions are also acceptable in my book too, as long as they are for cosmetic purposes and do not affect the gameplay. However, in reality, most microtransactions do affect the gameplay, granting paying players with extra benefits/perks or access to exclusive cards/items. These pay-to-win games often come across as a free-to-play game initially, to hook gamers in and entice players to try out the game themselves. After investing a bit of time into these games, you then realise that it's actually pay-to-win, These games capitalise on our inner spirit of competitiveness and this is further boosted by the fact these games are predominantly multiplayer games. It is human nature to strive towards being a better player than others, but if it involves spending obscene amounts of money, then I do not support it. However, as mentioned at the start of this post, it is a business model that works and I have spoken to a few players of some games who have spent thousands and thousands trying to outdo one another. You would think that these people have a large amount of disposable income, however more often that not, this is not the case. Many gave in to temptation as there is an alternative method present which allows you to avoid all the grinding. From experience, I've learnt that it is not worth spending a single cent on these games. They are typically designed to maximise short-term profits and most of the time, the environment becomes too unbalanced and players will eventually leave. I do miss the days when microtransactions were mainly for cosmetic items or speed upgrades. In conclusion, I am more than willing to pay for a game upfront than play through another pay-to-win game that manipulates their players to spend money in a competitive environment.
  14. It is plausible, I could see it happening in the season finale. I am interested in seeing how their newborn would look like.
  15. The longest I've stayed awake was for about 36 hours before falling asleep. It was not a pleasant experience as the sleep-deprived version of myself couldn't concentrate on anything at all.
  16. I thought the ending reference to the earlier season's Maud Pie episode was a nice touch. Rock soup? Sounds absolutely delicious. It was nice to see that the fact that Pinkie Pie & Applejack might be related wasn't just a one-off thing in Pinkie Apple Pie and that they had continued that in this episode. I felt that the recap on how Hearth's Warming Eve wasn't entirely necessary and the timing could have been better to coincide with Christmas. However, the episode still provided everyone with a proper showcase of Pinkie Pie's family, which was interesting to say the least. The message of the episode about respecting each other's traditions was fairly clear and present throughout the entire episode. Overall, it was an enjoyable episode.
  17. I might consider it. I've met some friends there who I still keep in touch with, so it is indeed an important chapter in my life. I remember going into high school a long time ago with the preconceived notion that is going to be awful in every way possible. Despite it being stressful as the environment there was very competitive, the experience was quite enjoyable overall.

  19. Society has ingrained in our minds a certain code of conduct on what is deemed as politically correct. Even when random strangers approach me or talk to me on public transportation, I respond in a courteous manner.
  20. I don't go overseas often so I've only been to Malaysia, Thailand and Japan so far. Nevertheless, I've still enjoyed those few overseas trips that I've been on.

    gaming Fallout 4

I'm certainly looking forward to its release. My expectations are also at an all-time high considering its hefty price tag and the hype surrounding it.
  22. I feel a tinge of nostalgia, looking a few years back and contemplating about the life decisions which I've made.
  23. It took me well over 200 hours to complete Monster Hunter Freedom Unite since there is a constant need to grind for better equipment.
  24. I find that I'm a bit of both. I really don't have preference on being a leader/follower, but I am willing to step up and take charge if necessary.
  25. I would have to go with the Ender Dragon in Minecraft. When it was initially released, I was expecting an epic battle. Needless to say though, the battle was underwhelming and posed no challenge at all, especially since it only had one attack which was to swoop down on the player. However, there are some updates being applied to the Ender Dragon in the upcoming 1.9 update and with the nerf of golden apples and the change in the dragon's attack patterns, the battle may be tougher and provide a more rewarding experience.
