  1. I'm feeling lonely. I went out tonight so I could be sociable and stuff but didn't talk to anyone and nobody talked to me. Can't help feel bad after being ignored by an entire pub full of people.
  2. [sigh] Ok then... I don't think it's something that's worth the time, effort and money required to create in an official capacity. If fans want to make it themselves or it's just a simple port then go ahead, that might be worth it. I for one wouldn't buy it.
  3. Well, at CEX they sell it used for £32. The lowest Amazon UK price is about £29. The lowest Amazon US price is $39.50. Currently $39.50 = £25.22. So in the UK it sells for slightly more than in the US.
  4. Meh, it's not one that really needs to exist. If they just re-released it on eShop with modern compatibility so you could trade to pokemon bank or something then that would be cool, although I still wouldn't buy it.
  5. A teaspoon of instant coffee, a teaspoon of sugar and something to whiten does me just fine. Coffee itself is an alright drink. I wouldn't recommend depending on it for energy. It's not a replacement for breakfast as some people treat it. Coffee addicts do my head in though. The phrase 'I'm no good until I've had my coffee' kills me every time I hear it. I hate people who rush home, swear they need a coffee more than anything, make it then immediately get distracted and do something else AND NOT EVEN DRINK THE DAMN THING!! I hate it when people try to cram a coffee into the tiniest spaces of time. It's like 'Hey we need to leave for this appointment in 5 minutes. Want a coffee?' YOU'RE NOT GOING TO DRINK A CUP OF BOILING HOT COFFEE IN 5 MINUTES!! At work it's terrible, people leave half drank cups of coffee and tea lying around all over the place and since my job involves keeping a home clean and presentable, ready for inspection, I have to drop everything and stop what ever I'm doing so I can clear away all these bloody coffee cups!! Stop it!! .................. but yeah, flat white with sugar please... .... and with a shot of whiskey...
  6. Sorry, just to clarify, you were in fact homeless for a period of time? Please tell us, how did you get out of that situation? How did you earn your pennies to get out of there?
  7. It's interesting, certainly. Of course, poverty itself takes on a lot of forms throughout the world. Saying that, I haven't kept track of exactly where everyone in this thread is from.
  8. {groan}... I hate picking out favourites SikTh Avenged Sevenfold Paul Gilbert Trivium Jimmy Eat World Meshuggah Periphery The Manic Shine Rage Against The Machine Audioslave The Beatles Bob Marley Django Reinhardt Foo Fighters Stereophonics and so many many more that I either haven't given enough time or just miss out on being considered 'favourite'
  9. Well, it would completely undermine the mistique and power of the princesses.
  10. Lets go easy on the judgements here people. As much as some of you may not like it people have expressed some valid reasons not to give directly to the homeless. They have every right not to do so and I don't want to see them getting harshly criticised for something they've made a logical decision not to do. It's more of a case of people feeling intimidated and pressured to give away money when they don't want to. I don't think anyone here has the judgement of 'You are homeless and therefore only going to buy drugs'. The phrase 'you don't know their backstory or intentions' goes both ways. No, you don't know their intentions. They could be innocent and smart and using it to feed themselves or they could be addicts, fakes or scammers, ready to either trick or be back in the exact same situation the next day. You simply don't know and it's a risk you run by giving away. Also I spend money on unnecessary things because I can afford to take risks. I would hope that anyone in a far worse situation would be smarter than that. Is that really true? There would probably be a lot more problems in the world that could be solved if anyone could just waltz in and immediately get a job. Unemployment is a problem within the non-homeless as well. There is competition. In any job, what reason is there to give a job to a beggar than anyone else. Unless he has some very specialist skills, he is forever going to be surrounded by the stigma of untrustworthyness and undesirabilty that beggars have and has no chance of competing against others.
  11. For me it's a local guitar player. He's so much better than me in everyway but he's such an arrogant prick that he drives me towards blind hate. Not only are his bands very popular but apparently he spent a significant portion of his childhood in a wheelchair, just playing guitar. So not only is he insanely talented but he has an X-Facter-esque sob story to go with it!? Goddam it I hate him so much!!
  12. I can only judge by saying that the game library of the PS3 appealed to my tastes more than the 360 did even though I bought a 360, not a PS3 at the time. Other than that, they both seem rubbish to me. Probably the best time to get into PC gaming honestly. There doesn't seem to be any good reason to go next gen for me. The graphics are only marginally better. The new tech and capabilities haven't advanced gaming in any way. The consoles themselves are riddled with missing features (backwards compatibility is just the tip of the iceberg.) Do either of them have Transbot? No? Then I guess Sega Master System is better.
  13. I live in the UK, unless I just happened to be nearby then I wouldn't be going anyway. Even if there was a con near me chances are I wouldn't go. I'm a bit too secretive and shy about this whole pony thing. I'm not going to travel all the way to Manchester to attend Buck or anything. Train's expensive.
  14. When I first watched the show, Fluttershy was the pony that spoke to me the most. She reminds me of myself in so many ways. I've spent most of my life being just as shy and withdrawn as she is, with my own problems when it comes to assertiveness and self-esteem. I want more than anything in the show for Fluttershy to find love. Any other character finding love would just be 'oh, that's nice' but Fluttershy deserves her true love more than any other pony. I hear that later this season I dunno, should I change my favourite pony from Rainbow Dash back to Fluttershy? Dashie has had so many more interesting episodes...
  15. No because that would be a silly, dumb, disrespectful, stupid thing to do. Plus, the day I hate on someone for not liking MLP is the day that I get 10 slaps across the face and an inbox full of accusations of paedophilia, bestiality, zooaphilia, plushaphilia, etc.
  16. Just ask me out if you're interested...
  17. Yep. The non-existence of feet in first person gaming is the primary reason why first person platforming doesn't work. Sometimes during first-person cutscenes they turn up but not during gameplay so sometimes you run around like you're a torso floating through the air only to sprout limbs when a cutscene happens.

    mega thread Metal Thread

My all time favourite band. A very under known yet very influential underground British export, getting ready to release new music for the first time since 2006.
  19. My best memories of Halo were of playing the first game, split-screen with my friends and playing co-op. To me it's just a core aspect of the franchise. It's silly to me that you can play with someone across country but not with someone sat right next to you. Worried about the frame rate dropping? I guess connection lag is ok then? Besides, since when was 30fps a bad thing? In the middle of frantic shooty action who actually cares?
  20. Do you give to the homeless? In the UK, begging is illegal. It's considered anti-social behaviour. In some situations I understand this. Being put in these kind of situations can certainly make people feel very intimidated and the beggar in question has every chance of being aggressive or violent in their mannerisms. If you give money to a homeless person, how do you know what they're doing with it? Are they purchasing their thankful meal of the day or are they immediately indulging their cocaine addiction? A scary statistic popped up in my home town lately saying that half or so of the beggars on our streets were actually not homeless at all and were people disguised as homeless to beg for money. Even then, I'm inclined to hand a couple of pounds to the friendly beggars I come across at night, especially if I'm doing something frivolous like drinking. Homelessness is a horrible thing. There are perfectly innocent beggars who were victims of circumstance and misfortune and possess amazing talents. I sometimes wish I could do more. As far as I know there are no homeless charities in my area. Even when handing to beggars I skimp and reserve my donation. I don't know why, I can spare so much more. Maybe it's for the reasons I listed above or maybe I just have anxieties concerning the personal interactions or the criminal applications of doing so. Sometimes, as much as I feel like doing so, I don't give anything and walk on by and I don't know why. Social pressure, maybe? It makes me feel so guilty. How about you guys? What are your personal policies on begging? Do you give to beggars? I will not judge or criticise if you don't. As I've mentioned, there are many reasons why you would not and I don't want you to feel guilty or judged yourself.
  21. Go to Tesco and you can buy 5 for £1. Of course you can have one, I'm not gonna eat them all. However, if I have just a single jam-filled doughnut then attempting to split it turns into a sticky, red, sugar-covered mess.
  22. Generally the best advice I can give you is 'Be smart, be aware and don't be a dick'
  23. Nothing because I hate drawing attention to myself for a celebration that's pretty much worthless. Also I have very few friends who I'm too shy to disturb.
  24. I have... NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube Sega Master System, Mega Drive, Dreamcast, Playstation 2, Playstation 3 Xbox 360 Sega Game Gear, Atari Lynx, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, GBASP, DS, 3DS, It's honestly too much for me. I've considered selling most of my collection off but chances are it won't be worth monetarily what it's worth in play value (Granted I don't play anywhere near as much as I used to). Some of my games I love to pieces which I would won't to hold on to no matter what. For example if I wanted to sell my entire 360 collection I would have to keep Deathsmiles and Tales Of Vesperia and in turn a 360 to play them on. Is it worth keeping the console just to play 2 games I love? The rest of my collection would sell for a total of about £15 because they're all essentially worthless. I'm not interested in the current generation at all.
  25. Be sad for a bit, get over it, develop another favourite pony.
