Define "Overrated". She is incredibly popular, so I can see why people would say she is overrated, but it's more of a buzzword these days. She's cute and amusing but not my favorite Dazzling. She's probably going to be flanderized as much as Derpy when/if she reappears again. She said Tacos ONCE, now she is the Taco-Girl......

What makes you think the whole world has a singular ruler? And that it would be a Presidency? For the records, Princess Celestia does not rule the world in FiM, just one kingdom.

They probably cut those scenes so they could move them to Legend of Everfree where they will actually bare fruit and be relevent. They deserve more than just being isolated within a movie that is not concerned with them. Anyway, besides the cut scenes, I think, like the first movie, Friendship Games could have benefited tremendously from an extra 10-20 minutes. Primerily so the Shadowbolts could have more characterization, poor Lemon Zest only had two lines and those were on the bus. They also should have explicity stated what caused Twilight to turn evil, though I assume it was because the magic merged with the negative feelings she was constantly experiencing.(Fear, Alienation, Loneliness, Sadness, Anxiety, Stress). I was expecting some malevolent entity to be forming within Twilight's magic eating device, i feel that would have been a better option than just having Twilight go evil for no explained reason, then we could have had a "purified" form of Midnight Sparkle who teams up with Daydream Shimmer to kill/banish it.

She knew because it was funny. That is what she does, she uses cartoon logic to do funny things. There is no profound reasoning, no conspiracy, no intricate backstory, she just knew because it was funny. Any head canons and make-belief on anyone's part as to how she knew is just a form of insanity on the persons part and inability to simply accept simple notions in a cartoon. Just suspend your disbelief and enjoy the show.

I think it would be more interesting if the magic was native to the Human world. It would be one way they could differentiate the two settings by having their magic be different. A portal to Equestria could still open, though.

Highly unlikely. If he's unique, he shouldn't be so easily handled by some Ponies. It was also stated in literally the first scene he ever appeared in what he was - a Draconequus, and implied there may be more of his species. He is A Chaos Spirit, not THE Chaos Spirit. If he was THE Chaos spirit then there is a major imbalance going down and Discord is nowhere near as powerful as he should be. Anyone who reads Marvel Comics and is aware of the Cosmic scope should know what I'm talking about. Anyway, I suspect the Equestria Girls version of Discord will actually remain a Chaos Spirit and perhaps even a Draconequus, rather than being depowered into a Human civilian form. He will probably appear in Legend of Everfree.

It's reasonable to assume that the differences in Pony and Human society would have an impact on the different versions of the characters. For instance, this Fluttershy has less to be afraid of or shy about since they live in a world where she didn't have to go through flight school and doesn't have to worry about spectres or manitcores or hydras ruining everyone's day.

Friendship and Happiness, Friendship and Happiness is the reason. That and MAGIC. This fandom can be very vapid sometimes.

Why not both? Yeah let's go with that. One thing to consider, though, what kind of character would Sunset be if she returned to Equestria? A recurring character like Luna would be the safest bet, since she lacks the quirks and such to become one of the main cast. Unless of course her quirk is that she uses her knowledge of Human technology to become the "Techie" of the team.

Kind of reminds me of how Japan finally got an Equestria Girls and Rainbow Rocks dub on commission by Netflix Japan, and a Season 3 dub on the way.

It's not fair to dislike Flash turning on Twilight in Rainbow Rocks, the Sirens spell was effecting him. It literally was not his fault.

The students would be hard-pressed to find evidence to prove anything she does, like her blackmailing Twilight. She is devious, cunning and has lots of influence and, most importantly, holds almost absolute power over everyone at her school. I dare say that's what could make her a great villain in a series. Think of it as the students as the Rebel Alliance and Cinch as Darth Vader or Moff Tarkin.

Fired for doing what? It's not like they can report her for indirectly causing someone to turn into an angry demigod.

They probably returned to Crystal Prep and began focusing on lightening the mood there, probably with Cinch trying to block their efforts. Alternatively, Cinch might see the potential for "camaraderie" and begin fostering friendship and loyalty around her school, if only as another way of beating Canterlot High, though I doubt she herself would value friendship as anything but a tool. She might even corrupt it.

Well at least it has the contrivances and nonsensical climaxes in common with the main show. It's also nice to know Celestia is just as useless as in the main show as well.

Since you seem like a major Sunset Shimmer fan, can I ask you for your opinion on something? I've seen people debate what Sunset's element would be if she ever acquired one of her own, rather than simply being a second Element of Magic. In my opinion, I think "Wisdom" fits her perfectly. Wisdom is something learned, something earned, not something you are born with, and I think having experienced both the light and the dark that she has probably become quite wise from her experiences on both ends of the spectrum.

The only leak I'm aware of was the Legend of Everfree image with the mystery character on the cover. Considering misinformation is common amongst the FiM/EqG fandom I'm inclined to be sceptical.

They will probably be moving her Home Sick/Emptiness plot they cut from Friendship Games to Legend of Everfree so that it can be focused on instead of just being a few minor scenes. Basically, she's home sick and misses solving magical mysteries and learning about mythological creatures, which is probably why they moved it to a movie about Everfree. The movie will probably be about Sunset and friends discovering where all the Human magic has gone and how to properly control it.

That's pretty obtuse closed-minded. It's like me saying people watch FiM because they're furries. I know they're not, I mean, they might, but it's not the main reason most people watch it.

I don't think I've seen anyone thinking it was Pony world Spike. I thought it was so made so very very clear it was Human world Spike, as he even mentions how he can now suddenly talk and how he remembers characters Pony world Spike would not, like Cinch. Someone would have to have some kind of memory and attention disorder to not get the message.
