All fandoms are going to have their more extreme fans claiming that certain characters are the best, this season is the best, or the show was ruined when they did this, etc. I am part of the Lion King fandom and there is a divide between hate/love/indifference to The Lion Guard. Even worse would be Kopa from The Lion King Six New Adventures. There are so many threads whether he's cannon or not. Anime can get pretty fanatical as well even though I am an otaku. I think it's fairly rude to say "Oh, you only watch that show, you're not a true fan!" In anime there's the sub vs. dub debate. Subs have gotten better since the days of DBZ and Sailor Moon, but I still prefer subtitles because I feel it is more accurate and I get more of an authentic feel. However, some people are dub fans, and I'm okay with that (I'd recommend staying away from some like Sailor Moon and Cardcaptors mainly because of how horribly they're done). Even pet ownership has its radicals. If you don't feed your pet a certain food or follow a certain type of diet you are setting your pet up for health failure, are an irresponsible owner, etc.

Pretty good thus far. My husband and I are moving (five houses down) and I am working on my dissertation. Work starts again in August (I'm a teaching) but still have training to attend to.

I don't play a lot of video games, but my all time favorite is Starfox especially for the N64. I also have one for my gameboy which is pretty good, but I always love the N64 version best especially because it was the first game to use the rumble pack. Besides Fox, my favorite character would be Crystal. Any other fans?

My husband and I love this show and it's very funny. Louis is my favorite and the actress who voices her is also on the show Last Man on Earth and that show is funny to. I can relate to poor Bob sometimes feeling nothing goes right! I also like Tina because I feel I'm a lot like her at times. There was a cosplay here in Dallas that had Bob's burgers which was really cool

Besides MLP the only kid's show I like that's on is The Lion Guard. I'm going to have to agree that Littlest Pet Shop is horrible. I grew up with the original toys and I hate the reboot they've done where they have these weird oversized heads! Eek! My pre-K kids like Paw Patrol and it seems pretty decent. I actually miss Blue's Clues (first one with Steve). I don't watch Cartoon Network or Disney anymore, but when my niece was really little she loved Dora the Explorer and I hated it! I still find it annoying. The stupid map is in your backpack, duh! Teen Titans Go makes me need eye bleach. I loved Teen Titans (Starfire and Raven) and wish they would have kept the original Teen TItans. How cool was it the theme song switched between English and Japanese (squee, fangirl anime squeal). Teletubbies is so horrifying! I can't believe this passed as a kid's show. The sun is a babies face, it's just makes me cringe. Special Agent Oso I mean really? The special agent has no clue how to tie a shoe and you're supposed to help a little kid do it? Yo Gabba Gabba it's just nightmare fuel and Doodlebops, more nightmare fuel. I forgot to mention the reboot of The Care Bears. Why!!? The 80s version was fine why make them have huge swollen heads?

I have older siblings. My late half-sister was eighteen years older than me when I was born. She was 18 and had just gotten married. I was an aunt when I was four years old. My half-brother was sixteen, but moved out when he was eighteen. I have pretty much been like an only child since my siblings were so much older when I was born. I was used to being around adults more than kids my own age. My mom also had me later in life at 38. I now only have my half-brother who is still living, my half-sister died from lung cancer. I do have siblings from my biological father that I am getting to know. I have two half sisters in their 40s and a half-brother who is about five years older than me. I never met my biological father and only connected with my siblings through Facebook.

Probably because of the lack of female to male ratio depending on the show. I personally don't do slash/fem slash but when you have a show that is mainly male characters or in the case of MLP female characters that arises. Someone mentioned yaoi/yuri those are usually in lemon/lime territory. A lot of anime has gay/lesbian characters (Haruki and Michiru) there were quite a few in Sailor Moon plus yaoi is it's own genre in anime (which is mostly read by straight women, but that's a whole different thread). Please don't call me a homophobe but I don't like gay relationships either, especially when fanfic writers make gay ships out of someone who is straight as confirmed in the series (like Miroku from Inuyasha). Not liking gay shipping doesn't make you a homophobe.
