Being a high end thief meant he made people with lots of resources mad. So he couldn't take chances with meeting new people.

    Hey I was wondering how does project horizons stack against the original story? I got the limited edition leather print of the original and I absolutely love Lil Pip

      FoE is a masterpiece; that being said, I feel that PH is a worthy and rightful sequel to it - though I warn you, it IS longer than the original.

      Granted, PH gets a good bit darker than FoE, but that's part of what makes it work - because the heroes fall SO far, yet the end is on such a dramatically grand note... 

      It fits the genre, and it handles the canon really well - including a cameo by Lil' Pip & company!

      Honestly, in my mind, this is the only worthy sequel to such a tale as FoE... but I'd also suggest Pink Eyes, Duck & Cover and ESPECIALLY Murky Number Seven, as they all fit together nicely, and between them, they define the entire FoE world as it should be... a world of ponies that exists in the aftermath of war.

      Because, war... war never changes.

      Ive thought of getting the Stable Tech logo or the AJ Ranger Logo as part of an MLP tat. So now I got another FOE story to read. But man I just got done with the original ( my second read since BronyCon )... not sure if I can step back into the world just yet. There are parts of it that are heartbreaking

      Oh, Project Horizons goes beyond the levels of FoE; it gets SERIOUS, especially for our heroine...

      But also remember, this is the story that taught me the mantra 'DO BETTER'; I'm still trying to live up to it to this day.

    Yes any illegal activities are a problem, especially when they are hurting people. However there is a big difference between something being an issue and something being a big issue within a community. The original statement is the same type of language used when people make claims of video games causing violence any time a game does something violent.

    How on earth does a few hundred people ( at most ) equate to a huge problem when the total number of fighting game enthusiasts number in the hundreds of thousands if not in the million plus mark?

    Neither site does anything inherently illegal just by existing. So if individuals do something illegal yes punish that. But censoring a site for ideas you don't like? Who are you to demand that? Worse and more importantly who do you trust with the power to ban nasty things you dislike that do not inherently harm people? Do you even grasp the legal precedent it sets? Or how dangerous greasing that slope is? This is why most people have no business discussing legal matters. They fail to do the most basic research needed to understand what they are asking or its long term consequences.

    I admit I wish they had pulled that thread a bit. Even vaguely hinting at the reasoning could have been enough. I wonder if they intend to explore it in the comics. Or maybe as a legend in G5

    Yet the second they found out the true meaning of Scoots talents and the CMC they relented. In short nopony messes with anothers special gift. None of that has anything to do with them being CMC forever or always being a team. Or even always working together. There is nothing that prevents each of them from solving cutie mark issues solo. Ponies often have the same gifts or very similar ones. A short list Twilight/Starlight Pinkie/ Cheese Sandwhich Rarity/ Coco Pommel Further they all have individual talents that enhance their over all talent in different ways. So they are not bonded any any way that is different from any other set of friends that have a gift that is made better when they combine their talents.

    Their overriding talent is to help others gain their cutie marks and solve cutie mark related issues. ( like they do for Bulky ) So I think it's perfect where they end up as a group and as as adult. I believe their individual talents are shown during twilight time and during the talent show episodes. As individuals we see great growth. Also I gotta disagree that they inevitably must separate. Its entirely possible they are CMC for life.

    I was an E5 ie Petty Officer Second Class. ( equivalent of Sergeant) I even passed the test for E6 just as I got out. So I could have made the equivalent of Staff Sergeant if I stayed in and had enough advancement points. To give context i did not just refuse the order. I threatened to write up anyone that followed it. So I prevented it from happening period.

    Depends on the branch of service. Navy there are boards and job testing. Other branches use various other selection procedures. As for why well higher wages, more responsibilities and better perks. Further enlisted stay enlisted unless they choose to go for officer school so it's not like you can rank up to officer at any point. Finally there are a lot of lies about the military here. 1. We do not spend most of our time killing anyone. Let alone innocent civilians which is a crime under the UCMJ. Most of what we do is humanitarian efforts. 2. No they cannot lay hands on you in bootcamp let alone outside it. 3. No you won't get kicked out for reporting behavior that violates standing orders. I have flat out refused a bad order from an higher ranking enlistedmen that came from one of the highest people in my chain of command. And nothing happened to me because I was in the right. Finally I did six years under dadt. That is how much I valued my service and what I gained from it.

    I try to meditate daily for roughly thirty minutes to an hour. I divide it up into three sessions. Morning, noon, and evening. Most Jedi I know meditate at least once a day as its an important part of our basics. Though some do swap it for other mindfulness exercises. I use various methods so sometimes I have music and other times I don't. But I do enjoy the music sessions the most. As for style of music I most often use instrumentals, nature sounds, or Jesi specific meditation videos.

    Qui-Gon Jinn. He was a true Jedi and one of the few that saw the issues the fictional Jedi needed to fix. Frankly he was the closest to the IRL Jedi ideal that we might have from the fiction.
