  1. An issue that FiM will always have with their villains is a lack of development. The only solution is for the villains to appear in more than one/one two part episode, but it does not appear that the makers of the show wish to have recurring villains, so we are stuck with underdeveloped characters like Sombra. Hopefully that will change.
  2. I'm annoyed by how little the Mane Six change. One of them can go through an entire episode that seemingly teaches them an important lesson, but in the next episode, she goes right back to the way she was. I'm not advocating mass personality changes of the Mane Six or turning them all in to Mary Sues, but a little character evolution and actual application of lessons they learn beyond the episode in which they learn them would make them more interesting and realistic.
  3. No. He does and says effectively nothing. He's the smoke monster from Lost, except with a underdeveloped and dull backstory. Not a fan at all.
  4. Very meh. The Crystal Fair was silly, the crystal ponies acted like loons, Sombra had about as much character as the smoke monster from Lost, we are told next to nothing about the Crystal Empire, and the entire plot somehow manages to drag and move slowly without actually revealing anything interesting. The character interactions were pretty good, but overall, these episodes did not hold a candle to the season 2 opener or finale.
  5. Why do so many bronies seem hellbent on spreading ponies everywhere? A great many threads here are discussions on the best methods for "converting" people, complaining about people who don't like the show, and a generally unhealthy obsession with this show. With as serious as some people are about spreading MLP, it can seem very cult-like at times, and that is very unsettling. Why do you guys care so much about making everyone like the show anyway?
  6. Completely, undoubtedly, unquestionably, certainly, absolutely, undeniably, unmistakeably, assuredly no.
  7. Both. Their contrasting personalities playing off each other is what makes them interesting. Neither one would be nearly as good a character alone as they are together.
  8. Would you like a spin-off show set in Equestria, but not following the Mane Six? Perhaps one set in Canterlot following the exploits of Vinyl Scratch and Octavia, or a western style show following Braeburn in Appleloosa.
  9. In Equestria, the only thing keeping the denizens of hell from escaping is a big dog. I'd have a huge security force too.
  10. I know that they are based on the Blue Angels; it just seems that they do more than just stunt shows.
  11. What exactly do the Wonderbolts do? Are they simply a stunt team, or are they the equivalent of an Equestrian air force?
  12. Epic haul for me today. I got both of the blind bags from series two that I still needed, (Meadow Song and Lovestruck.) the Rainbow set, (I now own Emerald Ray! Most excellent!) and the Canterlot and Cloudsdale three packs.
  13. We absolutely need more from Pinkamena. She was the most... unsettling of the breakdowns. Otherwise, I'd prefer for everyone to stay mostly sane.
  14. I bought basic Twilight and Fluttershy brushables today. The figures themselves aren't bad, but the hair is horrible to the point of utterly ruining them. I think I'll stick with blind bags.
  15. XII. I've played XII, XIII, X, VIII, and VII. XIII was horrendously bad, X was fun to play but the story was abysmal and Tidus is the worst main character ever in a video game, VIII sucked, and I couldn't really get in to VII. XII is the only one I really like. It had a near perfect combat system, interesting characters, a more mature and engaging story than the others, a ton of side quests, and really good art design.
  16. In my opinion, Trixie is a solid antagonist, but the most interesting thing about her is how her character could be fleshed out if she was given more screen time. At the risk of offending a lot of people, I think a more developed Trixie would be a more deep and interesting character than Fluttershy, although Trixie is a bit similar to Dash.
  17. Take a look at this prototype Twilight Sparkle action figure with head banging action. (Skip to 0:40 to see it.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=W_VuNdSWW78 It's official; Twilight is metal.
  18. Vintersorg's new album, Orkan, is very good. It's a bit difficult to describe, but I guess it would be considered blackened folk. I'm posting this on my iPod, so I can't link to any videos, so go look it up!
  19. Well, in that case, I should have Straight White Male American Guilt. I'm so un-unique, I might as well kill myself.
  20. Why does every straight person who posts here say something along the lines of; "I'm straight, but I like gay people"? It's like everyone is apologizing for being straight.
  21. Found the purple series of blind bags at Wal-Mart today. I bought all that they had, and I got every single figure, sans Meadow Song and Lovestruck, with no duplicates. Quite extraordinary.
  22. Levi/Werstler. A side project of Daath/Chimaira guitarists Emil Werstler and Eyal Levi and Cynic drummer Sean Reinart. This album is the first metal album I ever bought.
  23. Be'lakor, rising melodeath band from Australia. Apparently, Little Red Riding Hood is metal now. m/
  24. What are some good djent bands? The only one I know of is Periphery, and while I do occasionally give the instrumental version of their first album a listen as background music while I do something, it's not at all something I listen to frequently. I'd like to hear some other bands to get an idea of what the sub-genre is like. I doubt that I'll like it, but I'm still curious.
