    Electrical circuits are finished. Spent the rest of the day smoothing out the main trail and was able to cross the creek with my 4-wheeler. I also blasted some coke bottles with the shotgun I had in the truck.  :kirin:

    Today was a wonderful day, but I am beyond exhausted.  :orly:

    I changed the oil in my 4-wheeler and forgot to put the drain plug back in. I kept wondering why the crankcase wouldn't fill up.  :muffins:

    Got a lot done at the property last weekend. Also spent some time riding my 4-wheeler thru the trails. It felt so good opening up the throttle!  :fluttershy:

    Can't wait to go back this weekend! Even tho I'll be doing some electrical work.  :coco:

    Hey everypony. I'm not gonna be as active on here, especially as the temps cool down. I have a lot of work to do on my new property, so that will take up a lot of my free time. Also want to spend more time outdoors.

      Don’t get me wrong, I have no issue with anyone who has a different belief from me even as a Christian, but the ones who get triggered because I have beliefs, I have one specific finger to show them.

      I can't get what's the big deal with what one has said (Drew Brees in this case). Personally I think there's nothing wrong what he said however. And if I would be Drew Brees and someone disagrees with me I'll be fine with that. You can't please everyone in this world. :huh:

      I've only rode a horse maybe once. One of my old neighbors use to let me ride with him on his wagon, which was pulled by two horses.

    Day 1 with a flip phone went pretty well. No real urge to check notifications or scroll on a screen. Man, I forgot how long the battery lasts on these things. Still fully charged after a whole day :fluttershy:

      @Lucky Bolt, Go for it. When I was at my property without cell service, I didn't even miss it. My mind felt so clear without the digital noise from app notifications and such.  :fluttershy:

      I've been using a regular phone for year and half now after several year usage of smartphone. It's been, surprisingly, pretty fine and easy though I might change back to smartphone some time in the future.

    A couple pics of Saturday's sunrise at the new property. Third pic shows the low light dome towards the southeast horizon. It's pretty low, about 10 -15°. I plan to check it with an inclinometer next time. 

    Twilight and I look forward to doing some long exposure astrophotography here.  :ticking:

    The night sky at my new property was amazing! This was my first time to ever see the Milky Way stretch across the sky from horizon to horizon. Seeing it thru the top of my tent was surreal!

    I woke up about an hour and a half before sunrise (Saturday) and noticed a huge white band toward the eastern horizon. This band stretched all the way to the zenith. It took a few minutes for me to realize it was the Zodiacal Light. Jaw dropping!  :awed:

    I only have a couple pics of the MW and they're kinda noisy. I only had a basic tripod with me, so exposure times had to be kept short and ISO settings high. Next time I will bring my tracking mount. I can't wait to go back and eventually live there!

      @J.T., nope but the utilities (power, water, septic) are still there.

      My plan is to have something built so I can move there. In the mean time, I will have to drive from home and either setup a tent or borrow the family RV. :)

    Today was an awesome day! Just closed on the rural property I purchased. :ticking:

    I will be spending Labor Day weekend there with some astronomy gear and my Twilight plush. There's no cell phone service or internet, so I will see you ponies sometime next week.  :fluttershy:

      so you managed to get it this time ?:love: sounds like a great place for the telescope, or even just stargazing with the naked eye, i used to live in the mountains, where there was next to no light polution, it's priceless

      @J.T., Yep. I hope the Hughes Amendment is struck down by the courts someday. No way in hell a blanket ban on post '86 machine guns is constitutional.
