  1. "Ooh, good idea! Come on, Samurai!" Moonlight stands next to Dusk and smiles to the nearest camera.
  2. Moonlight wakes up as he hears Dynamo's voice through the microphone. "Oops, I must've dozed off, hehe." He hops off the bench and makes his way to the stage, standing behind Dusk Haven and Samurai. Third place is enough for somepony who doesn't like to be in the center of attention. "Congrats, Dusk and Samurai. I love a good competition. Hope to see you two again this spring for The Hanging of the Leaves." Wink.
  3. My favorite multiplayer gaming memory is pretty fresh. It was my first time playing Deep Rock Galactic with someone I know. There was that moment when I jumped down the drillevator shaft, stopping myself with hover boots, and then was waiting for her to jump on me to negate fall damage. I think she didn't know about that mechanic, and was waiting for me to place platforms for her to reduce fall damage. But she ended up jumping, and I caught her. I think we completed that mission with 0 deaths.
  4. I think animators started including more violent scenes to avoid having their videos marked as For Kids. Youtube's fault, not theirs. Also, moving your thread to Sugarcube Corner.
  5. "Haha, thanks Dusk! Yours was also a pleasure to witness." Just then Moonlight realises how tired he is. He makes his way to the benches, where other tired runners come to sit and rest. "Phew. That was a good run. Everypony did a great job! Can't wait to hear who knocked down the most leaves."
  6. While the photographers are busy photographing Dusk Haven's stunning display, Moonlight notices fireworks hidden in a barrel behind the podium. "I hope I can borrow some." He carefully chooses a couple that would give the best effect, and approaches the finish line, just as Dusk finishes her show. He gives photographers some time to aim at him, before standing on his hind legs and opening his arms and wings. The fireworks drop on the ground and activate, flying and exploding around Moonlight as he holds the pose long enough to let them get some good shots.
  7. Moonlight looks down at Priscilla and hangs down from a branch with his tail. "I can knock down more leaves this way." He then proceeds to swing on his tail, shaking the tree.
  8. Moonlight chooses the tree with most leaves still attached, and climbs on top, where he shakes it until there are almost no leaves left. He then glides onto the next tree and repeats. He hopes he can be more effective by focusing on one tree at a time.
  9. Don't worry, I also sometimes write quickly, just to post before the scene is over. Or even worse, when I don't roleplay, there's no time limit, and I still want to send something before I have to get back to work. I think that taking advantage of being an alicorn to intimidate someone into giving you the cannon would be a great move, and I'm curious what would've happened if you had used your original idea. I'm fine with scenes where my OC is clearly in trouble. (Or where he thinks he is. ) That obstacle in particular was not very popular anyway. (Not sure if it was because of the location, or because it was about competition instead of cooperation. Maybe both.) If anything, I think you helped to move things forward.
  10. Tired. Trying to survive night shifts.
  11. Moonlight falls, releasing the cannon, that Roswell quickly snatches away. Moonlight tries to remember if he hasn't accidentally put Shiny under some kind of mind control spell. "Thanks Shiny! I also have no idea why you're doing this. I think this was supposed to be a free-for-all! But I totally owe you a pizza for that." "How convenient!" Moonlight thinks as he slides away from under Roswell and stands up. Moonlight leans towards Samurai's ear, so that only he can hear. "Samurai, I'm glad you always try to do what's right, but when colts fight with wooden swords, it doesn't mean that they want to hurt each other." Moonlight sighs with disappointment. "This part had so much potential." He thinks to himself as he makes his way and picks up the cannon. It would be foolish to leave it now.
  12. "Oh, look who showed up!" Moonlight says as he starts running away from Roswell. "You don't have much time. Do you think you can take it from me?"
  13. "That's a relief. I really thought I went too far, heh." Moonlight ponders whether he should say that it wasn't for Pinkie's honor, but for extra points and extra fun. In the end, he decides to not comment on that, and just smiles sheepishly. "Hehe, I'll keep that in mind." Moonlight climbs onto the ice, and shakes mud off his legs, careful to not splatter it on Dusk. The ponies who chased him seem less eager to take away the cannon, seeing an alicorn next to it, but they gladly make use of the freshly created solid ground.
  14. Moonlight posture relaxes, and he sighs in relief as he realizes he's not in danger. "Thank you Dusk. I owe you. Let's go somewhere more dry. I still need to wait for Pinkie to descend." He looks up at the slowly lowering balloon, and rises the cannon towards it. "Here, Pinkie! Take it before somepony else does!"
  15. Moonlight is stumped at the absolute lack of reaction. "I've made a mistake. A huge mistake." He thinks as he continues running for a moment, until Dusk's tone forces him to stop, turn around, and listen carefully. "I'm sorry, Dusk Haven. I don't know what I was thinking." He lowers his head and starts walking back, to keep distance from the intimidating alicorn, his tail tucked between his legs, and his ears flat against his head.
  16. Moonlight waves back at Samurai, and wonders whether his friend doesn't understand the situation, or just wants specifically Moonlight to get extra points for some reason. "Could you take care of these little guys? I can't promise things won't get messy soon." He waits for Socrate to take Moushley and fly away, before turning back to @Dusk Haven. Moonlight smiles mischievously. "Well, who am I to deny a powerful alicorn her prize? You can have it." He moves the cannon towards her. However, when she gets closer, and reaches her hoof or starts enveloping it in her magic, he points it at her and shoots muddy blast point blank, knocking her back! The mud is soft and safe enough that it shouldn't hurt even a filly, but it should buy Moonlight a couple seconds. "-if you can take it from me!" Moonlight doesn't wait to see is Dusk fell or managed to stay on her hooves. He just darts away. He knows he won't get too far, and prepares himself mentally for whatever happens next.
  17. I trust her. She's a post pony. She knows a lot about letters.
  18. Moonlight and his pursuers look confused at the sudden appearance of a forcefield. "Hey, what is it?" "That's cheating!" The ponies start shouting with indignation. Some of them noticed Shiny's shining horn, and started going towards her. It takes Moonlight a moment to realize what's happening. "Umm, Shiny? I appreciate the thought, but that most definitely counts as cheating. I'm not in any danger, and it's not like any of them can actually take the cannon away from me." "Hey!" Background pony number 324 protests, but gets promptly ignored. "You can lower the shield. No need to make it easier than it already is." Having said that, Moonlight wants to pass through the bubble, assuming it is possible from the inside, when suddenly... Moonlight happily plays along. "Aha! Dusk Haven! Finally a real challenge!" He stands on his back hooves, and points at @Dusk Haven, accidentally splashing some mud at her. "Oops. Sorry for that. Nice cannon indeed. Maybe Pinkie lets you borrow it after I give it to her." He says, hiding it behind his back.
  19. Moonlight makes his way through the mud, getting tired quickly from having to pull his legs out with every step. He briefly makes eye contact with @Dusk Haven, but doesn't notice her mischievous smile, as at that moment a ball of mud hits him in the flank. "Hey! Who did that?!" He turns around to fire mud projectiles blindly at ponies behind him, before moving on.
  20. @Samurai Equine I think you have to take the cannon away from the previous participant for it to count.
  21. "Huh? Hi, who are you?" Moonlight waves back at the mouse and looks up, to where she fell from. "Did you fall from the balloon? Better stay close, otherwise somepony can step on you." He stretches his wing down, so Moushley can climb onto his back. The ponies around are closing in. One of them tries to pounce on Moonlight, trying to take the cannon. Splat! Moonlight instinctively pulls the trigger, and blasts the pony with mud that found its way into the cannon when it fell. The pony lands further away, with cartoon stars circling around his head, his fall cushioned by the bog. More importantly, it creates a gap in the wall of ponies. "This way! Hold onto something!" Moonlight takes the cannon in his wings and rushes through the gap. "Ah! Dang it!" His forehooves plunge into mud, and he remembers that he took off his rain boots when pulling the cannon out of the mud. "No time to retrieve them now." Moonlight thinks as he continues running.
  22. Moonlight looks up just as the cannon falls relatively close to him, and he immediately makes his way towards it. He has to take boots off his forelegs to grab it and yank it out of the mud, almost losing his balance in the process. "Got it!" He says, before noticing ponies around him slowly approaching, some holding mud balls, or preparing to pounce, ready to take his treasure away, to score some points for themselves. "Back off!" He says, aiming the empty cupcake cannon at them. "I won't go down without a fight!"

  24. @benjirec Moving your thread to Sugarcube Corner. Btw, the first thing I thought of when I saw the title
  25. Still confused about his recent encounter, Moonlight doesn't notice the bog until his boots sink into the mud. He quickly pulls them out and takes a look around. Going around is not an option - the path is way too long, and leaves in the next next section would've been long gone before he would reach them. He takes a minute to look where other ponies go, and carefully follows those who don't sink too much. So far, it isn't that deep, and he has a faint hope that he can reach the other side with a clean coat.
