I used Character AI recently (for shitposting type purposes, I assure you) and came to two conclusions: 1. AI just isn't interactable enough to be a proper conversation partner. The AI is never directly leading the conversation and just does whatever the human wants. It won't organically bring up topics, it doesn't do anything without some form of input from the human which makes it very boring (to me) after only a few messages. 2. That being said the AI is able to send you messages if you don't chat with it for a while, but they're very simple ("Let's keep chatting!" type messages) and are basically bait for you to come and continue using the site/app. Despite the simple nature I still found that a bit creepy because it is manipulative, and it does humanize the AI too much, acting as if it can become lonely because you aren't talking to it. I do think you can turn this feature off but still, it was on by default for me as a new user. Now the talk about AI having human right rights and all that is a completely separate topic to me, and hopefully a topic we as a society will never have to focus on. AI should never even come close to imitating the human mind, or even an animal mind. No self-awareness, no emotions, it's just asking for trouble, we've known that since at least the 60s (I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream).

Whole situation is tragic, and could’ve been prevented if people had just been kinder… The internet and sites like Reddit have really just made it far too easy for users to anonymously harass others like they did Mikayla. I follow two rescues (Tiny Tim’s Tiny Foster Family and Rags to Riches Animal Rescue) that have both dealt with situations similar to what Mikayla dealt with, where the owner of the rescue is constantly being harassed by specific people in the rescue community for no good reason other than what seems like jealousy. That’s alongside the usual ridicule from the general public that every rescue, no matter the species or animal, seems to get. I’ve seen comments on bat rescue videos saying things along the lines of “there’s millions of starving people on earth and you choose to waste time and money rescuing bats instead?”. You have to have a heart full of hate, and a dull, dull life to go around harassing people trying to help and rescue animals. RIP Mikayla.

Ralsei from Deltarune, which probably goes without saying for anyone who’s played the games. Solaire from Dark Souls. His whole thing is trying to find his own Sun (Celestia, anyone? ) and encouraging friendship, he’d fit right in. The onion knights would probably be a good fit as well also from Dark Souls. Wigglytuff from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers. He’s always given me big Pinkie Pie vibes, and not just because he’s pink, they’re similar in personality. Would fit right in as well.

Have I told this story before? Probably. Anyway, when I was about 10 or so I broke my red DS Lite, snapped the hinge clean off somehow when opening it. Instead of telling my parents that I broke it, I instead pinned it on one of the neighborhood kids because I didn't wanna get in trouble. "I gave it to [[Hyperlink Blocked]] because he wanted to play with it and when I got it back it was broken like that" is probably along the lines of what I said. I had two friends who also covered for me and backed up my story despite not asking them too, that was pretty cool of them. The neighborhood kid didn't end up getting in any trouble because my parents never brought it up with his parents and I didn't get in trouble either so I guess it worked out well enough for everyone in the end.

Probably indie folk or indie rock. Leaning more towards indie folk, I'm not sure I'd have the vocal ability to do rock music really. What's your favorite cereal?

Florida, unfortunately for them. I think almost everyone in the state of Ohio has relatives who live in Florida, so many people move there when they retire because it's warm.
