Yes, yes and yes. I love both. So much, in fact, that I'm currently writing my dissertation about it. I also have the entire series of TLA on DVD, as well as the art book. Anyway, over all, I prefer TLA to Korra. However, if we're doing a season by season comparison, then in my opinion Season 1 of Korra (currently the only season) is far better then season 1 of TLA... but that's just me.To be honest, I found season 1 of TLA a bit of a hit and miss. Season 2 and 3 blew me away, it had some of the best character development I've ever seen in a cartoon series. Now, let's never talk about the live action film.

Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide - Which are you best at?
Hansel replied to Thundershock's topic in General Discussion
Heheh, what a silly question... I can't math. But no, seriously, I'm awful at mathematics. It was always my weakest subject is school, I left with an E... Mind you, I was predicted a G, so I showed THEM! Oddly enough, I was fine with using teh maffs in Physics class... which was one of my strongest subjects. -
Personally, I would say no. I was really excited about this game and waited through Celestia knows how many delays. When it was finally released and I got my hands on it, I was extremely disappointed. It had a nice kind of novelty which lasted about a week. I actually recently spoke to some friends about it, and they all felt the same. But hey, you might enjoy it, opinions vary.

9/10 Rammstein. -_- And whilst we're in Industrial Metal land, have some Deathstars.

How long does it take you to fall asleep?
Hansel replied to Miss Light Diamond's topic in General Discussion
On good nights, only about an hour and a half. But it can take me up to three hours, sometimes even more. I also tend to wake up in the middle of the night and I get regular sleep paralysis, which doesn't help. I envy people who can fall asleep quickly and wake up after 10 hours. -
This isn't really my "area" of electronic music, so my knowledge is more limited in comparison to other areas. But, I agree, Skrillex's sound is more reminiscent of Electro/Electro House. But what they hey, stick a few wubs in your song these days and everyone calls it Dubstep.
-
I haven't listened to anything by Skrillex I would really consider Dubstep, but maybe I just haven't heard enough. Though, I do hear his new album is a lot different to his other stuff.
-
I'm not much of a Dubstep fan to be honest, but... since were either of these guys Dubstep? e_e Anyway, I haven't really found anything by Deadmau5 that I like much, but there's a few pieces by Skrillex I don't mind. I could totally bob my head to Rock 'n' Roll. I do respect Deadmau5 as an artist, though. He clearly has a lot of talent.

You sir, have a fine taste in Metal. I'm even going to try and over-look Deftones because of it. It will be a challenge... but I'm sure I'll manage.

I'm not sure if I understand this question. Are we talking about contemporary Western arbitrary social norms? In which case, I have several "feminine" thingymajigs. I grow and paint my nails, I wear makeup (mostly eye liner/eye shadow, but I'm partial to all sorts), I wear "girls" clothes, I have long hair which I dye, I shave my legs, I dislike most sports, I keep a diary, I like clothes and shopping for clothes, I like cutsie things, and I takes ages to get ready before I go out. But no, I'm not camp.

I'm a terrible person because I've only seen 5 Ghibli films. For me, it's a tie between Spirited Away and Grave of the Fireflies. I can't choose between the two. I voted Grave of the Fireflies because no one else has and I'm controversial like that. The other three films that I've seen are Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, and Ponyo.

And if the song isn't at least 9 minutes long, well then... it's just not kvlt. Though I'll admit, these guys are great. They were also good when I saw the perform with Alcest last year. And now for some Fen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5BpEMKGPSQ

Well, I study animation, so... animating is biggie for me, along with visual art in general, specifically character design and illustration. I enjoy Storyboarding too, though it can get tedious and a bit boring after a while. I also love story development, narrative and writing. My other little passion is music. I listen to music almost constantly, whether it's Metal, Electronic, Classical, Rock, Dark Wave, Folk, Shoegaze, or any other genre I like. I never leave my house without my Walkman. I also really enjoy writing and recording music, though it's hard for me to find the time to do this. I really like reading, I love cartoons, and I enjoy film (both animated and live-action).

mega thread What is your sexuality ?
Hansel replied to DashingRainbow36's topic in General Discussion
This is similar to how I feel. I think that partly the reason why people view sexuality as something that's so complicated is because we've broken it up into so many labels. I don't believe it's really meant to be arbitrarily broken up like this, it's a fluid thing can shift and change. I've spoken to a lot of people who are confused about their sexuality and feel that they don't know what they are, yet they're able to describe their feelings perfectly. The only issue is, a label for their feelings doesn't exists, so they reject how they feel and find one that's "close enough for now", or continue to claim that they're "confused". You don't have to wait for someone to invent a label for your feelings to be okay, and if your feelings don't stay consistent one-hundred percent of the time, it doesn't mean you're "confused". -
AAAARRRGGGGGHHHH!!!! Balnasar! Leviathan! Xasthur! Thy Light! Coldworld! *slaps corpse paint on* EEAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!! I also prefer Torn Beyond Reason, actually. And whilst we're here, I'm gonna post some Blackgaze/Black Metal Shoegaze/Post-Black Metal/whateverthefuckidon'tknowbutitsoundsawesome, because it's along the same lines... well, not really, but everyone lumps it together for some reason. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppmVvQk-eik http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnIpYNiSRjs

10 Questions for Members who are 20 and under(or older)
Hansel replied to Wingnut's topic in General Discussion
I'm 20, so I still count. 1. Yes, But I've never used one to actually call someone. 2. Yes. I started using the Internet when i was about 13/14. No particular reason, though. We just didn't have it in the house for a long time. 3. A bombing of an Israeli town. 4. Nope. 5. This is kind of hard for me to answer, I haven't read a History text book in about 7 years, and i think it was about the Great War. It's really hard for me to remember how I felt. Of course, I've read lots of stuff since, just not in text books. I guess I feel differently depending on what the situation is. Sometimes it's sadness, sometimes anger, other times however, I don't really feel anything. 6. No. 7. Yeah, I never really used them myself, but I remember seeing them around a lot. 8. I'm not sure if I ever have, to be honest. 9. The Moomins, I think. 10. I hardly ever watched 80's cartoons, to be honest. I grew up with the 90's cartoons, but I did watch a lot of old Loonytoons, Tom & Jerry and stuff from before the 80's. -

6.5/10 I'm... not entirely sure what to make of that... and I'll give it credit just for that reason. I was definitely entranced. I just, wut? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcXaIByiJJ0

... Someone else who listens to Woods of Desolation? This is the happiest day of my life. I also listen Tim Yatrass' other projects quite extensively. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vYWszzu7Pc

A free book shop opened up down my road. Excuse me, I need to go and hire out a lorry.

7/10 Pretty catchy, amusing video, but got a tad boring about half way through.

Spyro was actually one of my favorite games, and still is. I haven't played any of the sequels, but I played the original game extensively when I was younger, and I reminisce about it a lot more then I probably should. I always thought the worlds and villains were incredibly imaginative, and the gameplay was really addictive.
