  1. How does one not have an accent? I'm pretty sure everyone has an accent one way or another. Also, the specificness of each accent varies quite a bit. Either way, I voted British.
  2. I honestly can't decide on who my favorite pony is. If we're narrowing it down to the main six and I was forced to choose, then I'd probably say Fluttershy, but I don't think I'm much like her. The only thing I really have in common with her is that I get nervous or anxious about social situations (even though I do enjoy the company of others). I also tend to avoid issues that involve other people, as opposed to confront them. I'd say my second favorite is probably Twilight, and I think I can relate to her the most out of the main six. I can be a bit of a hermit and I spend a lot of my time on my studies. (The first episode where she rejects the party invitation? I feel you bro) I'm also a pretty big skeptic and value scientific evidence. (Ironically, I'm also a bit a of Pinkie Pie when it comes to food, laughter and when I feel more comfortable in social situations. ) My favorite princess is Luna, but I don't think I'm serious enough to be much like her. And as much as I love the night, I usually find it hard to stay up past 3am. My favorite background ponies are Vinyl Scratch, Octavia and Colgate, but it's a little harder to pinpoint similarities as very little of their personalities come from the show itself. I wub Electronic music and I love Classical as well. Colgate is just adorbz.
  3. I... what? I... I don't quite know how respond to this. Not because it's asking me if I would eat a pony, but just because of how the question is put. I mean, eating Fluttershy would be traumatic enough, but the fact that it's specifically a burger... the fact that you even asked who i would eat... the choice of words... What?!
  4. Myself? Not particularly, no. They're freaking adorable though. I have absolutely no issue with people who do though, and I can sort of understand why, particularly with some of the fan art. A lot of people seem to take issue with it because they think it's zoophilia. If you do take issue with zoophilia, I think it's important to remember that cloppers aren't necessarily zoophiles. The designs of the ponies from FiM barely resemble real-life equines, and have a great deal of similarities to humans. Xenophilia? Perhaps, but not zoophilia. To be honest, I don't think it's all that different from being attracted towards mythical creatures from films and video games,
  5. The blood of the innocent. Nah, I don't usually drink anything in the mornings. Other times, I just drink water (unless I'm eating out) because I'm hardcore like that.
  6. I have a North London accent. I could be wrong, but I think that's the one most people associate with a typical "British" accent, At least it's the one people seem to try and put on the most when pretending to be British, only less... stereotypical? Am I the only person who finds a soft Brummy accent rather delightful? xD I have a bunch of Brummy friends, a couple of which have a soft accent, and It's amazing when they complain about stuff.
  7. I'm not really a shipping fanatic, but I'm pretty okay with them. However, Vinyl Scratch x Octavia is the most adorable thing on this planet and everyone else can quite frankly jog on.
  8. Make a snowman with Derpy. Derpy, wait... what r u doin? derpy wait not there STAHP. ... This will not end well...
  9. 8/10 So much cheese. So much... I do love this song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jr5lz52k37g I thought we needed a bit a Futurpop in this thread. :3
  10. I'm a little picky about punk, but there's a few Horror Punk and Post Punk bands I like. I also like a bit of Offspring, Flogging Molly, The Jam, Sum 41, and The Who (although The Who more Protopunk, but whatever. )
  11. , , and of course, I haven't really managed to find a great deal of music I like outside of Metal, unfortunately. and thank you, I'll definitely bear it mind. (I actually don't use any instant messengers like MSN or SKype anymore... I'm not sure why, but I don't even have them installed anymore. ._.) I actually prefer original Bamba to Red Bamba, but they sell it here anyway. Red Bamba is pretty awesome though, but my mum always brings it back with her anyway.
  12. Not my most flattering picture, but definitely my most badass.
  13. I want to learn German just because I want to understand all the German Industrial/EBM music I listen to. :I Also because I want to be able to compliment someone, and for them to run away in fear.
  14. I feel proud because was actually able to read and that and understand it perfectly. It took me nearly a minute and a half, but we'll ignore that. I'm a lot better at understanding the language then I am at speaking it. I think a lot of it has to do with pressure or nerves or something. Oh, I actually listen to quite a bit of Israeli music... Just not so much the pupular stuff. *hipster glasses* My mum's going to see some family there next week. She asked if I wanted her to bring me something back. I responded with "Halvah, grape juice, and chocolate milk". Now... if I can only convince her to bring back some Falafal... I think I'll be set... That's okay, most people feel the need to put onion in them for some explainable reason. <_<
  15. Technically, my first language is Hebrew, since I was born in Israel. I moved around a lot when I was younger, but I'm settled in England now and 3/4 of my family is English. Although English is my second language, I'm much more fluent in it now because I hardly ever use Hebrew, but use English all the time. (Although, my spelling isn't great...) My reading in Hebrew is pretty poor these days. I can still read, I'm just pretty slow and struggle a lot. I also find that I now stutter a lot and often forget words when I'm having a conversation in Hebrew, even if I know the words I'm trying to enunciate. On the plus side, I somehow have an English accent when speaking in English, and a a typical Israeli accent if I'm talking in Hebrew, so assimilating is easier. Languages I'd like to learn if I ever had the time and energy would be Gaulish, Norwegian, Finnish, German, and Japanese. Oh, it's easy to learn. Just add "oi vey" at the beginning of every sentence and your half way there. My mum uses Yiddish words sometimes... usually when complaining or insulting something. <_<
  16. I wear these. ... Oh? You mean in the in the house/ under my boots? ? I tend to wear two layers of socks because I seem to have fairly sensitive feet. ._. Everything they touch either tickles or hurts.
  17. I find Faiseurs De Mondes (and a lot of other songs by Alcest) to be epic in a euphoric kind of way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lE309orsgSA And now for some epic untz untz. We all need some epic untz untz music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ka_PY4Ssdo
  18. The first time I took the test thingy I got Fluttershy. Now I keep getting Twilight. Huzzah, my social skills have been doubled! Personally, I feel I'm probably a mixture of Twilight, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash depending on who I'm with or what I'm doing.
  19. Upgrading servers or using a more modern version of Flash (Even if they don't already have it) wouldn't really improve anything. For one, I still use the very ancient Macromedia Flash 8 at home, and when I work at my uni, I use the shiny new Adobe Flash CS5.5.2>12/373, I notice nothing different aside from the fact that you can now do rigging animation (which MLP doesn't use anyway and doesn't look half as pretty as symbol animation). There's also a new version of action scrip which is pretty much the same as the old one only more complicated to use, but that's for interactive stuff anyway. To be honest, the most dramatic difference between the two versions is the fact that the timeline/dope sheet has moved from the bottom of the screen to the top. Secondly, it's skill that makes good animation, not the latest version of Flash or upgraded servers. As for using different software like Toonboom or TV Paint or whatever else, it would most likely change the visual style of the show quite dramatically. Although, I suppose because it's symbol animation, all their models are made in Adobe Illustrator anyway, so it might not. Actually... I'm not even sure if you can use symbols in Toonboom to be honest... Huh... Lemmee go check. *opens up Toonboom* And no, I'm pretty sure they don't use Maya... apart from the Timberwolves.
  20. I've never had any issue with 3D animation, and I actually rather like it when 2D and 3D are combined (Tron: Uprising is a fantastic example of incorporating the two styles together in quite a beautiful way). The only issue I really have, is when 3D animation is used as a shortcut in a 2D animated show/film. A classic example of this is the ballroom scene from Disney's Beauty and the Beast. It always looks so painfully obvious, even when they really try to hide it with cell shading to make it look more 2D, and it just looks cheap. It kind of stands out and ruins the feel of the show for me, and I feel that using 3D animation as a shortcut doesn't really do the 3D art form much justice either. I have to admit, I did a double take at the Timberwolves. Although my first guess was "3D, what the Hell?", I did think for a second after that they might have been 2D, and the animators just put a lot of extra effort into the symbols used to animate the Timberwolves. They managed to incorporate it pretty well into the style of the show, and I guess the fact that they usually use symbols to animate the show made the job a bit easier. However, as always, it still stuck out. The reason I'm a little upset is because... was it REALLY necessary to use 3D? I'm usually more forgiving when 3D shortcuts are used in TV shows because of the tight scheduling usually involved, but this didn't really feel like it was necessary. The animators have managed up until now to create some fantastic animation with a lot of fairly complicated scenes, especially for a TV show, why did they choose to go 3D this time round? I may not have minded so much if it was just for the resurrection scenes but... why for everything else? When I look at the great animation for the rest of the show, It makes this feel... well, lazy... to be honest.
  21. Sorry guys... I watch My little pony... For the PLOT. But if we're talking about pretty ponies, then I'd have to say Luna, Fluttershy, Vinyl Scratch, Octavia and Twilight the most for now. To be fair though, most of them are pretty. It's just a fact of life. EDIT: link. Y U NO TURN INTO VIDEO?!
  22. Seriously can't choose. Pretty much every album aside from The Final Frontier has songs I love. I have a massive Somewhere Back in Time poser on my wall though.
  23. I study 2D animation, but I had a few modules in my first year of uni involving 3D modeling/animation and we primarily used Maya for everything. Pretty much everyone on the 3D course I was working with said the exact same thing you're saying, they all learnt Max and all seemed to prefer it to Maya. I had never touched 3D software before this point, but when I opened up Maya for the first time... I was terrified. So many options... so many...
  24. I'd highly recommend learning Autodesk Maya if you're interested in VFX, or any kind of 3D animation. It's pretty much the primary tool in the industry, but it's also a lot more complicated. Most companies I know seem to use it. I also recommend Mudbox, it's kind of like Zbrush, but a lot of 3D people I know seem to use it more then latter for whatever reason. As for me, I guess the main programs I use are Flash, After Effects, and Photoshop, mostly for my uni course, but also quite a bit for personal stuff. I use other programs like Fireworks and Illustrator sometimes, but I'm not too knowledgeable with Illustrator. When I get a break from work and get a chance to play about with music (usually during the summer breaks), I use Audacity for recording and FL Studio for electronic stuff. If I ever get to a stage where I have enough free time to take my music more seriously, whilst still primarily focusing on my art and animation, I would be incredibly happy. I really want to learn Toon Boom Animate Pro, I've had the software sitting on my desktop for months now, but haven't had the chance to play about with it much.
  25. - D'aw. - Give her my fez. - Hug. - Cry when she leaves because there's no Dubstep in my CD collection. - Grab on to her hoof and say that I have lots of other kinds of Electronic music. - Cruel back into bed a die when she doesn't care. ;___; I just wanted a friend.
