Brohoof because djenty music is best pony. I have an idea. I saw a meme today, saying "Not sure if Binary code or Djent guitar tabs." Those of you who play guitar here should try and write a djent song using only 0, 1, 10 and 11. Any tuning you want though. This could spawn some interesting songs. Let's give it a two week deadline. What say you djentlemen?

Random addiction to this song:

I haven't listened to a lot of Soil and often get them confused with Soilwork because of the name. A sign I haven't listened to either nearly enough, eh? What's funny is I love any Soilwork that I hear anyway...

Because the internet is a wonderful place.

I was very pleasantly surprised to find that Riot (i.e. makers of League of Legends) has a metal band based on LoL, and it is not terrible.

If this has already been posted, I am not sorry because I can't be assed to read the whole thread :P

Amon Amarth is a band I really need to listen to more. I've loved every single one of their songs I've heard so far, though most of those songs seem to come from the same couple of albums. I don't think that will be much of a problem though.

Just another one of those bands that'll take me a good while to get into. It's initially very hard for me to look past the vocal style =\ That's how it was with Death and Exodus. Speaking of which....lemme post some Exodus. :3

Also, hard to go wrong with good Dream Theater.

The best part isn't even the vocals. It's the melodic guitars.

This isn't directed specifically at you but I hate when people disregard good songs because of growling vocals. They miss the best parts of it, which is usually the guitars or drums in Melodic Death's case, and fail to appreciate them because of one part of the song they don't like as much.

I understand. I didn't mean to come off like I was disregarding it due to the vocals. I just said it's initially difficult to look past them...err....rather HEAR past them. I venture into new music in a very odd way. I find the best way to do it is just play the music in the background while doing something else. That way, I'm not tempted to just skip to the next song.
