Did Tirek take the essence of the fillies or just the adults?

One thing I am curious about: When Tirek was going all around Equestria stealing the essence of all the Ponies was it just the adults or did he take the essence of the fillies too? It only showed him taking from the adults but I am sure it would've been considered inappropriate to see him take the fillies as well.

Most likely took the fillies essence also,i don't see why not and i don't think Tirek would care that they were fillies anyways,he was too concerned with his desire to consume and gain more power.

I would assume that he probably did. It's still an energy source. Less powerful than the adults, possibly, but an energy source nonetheless. And, you know, 'cause he's evil. That could be further motivation.

Well Tirek is an extremely malicious character, so it depends on how much Magic was actually to be found in fillies, if they had the necessary Magic he would take it, if not he would sap the adults and leave them without caring.

"Q'sal, a singular, labyrinthine mind composed of a billion conflicting, paradoxical wills. Have you ever seen the swirling Aetherstorms in it's atmosphere? Smelled the shifting perfumes of intrigue upon it's people? Tasted the gluttonous banquets of ambition permeating from the Sorcerer-Technocrats? Heard the exquisite lies and thoughts of an unknowable population? No Slaaneshi pleasure I have indulged in comes close to that feeling, only in the embrace of Apotheosis could one aspire to find anything greater."

I could see him taking the magical power of fillies provided they had matured enough to have cutie marks. As most (besides the mane 6) lost their cutie mark after Tirek had drained them. So if they had reached a age were they had unlocked their full magical potential, then he would consume it.

And they would never show that in show, because it involves him attacking children in some form.

Tirek likely didn't at first because his goal was to quickly gather the strength to take on the Princesses, and going after magic that hadn't matured yet may have been inefficient, and allowed his enemies additional time to prepare.

Though he likely would have gone after them at some point; it's just that this little Purple Horse kinda got in the way.

In the finale, Tirek was depicted as an evil and corrupt individual who had no regard for the life and well-being of anyone other than himself. He only cared about stealing as much power as he possibly could.

Therefore, I think it's safe to infer that he did indeed steal the essence of fillies, but that was probably not directly depicted since it might be too upsetting for a general audience.

Despite all his many personality flaws, Tirek does have a few redeeming features. Despite his burning hatred for his father and brother and seeming indifference toward his mother, he was shown to genuinely love his grandmother or "Gram gram" as he called her. He also showed a more sympathetic side to him when he caught a bird in his hand and let it fly away unharmed after it was blown away by the Canterlot castle's air defenses. He even came close to reforming in "Frenemies" before Chrysalis snapped him and Cozy Glow out of it.

so I guess Tirek doesn't only care about himself  even evils has standard so maybe Tirek sympathetic side made him not steal the magic from the filles and colt.

so the cutie mark crusader's and all of  the other filly and colt doesn't get their magic stolen so maybe Tirek does has a heart

I'm pretty sure a guy like Tirek shows no mercy to anyone.

On a side note, realising that Twilight's Kingdom aired seven years ago makes me feel very old :worry:

Friendship isn't always easy. But it's definitely worth fighting for.

I agree. Tirek doesn't seem the guy to show mercy or willingly to leave anything in the hand hooves of ponies. But the show would never show something like this.
