Someone comes to you and ask you "Why MLP is so famous? Wich is the diference from the old generations?", you tell them all about why MLP is so cool......and then they ask you to show them an episode.

Wich episode would you show them/they/him/her/etc.....

If I have to chose an episode to show to my mother about why I love so much MLP. I would choose Testing, Testing, 123. Because it teach you that everybody is diferent and have diferen ways to learn. Maybe your mother can give you some tips...but at the end you will find YOUR way to learn- Also, show that is not so s7up¡d like "Ohhh nooo! Rainbow dash doesn't know how to learn? WHAT SHOULD WE DOOOO?", Like Dora the explorer when she have a huge pink mountain next to her and she ask "Were is the huge pink mountain?". Insted in mlp they say "What should we do? -I . DONT. KNOW" and at the end the find a solution- You know what I'm talking about.

I would choose "Wonderbolt Academy" due to the fact that it shows that pushing yourself as far as being reckless, just to impress someone, isn't right. You must push yourself because YOU want to be better. Rainbow Dash pushed herself because she wanted the dream, she wanted to be a Wonderbolt and did everything for her friends. Spitfire was in the wrong mindset, as she was looking for a pony who demostrated only physical traits (Lightning Dust). But it had to be more than that. It had to be physical, moral and mental.

IMO, you really can't just show them one episode as that severely limits the scope of the show.

I mean, if you HAD to show only one, then I would Recommend "Lesson Zero," but again it's a bit limiting.

This Day Aria takes the cake for me. The music, the villains, just everything about that episode~

Or maybe Twilight's Kingdom would fit the bill too... XD

I would go for Lesson Zero :)

That episode was creepy as hell. I mean, just look at the screenshot posted above.

The way Twilight reacts in this episode makes it completely different to previous generation ponies.

Definitely "Pinkie Pride" for me. It had much of what the show is known for: great musical numbers, fun comedy, and character development. The added draw comes from Weird Al as the guest star. That the show was popular enough to land on a resume such as his is an amazing accomplishment (as it is for de Lancie's).

Impossible to choose only one!

I'd choose Pinkie Pride, Lesson Zero, Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3, Sonic Rainboom... These ones aren't girly at all.

"It's about Time", is likely one of the most well written episodes, has a number of very funny moments as well, and let's not forget we have not only an appearance by Cerberus, but also Metal Gear Twilight:

I know there's a place you walked
Where love falls from the trees
My heart is like a broken cup
I only feel right on my knees.
I spit out like a sewer hole
Yet still receive your kiss
How can I measure up to anyone now
After such a love as this?

Personally,I would choose to show the episode Flight to the Finish.

That episode is a perfect example of the heart and effort that goes into almost every single episode of the entire series as well as the staff are talented enough to pull off subjects like disabilities with tact and grace.

So Flight to the Finish would show that FIM strives to excel and won't just stop at being "just good enough" as well as having well written characters and take the audience seriously.

To show why the show is so famous I would choose the pilot episode. It may not be the most exciting episode to hook a person into becoming a fan, but it is still the best example of what made the show able to span the demographic dynamic. As the pilot introduces the characters, theme, and setting, you can already see how different from any other kids show FIM was destined to be. It can have interesting, three dimensional characters and tackle more complex moral issues while remaining true to its kids show roots. I think the pilot is a prime example of this.

Goodness, I don't know, really! There's so many episodes I'd like to show someone who wants to know why MLP is so famous and awesome. I have three in mind: Dragonshy, Party of One, and A Canterlot Wedding parts 1/2. All three episodes are top notch for me, so I'd love to show them one or all three to someone curious about the show in general.

The Ticket Master. Great episode from when the show still had its "happy-go-lucky" feel, and wasn't influenced by or even aware of the fandom.

Sig made by Kyoshi.

Cool things people have said about me:

Never heard of him but I guess just you mentioning him is a good reason not to go anywhere near that name.

(In reference to an author I suggested.)

If I had to pick one episode to show someone that MLP: FIM isn’t just a standard kid’s show, I’d go with The Perfect Pear. However, there are many other episodes that are good choices as well.

The Mane Attraction, hooves down.  It's the perfect one-time episode showcase for a newcomer.  It's easily one of the best episodes in the series, (#2 on my list) it's got a great message and one of the best songs in the franchise, but most importantly for this context, it's standalone; it's not part of an arc, it doesn't require any knowledge of the characters or the world to enjoy, and it doesn't really build on anything that came before.  It's got a little incidental magic, but nothing that would be confusing for someone who has no idea how this world works.  You don't want to show a newcomer something that builds a lot on previously established backstories or features tons of heavy magic, or continues important arcs.  Like, y'know, something like Shadow Play would be the worst possible choice, despite being one of the best episodes.  Mane Attraction, all the way.
