hey everypony!  yeah, I'm back.  sorry for not updating this thread, by gaming PC died on me a few months ago, and my other computer kept freezing when trying to run STO.  but christmas came along with a new alienware 13, so I'm back in business!  The fleet should still be active in game (i have a lifetime membership), and we can try this again!

Please let me know what evenings work for you so we can arrange a weekly gaming session!  As always, anyone is welcome to join!

I'll try looking for you ingame, but I really was just wondering something.

Do you guys RP? How active are you? How many members besides the ones listed on the first page of the thread? Cause as I said, I'm in a multi-fleet alliance and we're always looking for more fleets who RP. Also we teach those willing to learn, so there's also that if you have a willingness to learn.

Even if you aren't a RP fleet I'd still like to play around with you guys.

Sorry for delayed reply!

honestly, not much activity at the moment.  been difficult arranging a time each week when everyone can get online.  As for RP's, nope.  though personally, i've been interested in trying it.

Oh, and the list on the front page isn't updated.  my bad.  :derp:

Man, I have not checked out this thread in a long while.

Hey, @bronislav84!

I do a little bit of RP on occasion. I won't be joining the fleet, but could you tell me a little more about what you do? Right now, I'm just going by what I know. I don't know if there are any rules specific to STO roleplaying, but it can't be much different than roleplaying on here, just in real time.

Alright everypony, i'm going to try a little experiment.  For now, I'm going to set friday evenings, starting at 8pm Eastern Time, as game time.  You will be able to find me hanging out upstairs on Earth Spacedock (take the turbolift to the upper level).  I'll log in then, and wait and see who else comes online.  Going forward, if we need to change the date, we can.  but i want to try this for now.

Neat

I didn't realize that we had players here, though it looks like it has been a while.

I've been playing for a while, but never looked for it on here.

My main is Julian@dexterouswings if you want to shoot me a line

I had an idea for a fun game that will take less and less time the more people we have,

One person hides somewhere in the galaxy, but it must be a map that everyone can access and it must be in a non-combat zone. The safe area on kobali prime where you beam in would be fine, but you can't hide in a combat zone. You can be on the ground or in space. If we have a lot of new players, we can restrict the zone down to a quadrant.

Everyone starts in the Drozana system to the north (so we can get a headcount and you can get a visual on the ship you're hunting, then we head to Drozana inside for visual on the ground) and the hider runs and has 7 minutes to get to his spot. 10 if it is a fairly new player. This way, you don't see the blip running off on the map. Once that 7 minutes is up, the hider must stay in his spot and the rest can coordinate a search team.

It would require a bit of Skype coordination though.

If you cheat, you're an honorless petaQ

I don't know much about whether we'd need to align to get on the same server or not, but it is an idea.

I like this idea, but depending on how many people we have, we might need to limit it to a certain amount of sectors/sector blocks. Also there is a way to find out where friends are anywhere in the galaxy; hopefully we can rely on the honor system.

Yeah, we can constrain parameters to adjust for numbers, but we should also take into account the number of places that allow for hiding in them since most systems you can't enter.

Yeah, but hopefully we can adopt some Klingon traits for this one.

Also, I realized something today, there's only one chair you can sit in on all of DS9. The chair in Sisko's old office. I was going to just hang out in quarks but I realized there was nowhere to sit. It was a bit amusing looking around. I was going to just sit and pretend to be an NPC for amusement, but I ended up amusing myself otherwise.
