Thuja 3,659 November 17, 2019 Share November 17, 2019 Well, I know it's not that big of a mile-stone as getting married or anything but I'd like to knit a blanket for my sofa before I turn 30... Since I turn 29 next year, I think I'm going to make it my project of the year to knit a HUGE blanket for myself and maybe a smaller one for one of my cat's places that she likes to take a nap in when I don't have her favourite blanket out for the winter on the bed. I was thinking a soft, purple one for her and a big red one for me. Just need to get some proper knitting needles so I can make as many stitches as I need to for it(was thinking about doing 200-300 stitches for this big project), my project this year is a few scarves, working on my last one for the year for now. For anyone who's interested in how I go with that, should I start posting blog posts or something on here to keep those interested in my progress up-to-date? Another goal of mine before I turn 30 is to start really sewing again, my poor machine is just collecting dust and I'm not even using him these days. I'd ultimately like to get into Bespoke Menswear and try making some interesting pieces, mostly for trans men or maybe non-binary folks who just want a good suit or something. I know I'm not at that level yet but starting out small and making my own clothing at least would be awesome!!! I'm kinda sick of wearing blue jeans and t-shirts all the time, I've been dressing this way for as long as I can remember and I'm sick of it. The fact that I've lived this far is an accomplishment in-and-of-itself, I was very suicidal when I was younger and never thought I'd make it past 25 years old. Here I am though, 28 years old!! I think the best, main thing I could do for myself before 30 is making it to 30 in the first place.

Sunlight Glisten 368 November 17, 2019 Share November 17, 2019 Already hit 30. Some notable achievements were: Got married Had 3 kid Graduated college Left the country Got a job with normal hours Bought a house Beat cancer (at the time it really did not look like I would make it to 30) Went skydiving I'm sure there are more but those come to mind. Here No Longer 5,276 November 17, 2019 Share November 17, 2019 (edited) I'm 22 as of now, but when I'm 30 I hope to: Be together (Can't exactly ask for "married" for a couple of reasons) with a man I love. Looking like I'm progressing on that rather well. I just have a few things to do to carve my current boyfriend into the best man within logical reason. Just adapt him to a more ehh, liberal, way of thinking about sexual relations (I mean he's already open to some things so that's a start) and make him a happier person and I pretty much have it. Be able to express my own personality in real life, with clothing choices and the etc. As of now, it's only marginally partially successful thanks to my lack of income. Leave this wretched state of Texas behind, for preferably my native Washington State, but plenty of other good states to live in like Iowa and Hawaii (though I can say there the cost of living is a bit high in general) will do. Become somebody and make a real name for myself, whether through streaming games, creating my own, or something else like that (maybe even become a professional player). I don't mean famous, but I do mean somebody. Edited November 17, 2019 by Ayyngel Dust

In my dreams, I'd love to get my health back in order, go back to school, graduate, and find a partner before then. However, I've given up on those (or I'm really trying to)... My only goal at this point is to finally learn tenor saxophone and oboe so when I die I can at least say I could play my three favorite instruments! lol Well, hey, before thirty I did go back to school, graduate, and learn the oboe. Sad thing is that I was in the perfect position to play tenor saxophone at college in marching band/pep band, but my health wouldn't allow it. =( Everything needs more woodwind! Gun Metal Zebra 2,232 June 28, 2022 Share June 28, 2022 I am currently 36 years old, but I did manage to go back to college and attain a degree and get out of a toxic work environment before I turned 30. Granted, like many college graduates nowadays, I am not working in my field of study (the job market for skilled labor is oversaturated, and I found that I can make a lot more doing basic building maintenance/handyman work than I could make as an HVAC service technician; it didn't take long for me to quit my trade due to low pay and unstable hours), but I suppose I got somewhat lucky in that the degree made me a bit more "marketable".
