Eh-heh, s-sorry for the... several month long unwarranted Hiatus!

I've been so wrapped up with work and anxiety that i've not made much time aside to do any forums or writing. There certainly is other types of writing i've been meaning to get done. Did make an SCP or two a little while back. I need more practice with setting aside "Me" time.

 I do mean to have more roleplay!

Say @Blitz Boom? Did we ever arrange a means to get my Draconequus in here? I don't seem to recall seeing a mention or any clues to thereas. I'm so sorry for the unreliability, heh

Been some busy days, so not seen your post before now, sorry. I'll address it now.

As for the things in the inn, Light had been pushed in the background a fair bit, so I figured I'd try something that gave him something to do. As it stands, no issues with things branching out again, and them having their separate things once more. Who knows? Maybe they will intertwine again someday.

If you have any preference as to how I should address them after the split, with for instance the kitsune, or another used character, or even someone new entirely, lemme know. If not, I'll address it as things gets to that point, and take a stab with the on(s) I think will fit best into things.

Sear was just asked for help as I didn't know how to involve the kobolds, as they don't seem to care about what happens to Light, so that was my last idea. They can fade into the background again easily, until such a time as you pull them out of retirement, if needed.

As for your draconequus... Nope, been ages, so I totally forgot that. If you want that, we'd likely have to split things, as I can't see an opening right here with any ease. Buuut... I could make something happen. Set up a scene, and lemme know if you'd like another draconequus to interact (a new one, that is), or some other, potentially hapless mortal bound to be frustrated by your antics.

Hey there, and welcome to the thread.  While I welcome folks here, we do need to go through a bit of info on your character before we start. Also, you're replying to an almost 10 year old post, by someone who have not been here on the forums for 8 years.  I ain't thinking they'll answer.

So, tell me a bit about your character, and then I'll make sure to find a nice setting for ya in the RP, so you can partake all the same. ^^

I don't have specific preferences in that way, however, the twins won't be leaving the town (at least willingly) until 1. Sheska gets that tail prosthesis thing and 2. They are sure that Onache knows what happened with the attacker, so in other words, they are able to tell it to either her or her drone. Other than that, the only preference is that it's someone that makes sense for them to interact with, and probably more importantly, stick with, just as an example, while they don't dislike Shark, i don't think they would actively hang around her for sake of being around her, you know?

That's not really it, as I tried to explain in my now reply (as I really didn't know what to do due to Evil pink one not having replied yet), it's more lack of ability over lack of care, sure Sheska does prioritize her own brother over someone she just met, but they do care about Light, like you would care about someone you just met and didn't hate. They aren't exactly close friends yet though. (also Trox is upstairs, so he doesn't even know what's happening.)

Ultimately the only thing any of them could have done, is to get someone to help, but there was no need, as the guard appeared anyway.

 

As a sidenote, since I don't know if I have described it well enough in my writing, and in case it has been forgotten (because even I sometimes forget it), here's finally a visual aid on the size of kobolds (average)

Basically, they'll be around any time the story goes back to the tavern, until when/if the siblings find a new, more permanent roof over their heads, at which point, the duo will continue their travels.

I had some guesses, but with the character's coming together, they aren't as viable. I was really betting on Ruby getting trapped somewhere alone and becoming damsel in distress

They have hung out already. She sees them as close friends, and will not leave them be forever.  But she will for now, since she doesn't want to bother her brother, when he is sad. The kitsune do like them though. They are peculiar ones, from another world, who seem to be as out of the water as they feel in Ponyville. They'll gravitate towards attempting to be friendly to them, but attempt not to pester them.

As for the prosthetic, I had totally forgotten that, but give it a few days, and it's probably about ready. If Onache wakes up before that... Not decided yet. We'll see.

I seem to recall you saying they were about the same size before.  And sorry for the misunderstanding. They are more neutral towards him then. I'll try and keep this sort of thing in mind.

I forgot one thing actually: If you wanna keep going with Solar, I do actually have an odd character who would do well as a secretary, for the sort of group that Solar is trying to get running. Not someone brand new, just a char I've used sparingly, as she didn't have much of a place. But she's an odd one, who is good at the nitty gritty paperwork side of many things. All you'd need to do, were to go to Manehatten, and I could have them encounter one another.

I have mentioned it yes that they are about the same height as a mare, but sometimes one may forget the difference between bipedal and four legged creature (even I sometimes imagine the kobolds bigger than they are ) It's true that from the bottom of the foot on top of the head they are same, but pony still has notably more mass due to having bigger body in other directions. Point being, kobolds are small (and light) enough to ride a pony (somewhat)

it's not that I think it's safe, just that those exact situations don't work

It's good to remember who they are. They are part of species that is at least bit species-ists, always choosing their own above others, and they have lost enough to be maybe even bit afraid of getting too close to others, and from a place where ponies were not the good guys, so it's not that they are heartless monsters, they have just very high and thick walls around them when it comes to emotional connections.

I hadn't planned him to have an adventure of his own, but we could give this a try and see where it goes, I can easily have him visit Manehattan, since I can just say that there is something around there he needs to investigate. However, if at any point you feel like you have to forcibly come up with something to keep things going, then say so, no need to keep it going any longer than it naturally goes.

Well, some ponies would probably allow it. Just don't try it with the kitsune. They'd yelp and roll around to get you off of them.  They don't like being ridden.

Totally understandable. It wouldn't be good survival instinct if they weren't marred by their life experiences, and culture. ^^

I have several ideas for ways it can go already.  It's a character I haven't had much use of, but I more or less have her pinned down story and personality wise, so it is easy to put her into things. And if it goes well, but you feel ti drags on, one can always just end with potentially something along the lines of "She would return to base, and sign up properly for his squad, and begin the paperwork in full. She'd probably be busy for days", as an example.

I do have a one question, what happens to fire?  While dragon fire does have magical aspects to it, at least for Ruby's and Charir's kind, the formation of the fire is still biological, and considering Charir's situation, he will be using said fire to try and break free, so what would that do if anything? Is the stuff fireproof? will it absorb it?

Fire will blast holes in it, but it will work to entangle him again. It is not stopped or restricted though, so you can try and handle these sorts of things with regular fire breath. Leviathan just isn't, as she's used to using magic in response to emergencies.

Shark would look up at the mare, as she got closer with Sear, eyes puffy from tears.

She'd be quick, drawing out a needle, and used it to poke hole on one of the inflamed blood vessels running around on his body. His blood would be tinted by a green'ish glow, from the poison, but she would keep examining, poking a few more holes elsewhere, trying to stay out of sight of Light, so that he couldn't see her. Every time she did, the result were the same. Tinted blood, dripping from the wound.

"No eggs, that's good. I can do s-something here."

She'd pull out a box of syringes from the bag, then rummaged around and found a small bottle. She'd draw a few inches of lightly blue liquid from it, then push the air out of the syringe, and look down on Light.

"It won't cure him, but it should help with the illusions."

If he stayed still, she'd jab the needle right into his bloodstream, and inject the liquid. After about thirty seconds, his delusions should start to flicker, making them easier to discern from reality, and ease the pressure he'd feel in his head.

"Sir? Can you hear me? You've been infected by a Harvest Mite. I've given you something for the symptoms, but we need to get you to the hospital right away. Can you walk?"

Sheska observed the situation from the stairs as she came down during the latter part of the 'operation', she made a mental note about 'Harvest Mite' for when she got a chance to study this world's medical information, it wasn't that she had never seen creatures who's bite caused hallucinations, but the world of magical creatures was such that even seemingly identical cases could need opposite things to deal with. Chega had enough idea to have heard the Creature's name before, but that was about it, she didn't know how they would be dealt with, until now, so there hadn't been anything she could have done to help, as much as it hurt to watch, she was a bard, not much a song or clever wording did in this type of situation, and she lacked the physical strength, or mass in that matter, to be help in that aspect either, in fact, it would have taken just one poorly aimed kick from Light to kill here there and then, so she rather didn't take the risk.

As such, please tell us about your character. There is rarely issues, but just need to see who and what we're dealing with, as it also makes it easier to find a suitable fit.

Hmm, let me see if I can't catch the thought I had before...
Widdershins, as a sort of character inverse of Discord, cares deeply about having friendship! So much so that he's likely to kill a pony orchestrating this massive, showy plot for a huuuge adventure where you all bond over hardship like one does in the usual Fantasy Childrens' Episodic Television Show! He misunderstands things to comedic extremes, can't grasp other's personal boundaries of what's weird to see an immortal being do...

Wuh-......yes, but Mysteriously Magical! And big funny lobster claw!!

Point being, B.B that perhaps Widdershins would make do with a mentor figure of sorts. Did always fancy him/it going to the Friendship School. Maybe learning how to curb his impulses enough to learn that if a pony says they need to warm up, you don't yeet them into the sun.

On another tentacle, Widdershins does have vast technical magical knowledge, the capacity to manipulate spacetime (though he's forgotten alot due to being out of practice[gone mad]) and a long track record of falling into groups with the worst intentions for him. With immortality, its lost alot of their self-respect and he'd gladly serve as a contained battery of magic for whatever Villain comes along.

 

 Kind of always did want to explore the theme of being overconcerned with friendship to the point it ruins your social skills. Don't think the show ever covered that lesson.

I'm a Pegasus with no knowledge of my past. If there was an element of harmony for determination, I would represent it. (Same for Speed, and Law) I'm fairly shy, I secretly love Fluttershy, I live with an Alicorn named Rich Crawford, and Echo the bat pony in a house just a little north of Ponyville. I'm also the second pony in history to ever perform a Sonic rainboom which has ignited a rivalry between me and Rainbowdash.

Folks usually don't use the profile for that sort from what I've seen, so I didn't check. But alright, looking things over. Have to do this, to avoid the rare Mary Sue sorta character. It's hard to work with someone who sets up as being perfect, stronger than everyone else, and flawless, as that tends to be the sort that wants to overshadow and be main character material.

Can't say I see anything like that here. Sonic Rainboom, and speed, but that's fairly benign, all things considered. Hard flying anywhere if you're caught in a magical aura for instance, so if something happened, he ain't flawless as it were. I do have a question about the apparent alicorn that is mentioned though. As there is none in the setting currently, just need to figure out how to set it proper here, as it's the sort that would've been brought attention to.

Might I suggest potentially that for this setting, said alicorn are either one who hides it, or perhaps just moved to town, within the last few days? It's a minor wrinkle, but just to have things sorted in advance.

As for the setting, I would assume you'd like to start in Ponyville, yes? As things are now, we have just gotten on the other side of a standing order from the local guard for others to hunker down and wait, due to some trouble creatures, but it's done now, and things are easing up, and able to get back to normal again. So could well be that you'd just arrive to the town at this point, or emerge from your domicile, to get back into the swing of things.

Now then, as for whom to match you with... No sarcastic characters it seems, so that rules out a few of mine. There are options for more relatable ones, or more opposites sort of things. I can set some examples, so you can see what I mean.

Dr. Zinger, or Ziggy, as she calls herself. Zebra and pegasus mare, that due to a genetic defect had explosive growth for much of her early life, until a procedure were sorted to finally halt it. She's an easy head and a half taller than your average pony, and is a certified doctor, with a specialty in bone setting and muscle related injuries. She had enough experience to understand that well.

Ziggy is an energetic, hyper-positive mare, who likes to zoom around and surprise tackle-hug others, and is drawn to help anyone she sees that has any kind of medical emergency. She is fast, but not sonic rainboom sort. Might be, if she flew straight and narrow, but that's not her style. She flies around using a mixture of her wings and legs, to fly around in zig-zag patterns. Dizzying to watch, and even more if you are grabbed and brought for a quick fly, but she keeps her bearings whilst doing this. Makes it somewhat difficult to intercept her, if you're trying to do that, and expends a lot more energy than regular flying, but she has that in abundance. To dangerous levels actually. If she's not allowed to expend her energy, she can end up having medical issues, and as such needs to be under sedatives if for instance she's refined to a hospital bed.

So, this is an example of a relatable one. Flies, is fast, and very positive.

More middle ground. Brute Force is from Las Pegasus, where she recently made waves as the Equestrian fighting champion. An event that's mostly held in Las Pegasus, for tourist reasons. She's a unicorn that doesn't train her magic as much as her brawn, as she always wanted to be the strongest fighter. She's serious, but helpful and mellow enough, long as she doesn't see trouble makers in need of a lesson.

After the last fights she sustained an eye injury, which is why she needs to wear the goggle. So she's wandering around while it heals, training here and there, and sight-seeing. Ponyville is known for having plenty of monsters, so it seemed a good place to go for some practice for her. Or at least the forest were.

And speaking of the forest, last one here then.

Anomaly. Spirit of Evolution, as she calls herself. A draconequus who recently settled down in the old castle in the Everfree Forest, along with her two kids (parts of her that fell off over the years, and mutated into living creatures of their own). She's a big proponent of making new and fascinating creatures, which mostly she keeps to the castle, or to the island she lived on before coming here, but a few does slip through once in a while, resulting in some odd creatures. Such as the large, pony-eating goblin frog things that attacked Ponyville some days past. She sorted the issue though, before anyone got eaten.

As any draconequus, she likes to play games, and if she runs into someone that feels high and mighty, enjoys bringing them down a peg or two. But she'd prefer to simply have some non-dangerous fun, and invite new faces to her home, for pumpkin juice and cake. Just remember to specify you don't like rusty barbed wire brownies.

This is the more chaotic, playful opposite, as it were. I do also have another draoconequui, but unless your character has an issue with fear, or want to meditate, she is unlikely to have much of a meaning for your character. And two I haven't had in proper yet, but are looking for an eventual opening for. Averice (fidgety and soft spoken. A bit creepy and obsessive with shiny things, in the eyes of some. Has some similarity a crow) and Gluttony (Large, brawnish, and likes to play minor. but very direct and less mischievous. Somewhat diamond dog inspired)

So, any of these catch the eye? Or perhaps you can elaborate the sort of vibe you were looking for instead, to help things? Also, there is no need to post three different times. I have work and other social things to do, so it takes time before I can respond at times, but I do notice.

Alright, are you thinking an actual teacher, or maybe some enthusiastic students? Cause I do have a newly arrived pair of kitsune twins, that just joined the school, and their kin is friendly towards draconequui, due to their similarities as tricksters. Goes all the way back to Discord's time, of whom many have heard stories, but they haven't had the time, or nerve to approach him yet. A bit star struck as it were.

They're level headed, and wanting to learn, as well as being accepting and curious about draconequui. Perhaps they would suit your need? If not, I can try and whip up a teacher for him. Probably someone who messed up, and is being punished with this duty by the principal.

Either way, it could work with him approaching the school in the first place, yes?

Folks usually don't use the profile for that sort from what I've seen, so I didn't check. But alright, looking things over. Have to do this, to avoid the rare Mary Sue sorta character. It's hard to work with someone who sets up as being perfect, stronger than everyone else, and flawless, as that tends to be the sort that wants to overshadow and be main character material.

Can't say I see anything like that here. Sonic Rainboom, and speed, but that's fairly benign, all things considered. Hard flying anywhere if you're caught in a magical aura for instance, so if something happened, he ain't flawless as it were. I do have a question about the apparent alicorn that is mentioned though. As there is none in the setting currently, just need to figure out how to set it proper here, as it's the sort that would've been brought attention to.

Might I suggest potentially that for this setting, said alicorn are either one who hides it, or perhaps just moved to town, within the last few days? It's a minor wrinkle, but just to have things sorted in advance.

As for the setting, I would assume you'd like to start in Ponyville, yes? As things are now, we have just gotten on the other side of a standing order from the local guard for others to hunker down and wait, due to some trouble creatures, but it's done now, and things are easing up, and able to get back to normal again. So could well be that you'd just arrive to the town at this point, or emerge from your domicile, to get back into the swing of things.

Now then, as for whom to match you with... No sarcastic characters it seems, so that rules out a few of mine. There are options for more relatable ones, or more opposites sort of things. I can set some examples, so you can see what I mean.

Dr. Zinger, or Ziggy, as she calls herself. Zebra and pegasus mare, that due to a genetic defect had explosive growth for much of her early life, until a procedure were sorted to finally halt it. She's an easy head and a half taller than your average pony, and is a certified doctor, with a specialty in bone setting and muscle related injuries. She had enough experience to understand that well.

Ziggy is an energetic, hyper-positive mare, who likes to zoom around and surprise tackle-hug others, and is drawn to help anyone she sees that has any kind of medical emergency. She is fast, but not sonic rainboom sort. Might be, if she flew straight and narrow, but that's not her style. She flies around using a mixture of her wings and legs, to fly around in zig-zag patterns. Dizzying to watch, and even more if you are grabbed and brought for a quick fly, but she keeps her bearings whilst doing this. Makes it somewhat difficult to intercept her, if you're trying to do that, and expends a lot more energy than regular flying, but she has that in abundance. To dangerous levels actually. If she's not allowed to expend her energy, she can end up having medical issues, and as such needs to be under sedatives if for instance she's refined to a hospital bed.

So, this is an example of a relatable one. Flies, is fast, and very positive.

More middle ground. Brute Force is from Las Pegasus, where she recently made waves as the Equestrian fighting champion. An event that's mostly held in Las Pegasus, for tourist reasons. She's a unicorn that doesn't train her magic as much as her brawn, as she always wanted to be the strongest fighter. She's serious, but helpful and mellow enough, long as she doesn't see trouble makers in need of a lesson.

So, Rich Crawford the Alicorn, recently moved to Ponyville after being hunted for sport in several larger cities he wanted to try a smaller town that already had an Alicorn. When I first popped into Ponyville, I spent my first 3 days hiding in alleyways and the sewers. He saw me, and decided to pull me out of the shadows and help me make some friends. Pretty soon I had some pretty great friends, so I decided to settle down and build a house and Rich was happy enough to share it with me. 

Oh yeah, if I could meet Ziggy that would be nice  She seems like my kind of person. Strange, fast, and positive.
