movies/tv How much gore can you handle on TV, Movies, and Shows?

If a movie has an insane amount of gore, I usually laugh at it. The blood spewing bed from Nightmare on Elm Street has to be one of my favorite scenes. :P

Kill Bill has blood flying everywhere and it's hilarious. Blood doesn't spew fifty feet out of your arm silly. :P

One of the aspects from Mortal Kombat that I love is the Fatalities. I'm definitely excited for the tenth game because of how insane the x-ray moves and fatalities are.

I guess since I know it's fake, it's funny. :P

I can handle gore in games and animated shows pretty well. Though it's hard for me to see gore when it's live-action(even though I liked 1000 Ways to Die)

I think I've gotten used to seeing some of the goriest scenes on television, like watching some ancient tribe bash a guy's head with a mace until he basically no longer has a head... Doesn't mean I like to see it though.

Hehehehe Even my Profile states in my interests that Plushies Gore and Horror are things I love!

Throw gore at me I will either like it or laugh at it (I am very morbid hehe) Horror movies and Gore Movies are soooooo good that is most likely why I love Pinkamena as a pony. Hmmmm, now I realize how morbid that actually is but I don't mind, BRING IN THE GORE! Wait no not me! Plea.........

Lots of blood, now I can handle that. Kinda used to it in video games after all, and it isn't that different in shows or movies.

But once things become more brutal and/or detailed, then I'm out. And when I say I'm out, I mean I'm passed out. Well, maybe. It depends on how bad it really is, and how long I'm forced to endure it.

I can handle gore to a certain level. I have no problem with gore in video games and cartoons. The type of gore seen in films like Saving Private Ryan and The Godfather, I can handle no problem aswell. However, EXTREME gore in films such as the Final Destination films and other visceral horror films make me SICK! Seriously, I literally puked when I was watching The Human Centipede

Eh, I don't mind it. Honestly, the worse the gore gets the more fake it seems to me; anyway.

Of course, that doesn't mean that I won't watch something that will make ke squeamish someday.

I used to be able to enjoy gore, but not so much anymore. I've developed some pretty bad anxiety issues and excessive gore makes me uncomfortable. When I could watch gory movies I sat through and enjoyed Ichi the Killer, so my tolerance was pretty high.

I'm not particularly bothered by gore either in cartoons or in a movie/show with real actors. I can even tolerate it if it looks realistic.

The only time I ever shudder or act uneasy is when a gory death comes from out of nowhere (like Final Destination), or I see someone die for real by say, shooting themselves. If I see something like that, then I'm all like, "Oh...my...", but I can still watch it without throwing up or anything. It's probably due to the fact that I can tell what looks realistic and what doesn't.

HECK, I LOVE bloody cartoons. That's why DBZ is my all-time favourite anime. Because the others are pansies.

If you think DBZ is bloody (and enjoyed that about it), you should totes watch "Akira."  Here's the trailer:

*Can't post the trailer as even it is far too bloody lol.*

Ummm, I guess I can handle violence and gore, "realistic" or otherwise, but I don't particularly like it.  I've never felt faint while watching the likes of "The Walking Dead" or "Dog Soldiers" or "Akira," and I've never had to keep a bucket or some such receptacle nearby either.  I used to love the hell out of "Braveheart" for its battle scenes; though I've lost interest in Gibson's films following certain events.  Admittedly, I want nothing whatsoever to do with the gore pieces that are associated with this fandom.  And I f****** hate and dread cheap jump scares lol.  LAME.  Scare me with atmosphere and creepy content; scare me on a deep, nigh incomprehensible level that filters into mah dreams.  Scare me like Lovecraft would scare me; with scaly, unseen abominations flopping against my door.  Not with, "Boo!  I gotcha!"  Go f*** yourself, jump scares. xD

Video games were not named, but I'm fine with video game gore PROVIDED IT IS NOT GRATUITOUS AND STUPID.  If it's survival horror gore that adds to the atmosphere and the scare factor: OK.  If it's, "Oh, look!  This character exploded because I shot and / or stabbed them once," then I don't need it.  Gore for the sake of gore is not my bag.  If you want me scared of what might lurk just around the corner, I can work with that.

I dont really mind gore, as long as it doesnt involve animals. Like I could watch a guy get set om fire and burn to death, but I cant stand watching a dog get abused. Its weird.

I'm perfectly happy with TArantino style Gore (over the top, silly-on-purpose), and in fact, actively praise it, but once you show me serious Gore (like horror violence in Saw or something), I nope right out of there.

Gore cartoons are the same. Ish. As long as it's surprised to be silly.

Superjail is one of my favorite things ever, but Happy Tree Friends is horrifically no-bueno for me.

I draw no lines in gore as long as there's a reason for it other than shock value. If you're just gonna use it as your entire selling point like the Saw movies or something like it then I highly disapprove.

For certain movies though, I think lack of gore does a lot for it. For example, Zulu contains very little blood and gore despite being about a ferocious battle that resulted in hundreds of casualties in close quarters. And it excels focusing on things other than death and struggle, despite those being major themes in it.

I can handle Gore in every form except when it happens to cute things. Yup you know were this is going. I could read a Gretious Manga like Hell Season with ease but have to stop Smile HD when Pinky started beating AJ. I still have a headace from that. Infact I discovered this weried gore beavour of mine when I was watching The Walking Dead. The only thing that grossed me out in that entire series was the bloody Baby Car seat, of which you can tell that the parents ate the Baby after becomeing Zombies. As evidenced of the hadprints on the side. And I think that's natural. To me cute things, well most of them, are innocent and pure, so why ghore it up? Naturally though the thing about ghore is that I always know that it is fake. Well the ones in Movies and stuff. But real gore. I tend to avoid it, be it on the news or a crimial froum show in my country called Crime Watch.

I have little problems with gore unless it falls into these categories:

Gruesome torture: Pointless and horrible torture gore bothers me a lot. It is stuff I cannot stand to watch mainly because it is depressing, sometimes over the top yet insanely gruesome and it never serves a point. The Saw films are a wonderful example of this. Hate those movies.

Depressing gore: Odd sounding yes, but by this I mean gore that is really realistic in the sense that it is a realistic and insanely depressing scenario, say, a war movie.

'Mature' gore: This is something I can actually 'handle' but I think is stupid. Violence that is thrown into a movie or TV show that thinks it is being mature by just throwing senseless blood and guts everywhere. Never found that to be tasteful.

It is mainly the torture stuff that bothers me. Most of it feels senseless and just for shock value.
