when summer heard a voice comming from nearby them she flew a few meters up and got in her defence modes. she helt her front legt in front of her and tried to locate the treath as fast as she could. her wings were ready to blow any treath away as soon as it showd itself.

she learned this skill on her various trips to the everfree forest and it had saved her life many times.

then, a tiny little dragon came from the bushes and summer almost couldn't keep her laughing, she almost felt embarest that she let herself get scared by such a little thing. but the other dragon was worth to be scared of. she was big and intimidating. even laryel seemed to be intimitated by her! when she spoke summer decided not to like her, she seemed cold and unkind.

summer stayed in the air, on the same hight as the biggest dragon. she didn't want to be far away from her, but she wanted to be able to look her in the eyes.

'who are you?' summer asked her with a reserved tone 'and why would we come with you? why can't we talk here?' and summer looked the big dragon in the eyes.

then summer noticed that her pony friends were talking, it came to her as a buzz in the background but it didn't seem to affect her. the female dragon however seemed not to like it so summer smiled a bit and didn't tell the others to stop. the little dragon didn't seem to like it either and summer got annoyed by him since he was moving so much so she flew over to him and grabbed the rope. then she flew over to a tree to hang him there. 'much better' she muttered.

Jealous was one word that could describe Lin at the moment. Not that she was any less content with what, or who, she had at the moment. Having been given the chance to reunite with Sen after many years of separation was a welcome relief but the current predicament shared by both siblings didn't make her any content with herself. But she won't show this or voice out her feelings; those weren't necessary right now.

"Sounds nice having some place to go back to," Lin replied. "Even your mother sounds like an approachable sort. I'm honestly feeling like I'm at the beginning of time where chaos supposedly was the only thing present before everything else was formed. Will it be long before we meet your mother?"

Rapid Wind didn't hear Stargazer's half mumble, but he did hear his question.

"Very, even from this distance," Rapid Wind answered and noted there was still some distance left to travel and he felt he might as well get trotting and started to trot closer to the castle.

@@Blitz Boom The doctor told Cyan to cough into a jar. She nodded and it wasn't long before she felt another tickly cough in the back of her throat. She coughed, almost going to cover her mouth as she usually did. "Is that okay, then?" she asked, and she peered at the jar. She hadn't a clue what exactly she existed to see, but a lot of times she felt slightly awkward making eye contact with ponies she didn't know. This was one of those times.

"I don't know. Mother will not show unless she wants to.

She is the only constant in our home. Solid, never-changing, just like the building where she lives and from where we come. Yet none finds the centre she have shrouded unless she wills it, and the stories any of us can remember with her meeting outsiders are few."

A display looking like a shadowy ocean with ships battling briefly came into form to their left before it dispersed again.

"She says she doesn't care to see our masters unless she fears they harm us. And even then, she comes to them, not the other way, and her house is kept safe. Even master couldn't find it when he tried, though I hope this time goes better because you aren't my master. You're my friend. Or at least some of you are."

A playground of shades started to appear around them, briefly showing shadowy figures of many kinds toying with vague shapes of playground toys made from even vaguer memories of old stories. Since those stories and few looks from long ago were all they had to work with, time would take its toll on the specifics of those as their memories weren't infinite, and things vanished here and there as newer stories were told that filled their minds.

"You say our home reminds you of chaos? Why? When I saw master's world, it were calmer than this. And lighter. Not as strange as what is now, but still, didn't seem like home."

The small pegasi pointed to the rough right of where they were.

"Well, it chased us from that side, and I don't think we really cut many corners, so best bet is that way.

And good to meet you Night, I'm Null-"

"- And I'm... Void."

A somewhat hollow *clonk* were heard as Void looked at Night before turning the direction that Null had pointed out and letting out a shaky sigh, clearly not looking forward to going that way and potentially run into the... Manticore, right. That thing again.

The angel gave a good view of the sisters cutie marks, which were an almost identical black hole with a swirling, glittery pattern leading towards the middle as if it were being sucked in. The only difference were that for Null it swirled right, and for Void it swirled left.

"W-We should get moving I guess... M-Might be we can make it to the capitol of Equestria t-then."

@@Frosty Frost,

@@Summer Breeze,

The largest of the assembled dragons - or Atazi - removed the clawed hand from her head and looked at the circus of a group they had run into, ending on the one of the ponies that seemed hostile in it, but at least were the only one she did not currently want to knock out and drag after her to make them shut up. She did Not need their noise in her head right now.

"I am Nerzhei, and you're coming with us one way or another because either we get out of here, or we'll leave you here and come back to harvest you when the valley have made you into a tree and you'll end up warming my fireplace. I'd strongly advise you to take the first option, unless you want to test me, pony?"

The hissing tone were hostile to a point, that were true, but as so far she were being faced with an irritating brat, a stallion that sounded like he had cracked under pressure and a mare that flew up and put a challenging attitude towards her, the question really remained if this were just how she were in general, or if it were giving back in kind to what she got.

Lyriel weren't sure, but she Were sure however that this were starting to escalate in a very bad way. Though the ponies were not currently part of the forest, the flames of the Atazi would likely still burn them, and if you aggravated those kinds enough they seemed eager to make use of that skill.

As such, she moved forward, picked up the still-talking Blitz - which thankfully made her stop talking - and rose a glowing hand towards the tree where the smaller of their scaled guests were bound for now, which made the tree creak and bend until it were low enough to make the small one hit the ground, at which point he finally wriggled out of the rope and crawled up into the tree that were straightening out under Lyriel's touch again.

When she were done, she quickly moved closer and placed herself between Frosty and Summer, looking at Nerzhei with as calm a face as she could.

"Honoured Nerzhei, I humbly beg of you to forgive my new friends. Their travel through this forest have been a strange experience for them, and this familiarity they seem to have to your noble kind just haves them reacting a little more than I'm sure they'd normally do."

The dragon moved her sight away from the mare and looked over at the dryad that were holding the major noise-polluter whom looked at her with big eyes and a gleeful smile. That one were silent at least for now, so that removed one problem, though she were still not too happy about the other two ponies. As for the dryad... There were issues there, but strangely the obvious one about them normally being hostile and territorial were not one of them. A curious situation, but that were above her pay grade.

With that in mind, she nodded slowly at the Dryad and returned her gaze to the pegasi.

"Now then, do you want to keep pushing buttons, or do you get your friend to calm down so we can get something productive done here instead of standing around and literally grow roots?"

Meanwhile, whilst the back and forth were going on between pony and dragon with a middle ground of dryad, the smaller dragon got himself better placed in another, nearby tree and scouted out the unicorn with narrowed eyes, wondering if he would become quiet if he got jumped. Might be that Nerzhei didn't think much of his fighting skills, but he knew she thought even less of noisy beings than that, and he might be able to get away with it if he took the battle to this one.

Sure, the pony were bigger than him, but that didn't stop a dragon after all. He were tough. Honestly!

"Good good. I have a colleague that will check this and we can narrow things further depending on what bacteria he can find. It's going to be a bit, so try to relax whilst I'm away. If you need a bucket there's one next to the desk that can be used."

With that he took the jar, the thermometer, and left the room, closing the door quietly behind him as he headed for another room in the hospital where they had a pony with a microscope. He had a talent for spotting what bacteria they were really dealing with.

"Well then... Guess that's the first exam at least."

"For your own safety, I'd suggest not touching the castle itself when we get there right off the bat. The stories are rife with the new princess using varied arcana, and the castle might be under some kind of defensive spell that will react badly to outside influence."

Was it likely? He'd go with a tentative yes, but it were hard to say. She were young, but a student of Princess Celestia, and if rumour served right had spent a lot of time practising her magic thus far. Would make sense that she would want to use those skills to protect her own home he'd think, and would explain the unguarded, open windows.

Whilst Rapid trotted along, Stargazer had taken to finally using his wings again and flew besides the pegasi headed for a closer look at the new princesses castle. It were low to the ground, granted, but he felt this more than starting to go into a run at this point. Not his strong side considering he usually just flew wherever he needed to be.

One in particular, a certain Alicorn amulet which would have given you great power at an even greater cost. A worse fate could not have befallen Equestria than when..." the Traveler paused, "I have already said too much. You need no other guidance from me but this: When The Forgotten One, the Beast of Absolute Order is revealed to you, sink your fangs in deep and fill its veins with your venom, for Absolute Order means the end of all things."

As Sylar got up and readied his blade for another strike, the Forgotten One brought its arm swinging back toward Last, who had already formulated her plan of attack. When she brings the blade down on the creature's arm, the wound cuts deep and cannot heal itself shut like all the other wounds before it. The blade had a unique effect on the creature, making the area around the wound visible to the living. "AAAAAHHHH!!!" Only the Forgotten would be able to hear Charlie's scream of pain. It didn't bother Quill though because he hadn't met Charlie before, so he wouldn't recognize the voice. Quill began firing darts at the creature, flying near Quinch and adding to his distraction. A voice telling something from far away?

To somepony who didn't know much about the hivemind, such as Briar, it were puzzling to hear such a thing. What he had thought from the vague snippet of information he had heard on that particular topic, he had assumed that the hivemind worked somewhat like telepathy. As in the voice reaching, connecting, and then being roughly the same audibly. Though from this, either the connection were frailer in general than he thought, or something were amiss that he would like to know more about... In better times. Right now, they still stood on shaky ground and he'd rather not begin an inquiry after Priestess had generously helped him and the others to be considered safe, potentially risking annoying them enough to ignore her words.

Sure, her position may be higher than he thought, but he could not risk it right now. And besides, he'd have enough time to learn about such a thing later. There were changelings in the area of Ponyville, and this seemed like a simple one to fnd out there another time when things were calmer.

"I can help either you or Syo, Seamore. I would not like to leave either of you alone, but perhaps the trees are protection enough for the pair of you here? You are more aware of this than I, so I will let you decide where I can help the most."

If he were told to go with Syo, it would be on his own. Though he did not trust the spiders, the trees would be able to protect her better than he could if they left here in case they had more settling in. He couldn't count on being able to get a surprise hit in as easy again another time now that they knew of this part of him, and though it pained him some to think about, he were reluctantly aware of as well that there were a stalemate here, and that she should be safe unless something suddenly sparked amongst them. With the army standing ready to attack nearby, he would not think that should be a thing, and if it were... Well, it would meet its end fast.

Last grins as she rises up from the ground and looks at Nemo with a fire burning in her.

She had managed to hit him, and it stuck! She hadn't been sure how effective this weapon would be, but it seemed to turn out to be able to do the job in at least some regard for now. Sure, she had been hit as a result of her reckless attack, and had been slung away a bit, but that didn't deter her. No, not after knowing that this worked.

She felt a short sting of pain as she rose up though from the side of her stomach, but nothing more than that. No feeling of her coat suddenly getting wet with blood were a sign that the stitching on the wound running nearly the length of her stomach were still holding, which were good, but likely some tissue that had started to patch up had just gotten torn. A real pain in the flank, but she could whimper about this later if more pain came or she ended rupturing something. For now, she had a battle to fight.

As she jumped past the unconscious demon mare and began some minor attacks on the ancient one, on the regular plane, Zhu just calmly stood and looked briefly at the chaos going on around him with the general pony population starting to get frantic, some getting injured and the timberwolves acting strange with their keeper. Eventually though, he'd look back up at the Creator, and with a neutral voice speak as if things were not the pot of madness it actually were.

"The purpose have long since surpassed the individual. If my corruption would be the price to pay for the central light to remain, then so be it. It is not as I expected a life to wait on the other side of the final day in any case..

Regardless, we have the plan set now. It were not the one I had started with, but your presence have changed what were to be too much already.plan B is in session."

After that were said, he regained silence and simply stood ready to wait, focusing on little more than the maintenance of the barrier around the town and preparing for the first glimpse he would catch of the ancient one, so they could begin on the last stage. His heartrate increased ever so slightly at the thought of this finally ending, but he had kept most of his calm through worse, and he would now too. After this were over... Perhaps things would change.

Meanwhile, over at Ginger, it wasn't just Penny trying to help the fallen half-blood, though she did so more efficiently than the timberpup who were barking at Penny between whimpering and licking Ginger's face, wanting her to wake up. That she did were certainly a relief, but he didn't stop barking at penny just yet though as he still wasn't sure what she were doing. It were to a lesser extend now though as he were jumping up Ginger, tail wagging enough to almost make her move forward like a swamp boat.

Unsurprising, the one over at her turned out to be Ziggy. Upon seeing Serenade collapse her worry meter had gone off and she had rushed down to see if there was anything she could do to doctor her up or something. Usually she'd be more sure if that were what she supposed to do, but considering the strange happenings of the siren, for all she knew she had to dance to make her better or something else. Seriously, she had little to no idea what to do in case Serenade were injured as a result of what she did as that'd likely be a whole new level of mental exhaustion or something similar. Which were a complicated study at best.

"Serenade? Are you okay?"

She wasn't even focused on the mimic whom at this point were going into a mixture of what seemed like laughing fits without sound and rolling around disoriented a little away from them.

Frosty was really happy. If these dragons were where he thought they were, than they only had to cross a sea and a mountain range before they could take a train home. He could be wrong, because no one really knows all the places dragons live, but the dragons could very well be from the big dragon place to the east.

This would mean that they would have to travel really far to get back, but it's far easier than trying to find the right dimension to go back to.

"YES YES YES YES YES YES! Suck it, dimensional travel! I'm not learning about YOU anytime soon! BWAHAHAHAHAHA! YES YES YES YES YES YEEEEEEES!"

And with those last words he froze the grass beneath them so that the frost on the grass spelled "YES". He took a deep breath.

"Aaaand I'm done, -" another deep breath "- wow, never knew that I could get that excited. I should do that more often."

He looked around him, only now noticing what kind of situation they were in. Summer looked pretty annoyed, and apparently the smaller dragon had been about to jump on him!

"Aaah! Don't jump! I didn't do anything wrong! Or wait, maybe I did. Doesn't matter! I'm innocent!"

While he said that his horn glowed, ready to defend himself with magic. His eyes darted from side to side, trying to see possible ways to stop an angry dragon.

'Ah, this is bad!' Frosty thought, 'Dragons can't help us get out of here if they're mad at us!'

A flaw in Omen's design - if you could call it so - were the emotional part often were dulled down and hidden behind the more base, logical side of her. At times that were a good thing, as she kept her cool more and could see thing objectively if it were needed, but then there were times like this, when she saw the sister of her only friend going into a near panic and only responded by looking. Curious and with a hint of concern, but regardless, still she simply watched.

She felt no panic alongside Lin, nor fear for what were happening to her. Just thoughts on what could be happening, and wondering what she were going to say, since there was nothing she could really do. She were not magic, and this were a problem with magic.

"Don't be afraid."

The voice came out of nowhere, but it were not spoken to Lin as in how Omen did. No, the soft, calming voice were not whispered in her mind, but instead blown on unseen winds and brought to her ears.

"Focus your mind away from the fear, and save your strength. It will give you time."

"Mother... What should I do?"

This Omen could understand. Not the motives or what went on, but what Mother would wish for her to do. Mother, who had watched them, and now spoke to the dual personalities of Sen and Lin with the soft voice that almost seemed to embrace the listeners in a soft embrace.

"Lift your friends burden my child, and bring them to the fourteenth pillar."

With that, the voice vanished and the three of them were left behind again amidst the chaotic surroundings.

"The fourteenth pillar... She will wait there,"

She looked over to Lin - or Sen, if it had changed again - and tilted her head to the side before the ground beneath them suddenly shot up and the layer of the shadowy *rock* they stood on carried them on tendrils of shade. It were how Omen usually transported others in here, and she had done so with Sen before, but she had wanted to walk now to not miss any sign that Mother might be near, so this would not have been as effective.

Now though, she knew where they were going. It was just a question about who would be the one in control whilst they got there, and of course, when they would eventually arrive.

"I think it's best if you stay down for a bit. Just until you get your bearings again."

Ziggy listened to what were being said, but more than anything right now she were concerned for Serenade, and that tended to overwrite the other parts of her reaction pattern until she had done something. Though right now, asking Serenade to sit down for a bit and see if it didn't help really Were all that she could do.

"From what you've said about Sirens, I'm guessing it's not easy to suppress that side when you go into the basics of your being like this, huh? Like an instinctual part is resonating when you get near and the vibrations gets stronger and tries to take over the more you're around it.

It's admirable that you can do it Serenade. Really is."

Finally. As the beast turned to him - and the other pony joined the fray - he was starting to wonder if he'd be able to get its attention at all. This would be so much simpler, he thought, if I could just talk to it. Things are so much easier to tick off if you know what to insult.

He made sure to zigging and zagging as he circled around the thing, still blaring noise, on occasion scraping past it with electrical fingers. He still had no idea what it was, or what it wanted, but the others seemed to be doing their job, chipping away at it piece by piece. He hoped that at least the entire incident wouldn't end up biting him in the ass.

Lin didn't know whether to feel anxious or relieved but an answer was an answer. She mustered her strength and managed to keep her waning powers in check but she knew she was being drained. She didn't need to know how she was being sapped of her strength but she felt her magic was being sustained by her essence. And she was scared; she knew what was happening and what will happen if she lingered too long.

"I'll follow your lead, Omen. I won't be far behind," Lin struggled maintain her composure. "Where is this fourteenth pillar?"

"Hmm, noted," Rapid Wind replied and got a little concerned that any spell put on the castle to defend it from outside intrusion might have a bad effect on him and as he trotted a little closer, he hoped not to be zapped. Rapid Wind also noticed Stargazer was using his wings and felt a little awkward to be still trotting the ground.

@@Blitz Boom"Not easy is an understatement." She doesn't move, staying on her side, "The urge to feed....to sing becomes near overwhelming." She takes another deep breath, "underwater, and in the safety of my own home I can let loose but along other ponies.." She sighs, "That is why I didn't dispute the transfer to the Night Court, and why I moved to Ponyville and....and never had any close friends before I met you and....well, I'd say Omen is a friend but that is one weird...pony-like creature." She closes her eyes.

While roaming the halls, trying to find the library, Starlight Glimmer came across Discord. "Who...?" Starlight began to ask. "Discord! I wasn't expecting you!" Twilight said practically through her teeth, having rounded the corner to see the two of them. She was trying to appear friendly, but she was quite irritated that Discord had showed up unannounced. Still, she managed to keep a smile on her face, even if it were a fake smile. Starlight was a bit confused, but also a bit surprised to be meeting Discord for the first time all of a sudden. It looks like Twilight's lesson plans are out the window for today.
