First few minutes!!! VIDEO PROJECTOR, WHAT!?!? GAME BOY, WHAT!?!?!?!? LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING FROM 1920, WHAT!?!?!? They don't even know how to put the game cartridges in!?!? COME ON!!!!! Some of these people are only 4 to 5 years younger than I am!?!?!?

 

Excuse me I'm just going to go and weep in this corner over here...

Agreed. Short clips, an intro or a first level is not a good introduction and you can not properly judge it based on that. The reactions don't really reflect well on these people and their thoughts afterwards make them look even worse. And I have to agree that the reactions to My Little Pony, IMO, is probably the worst of the bunch. Judging the show and the people who watch it simply because they only watched the intro. It got to the point where a friend of mine: Joshscorcher and a bunch of military bronies eventually decided to do a reaction video to that reaction video and did a damn fine job in pointing out all the flaws of that video. It must have made some kind of impact because thefinebros actually tried to copyright flag them for it and Josh and the others fought tooth and nail to keep it up and won.

That was not sure what to say, strange. I thought everyone remembered the NES I'll admit never having played on it but I realize how it was an important stepping stone in gaming. Not to mention that I like the old cartridges, I think they're fun to collect as they are just so old school that they take me back. I'll admit after seeing teens react to the gameboy I didn't expect them to recognize the NES but this does make you feel old. It might be simply that we who are older remember all those old gaming consoles because we were so interested in video games. If they would have been interested in video games I'm sure they would have recognized it.

God, these videos are a REAL test of my sanity! They can't even beat Glass Joe in Punch-Out! Hell, I'm younger than most of these kids and I can play NES games no problem! And the things they say afterwards..... God, these videos are cringe-worthy! They get some of the stupidest kids imaginable. Oh well, it's still not as bad as their Teens React to MLP video

I don't really care for them. TheFineBros had a lot of entertaining videos, but nowadays, the reactions are the same, and the kids, teens, youtubers and elders who had the best reactions are gone. Sadly.

 

Also, what the crap? Who could forget what the NES was? I can say it's quite better than the PS2, which I love, the NES is one, if not THE best console that ever existed.

 

Every time I see a video with kids and teens, I always want to punch most of their faces. But there's a minority that has good opinions, and some kids that are kinda cute.

 

But when things like this happens, I just stick to the end to see if someone realizes and gives some proper respect to any old stuff they are interacting with.

I really don't see the problem here.. It's only their opinion and their reaction. I mean if this is their first time seeing and using the NES machine wouldn't you expected for them to react that way?. Me I personally don't care TBH as i really AM not a fan of nintendo's consoles, Except for the mighty gamboy and gamboy advance portable console.

I found it hilarious that only one of them couldn't finish the first level of Super Mario Bros.. But then I realized that it proved true that one joke article posted about how kids couldn't beat the first level of Super Mario Bros. these days and I cried a little bit. The disrespect towards the console irked me a great deal. I'm a retro gamer and it made those reactions bite a little harder than they normally would.

thinking about it though... I've only ever heard people use that to describe old cell phones.

To me, it seems like a lot of the "outrage" against reaction videos like this comes from the fact that, to us, it seems nigh on impossible to not know what these things are. But you have to keep in mind, there is a sizable majority of people who really aren't into educating themselves...on anything. It's a shame, but so many only are about the here and now; they only know of what they have experienced in their own lifetime, and have no interest in learning history, different culture or anything they can't observe personally.
