I think both nana pinkie and granny pie are the same pony. They both mean grandparent. The only way they couldn't be is if they are on two sides of the family.

First off, the joke is that it's Marks as in Cutie Marks. Also, it's just a fan name. In a few weeks, it will be useless anyway.

I did know it was a play on Marks, as in Cutie Marks. I thought someone in production had announced it as an actual name. I'm still hoping that it will be about "something" replacing ponies with emotionless conforming replicas.

I like the song in that clip, kinda reminds me of this day aria, nice to see Daniel Ingram go back to the original sound of MLP FIM music instead of all that experimental stuff he did in season 4.

Not too interested in the 100th episode. That feels like it's trying too hard to please bronies. I was able to take Twilight's Kingdom's attempts to please bronies, but this is kind of ridiculous. Not saying it won't be good, just probably not one of my favorites.

 

However, the Maud Pie returning in a new Hearts Warming Eve episode, that is interesting. I've been curious to see how the other Heart's Warming Eve traditions work since they only glazed over it in the episode. 

 

Oh, and more reasons to get me hyped on the pony movie.

There is one thing i don't understand though.

 

They say that they have Maud Pie back, during a christmas episode. Does this mean that the we still have to wait another while for the season to start?

A couple of people get noisy and beg the producers to make an episode about their favorite background character or even OC, going "YAY DERPY!" or "YAY ORIGINAL CHARACTER!", yet once the producers leak the information about them really making one concerning a background character, they start to complain and negatively bash the creators to the point (they say) they're leaving the fandom... :okiedokielokie:

It's the same with the Spike Episodes. People want more focus on him, but the minute a Spike episode is confirmed, the fandom is complaining about it.

I don't know if I'm in that group or not. I can't say I'm happy to see the 100th episode being used exclusively on Background ponies(rather than secondary/minor characters like I was hoping for) but I never really cared for background ponies either

 

Very happy to hear about another Hearth's Warming Eve episode(hopefully it'll be more in lines of a traditional Christmas episode), especially if it means we'll see an episode dedicated to the mane pony's families
