Which pony race is best ? Unicorn, Pegasus, Earth pony, etc.

I don't think of the 3 mane races there is a superior, just different. Each is important for society to function properly. Earth ponies are great with plants and things from the land. Unicorns have their magic. Pegasi have weather control. Everypony is useful.

Earth ponies have slightly better endurance and strength, as if that'll help them against Magic Lasers that drill through things. Did you see how those clouds were perfectly aligned in a checkerboard pattern? I'd like to see the Pegasus that can do that. Oh wait, only the incredible magic precision of a Unicorn could do that. ...Well, maybe a very, very skilled Pegasus could do that, though it would take a lot longer and a lot more effort.

 

The checkerboard pattern was impractical, of course, but Rarity had her brain scrambled by a spell that told her it was the new Rainbow Dash, and gave her some strange mix of their memories plus her own personality, of course she wouldn't be in the right frame of mind to notice. Besides, who said fashion or beauty had to be practical?

Fine, we can agree that it's a matter of opinion. I don't see how frostbite over sunburns is either practical or fashionable but I do agree that most unicorns would have greater ease at manipulating clouds than most pegasi.

It's not about opinion, fashion, or practicality. It's about skill. It's about her OCD kicking in and forcing her to show off what she can do with her Unicorn magic. No, her personality combined with Fluttershy's past resulted in her being a nervous wreck so helpless that she let herself get captured and nearly cooked and eaten by a bunch of animals she could have easily kicked the flanks of. The real Rainbow Dash would have used her charisma and coolness to get them to do what she wanted, but the messed-up Dash couldn't do that. Just like messed-up Rarity either didn't notice or didn't care that her epic and awesome feats of weather control and her neverending quest to one-up herself were hurting other ponies.

Actually her feats, compared to pegasus, were not epic and awesome... but dangerous and out of control. Rarity was making a terrible mess of the weather and ponies in Ponyville were suffering because of it. If anything, I feel Magical Mystery Cure proves that unicorns should leave weather control to the pegasus, because they will fail in controlling it and epicly screw everything up. Yes, but the same can be said of pegasi like Rainbow Dash and earth ponies like Pinkie Pie. Most pegasi can't pull off a sonic Rainboom and most earth ponies don't have a pinkie sense.

 

Personally I'd much rather have telekinesis than not have it, even if it means I probably won't be able to fly or buck apples. I'd strive to learn as much magic as I could.

I find this a very difficult decision to make. On one hand,  I admire Earth Ponies for their understated nature and the hard labour that they often undertake. However, I've always loved the idea of the Pegasus due to my fondness of the Classical world. When I first familiarised myself with FIM, the Pegasus struck me as the race most synonymous with the brand (for some inexplicable reason ). Then again, Unicorns are beautiful and magical... You can see my dilemma

 

Having said all that, I tend to gravitate towards the Pegasus pony as my favourite race.

I'm pretty sure if a human was turned into a unicorn they would have more magic than a normal unicorn, seeing as they aren't so innocent and are not caring for how strong they are nor do they practice. Humans have more knowledge and understanding, so...

I'd say alicorn, bc you can do magic and also fly! But the only negative thing about being an alicorn is that you're immediately a princess and that means you have so much responsibility.. So I'm not sure if I wanted to be an alicorn if you have to be a princess. 
So thennnn I'm not sure if I can choose between pegasus and unicorn. I think I'd choose for magic tho.
