You should be able to see your badge again. What you experienced is a known problem with the donation system. If you donated to the site before contributing to the MCM charity, and your site donation expires, you'll be dropped back to your original group.

 

This isn't the first time it's happened, and it won't be the last. Be sure to contact me to get it fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience!

It would also seem if you make a site donation, and get moved into the donors group, you lose the badge too.

Seems to be, I thought it might happen, but I had to test, it would seem that any change to member group overrides the badge

 

EDIT: Which leaves me to wonder if it would happen if a christmas donor got made admin/mod, it probably would.

 

EDIT 2: Making a site donation when already in the site donors group seems to do it too.
