All right. So I see there is an Overrated/Underrated Pokemon thread. So now the question is, what are some of your least favorite Pokemon?

 

Unown: This Pokemon is not only pointless, but useless. The anime and games consider this thing practically legendary. No they're not, all they do is play up a gimmick in their own ruins. They're terrible in the games with only knowing hidden power which isn't even that good of a move.

 

Delibird: This thing not only has a stupid design, but is also laughably bad. It's exclusive attack has a chance of healing the opponent. There was one in the anime that kept appearing that was really annoying.

 

Exeggcute: How are eggs considered grass and psychic exactly? This think looks stupid. It's got its brain showing for pete sake.

Greninja, while its a useful pokemon I find it creepy and weird.

And I agree with those two. They would actually be decent if they got an evolution since their stats lend themselves to one.

Yeah, other useless Pokemon tend to have redeeming feature (the lore behind the Unown, Magikarp evolving into badass Gyarados, Feebaw evolving into Milotic)

Aw... I've always loved Unown. They may be 'gimmicky', but at the same time they, I guess the right term is world building? Yes, Pokemon is a game, but that doesn't mean that it can't have Pokemon like Unown. They may not be 'useful' in battling, but they are an interesting concept to me. Then again, I love all of the kinds of ancient ruin Pokemon. Regardless, the atmosphere that the ruins, helped by the existence of the Unowns in the original G/S/C was really neat.

The pokemon I dislike in no particular order:

• Dunsparce - Just WTF? There's absolutely nothing good or special about it. No evolution or special moves.
• Jigglypuff -  Not necessarily bad but I've disliked it since gen 1 because its sing move was so annoying.
• Geodude - Again, not bad but it just looks... stupid. It's a rock! The fact that it can't evolve into Golem without trading didn't help either.
• Hitmonchan - I don't really like its design. Pink clothes? No thanks! I dislike the fighting type in general (except for Hariyama which is one of my favorites). The only positive thing might be that it can learn elemental punches to counter its flying weakness.

For some reason, I remember getting particularly annoyed by Roggenrola and its evolutions. Not because they're hard to defeat or anything, but there were just too many trainers with them, and it irritated me that their Sturdy ability meant I couldn't ever just sweep them away with one super-effective move from my overlevelled Pokemon. (I can be kinda impatient like that... )

I just... don't like it. It just looks lame, and I don't say that about most Pokémon lol.

 

Heatmor

The only point of this thing is to be a 'predator' towards Durant. Otherwise it's just one of the worst Fire types around. It's also ugly.

 

Scolipede

I mean, Scolipede is at least a good Pokémon and I'll acknowledge that Cresselia is at least decent but still... just don't like 'em. Don't want none of that on my teams.

Delcatty. It doesn't have an inspiring design, it has one of the worst abilities ever (Normalize) and it has stats that are just plain insulting to almost all fully evolved Pokémon.

 

I was going to say Castform, but despite its freaky design, I still think what it's based on is cool. I don't like Lumineon either. It's what I like to consider the Filler Pokémon.

Pikachu,  I never liked this pokemon and Ima not a fan of rodents at all...

Mr. Mime:  This pokemon is just creepy if I even seen it....

Eevee: Yes I think this pokemon is useless,  and tile it freaking well,  evolves it just a fluffy fur ball...

Salamence. As hard it is to believe this guy is fucking useless in X and Y. I spent 30 min looking for this guy and he fails at every turn. If I was playing a nuzlocke he would've been dead 40 time over.

Also Cresselia who wasted tons of my reviver seeds in the journey to get to Darkrai. She was useless in the fight too.

I totally agree with Unown. The anime made them sound so powerful and that they are some kind of legendary and played a big part in the movie with Entei. 

 

But in game, they're weak as hell, and very pointless and are NOT a legendary what so ever.

The worst ones for me are..

 

-Nosepass- i am sorry, but Nosepass just looks plain dumb to me and just....really?? Even its second evolution is even worse...

 

-Miltank- Miltank has always annoyed me. I never liked Miltank, even as a kid. Probably because "roll out" has ticked me off so much...haha.

 

-Bidoof- Bidoof got SO annoying, even its second evolution. Take credit, Bidoof IS cute....but..no

 

-Jynx- Jynx is way too human to be a Pokemon and creeps me out. I always was a little freaked out by Jynx....that Nicki Minaj looking thing..

 

-Dunsparce- Looks like a sad potato insect...and just not appealing at all.....

Arceus. I thought it was the best, but... it was just my imagination. 

 

They make Arceus seem like such a badass and powerful Pokemon, but its honestly a lot weaker than most Legendaries. I had an Arceus and it got its butt kicked. Like....I dunno. I don't believe it should be the "god" of all Pokemon.

HYPNO.

Hypno is one of the creepiest Pokémon in the entire game. He's always freaked me out a bit, then I read that stupid creepy pasta... I have used hypnos on my team to get over my hatred of them. Sort of worked.

 I take down Weedle with extreme prejudice, mostly because when I was a kid and started playing S. Silver, every Weedle I fought would poison my Pokemon and I'd have to take several trips to the Pokemon Center so my team wouldn't die. This happened with plenty of other poisoning Pokemon over the years, but these took the cake. I swear those Weedle are the bane of my Pokemon experience.

Bidoof, Dunsparce, Miltank, Blissey, Snorlax, any pokemon that's tanky or takes too long to defeat.

I can name some I don't like:

 

Dedenne - This is the only Electric/Fairy we have?

Dunsparce - Underwhelming stats across the board offset by a great ability. 

Delcatty - Too low base stats; an ability which hurts it instead of helps it.

Hypno - There's very little it can do that other Psychics can't.

Vanilluxe - Other than Special Attack, its stats are so weirdly distributed, and pure-ice typing is always a problem defence wise.

Cherrim - Only useful in sunlight and severely eclipsed by fellow Sinnoh native Roserade.
