What is the strongest element of harmony?

As we know There's the 6 elements; Honesty, Kindness, Laughter, Generosity, Loyalty, and Magic. For the sake of this post I'm changing Magic to Inspiration because that was originally was supposed to be in the elements instead of generosity. Which do you think is the strongest out of all of these in a real relationship?

 

Personally, I'd say Loyalty. Nothing can make me feel any better than someone who's loyal to me. Someone who would give up their own time to help you out. I value that above all of the other elements.

I would say loyalty because it connects ponies and brings ponies closer to each other.

What kind of strength are we talking, exactly?

Either way, people are going to have their own values, and different situations are gonna use different elements more powerfully, depending on your life/context.

 

If you're borderline depression, laughter and kindness can do more than loyalty or honesty might be able to. Meanwhile, if you're at one of the most time-pressed moments of your life and your stressing out, a friend's loyalty or generousity may again beat honesty or something similar.

Each can move mountains given the right setup.

I think The Element of Magic is the strongest. It is connected to all of the other Elements which makes Magic, well, the strongest both magically and virtuously.

 

Outside of Magic, I think that Laughter is the strongest. Laughter is not just having a fun time with your friends, but also aiding you to a bright and optimistic future. Some may consider it weak considering society these days, but really, the more optimistic you get the less close-minded you'll be. Or, that's what I've learned. I also think that Loyalty is strong.

I think either magic, because it unites everyone and brought everyone together, or kindness. Kindness is a universal language understood by everyone, and often doesn't need words to express. It can pull people from the deepest depths of despair, and bring smiles to other people's faces.

Loyalty can backfire, when you have to choose between 2 Things you're equally Loyal to... choosing one and you gonna betray the other

 

Honesty can backfire when the Truth you're telling hurts the other deeply (best excample would be Fluttershy emotionally hurting Rarity and Pinkie Pie in "Putting your Hoof down... if that's what she really thinks of those two

 

Kindness can backfire, when you don't want to hurt your Friends Feelings, even if they did something bad

 

Laughter can backfire, when you make others cry doing practical Jokes or you end up beeing annoying by trying to be too funny

 

Generosity can backfire, when someone takes Advantage of your Generosity

 

Magic doesn't even Count since it's... well... Magic

 

 

Every Element has it's Weakness when you're using it to much, but I go for Generosity since it won't hurt as much as the others

Magic, or as I like to call it "Friendship" because as we all know; Friendship is Magic. Am I really the only person/pony who came to this conclusion?

I really can't say that 1 element is "stronger" than the others since basically they all are distinct but equal parts of the same whole.

 

If I had to say though, it would be friendship. No its not magic and the show made that clear through debunking Rarity's remark about Twilight not having her element via performing some magical feat in Twilight's Kingdom. If it were that simple Twilight would have gained her element ages ago.

 

I compare Twilight to Luffy from One Piece. Watch the ability and you start to get the idea.

 

 

Maybe its just a common good guy theme as we also see it in Naruto, Rurouni Kenshin and others. But Twilight has the power to befriend others and bring them together. Friendship or trust and understanding was what made Zecora their ally, bring together the bison and Apploosans, help the CMCs befriend Babs Seed and ultimately help Twilight bring Discord back over and defeat Tirek.

 

Remember the show teaches us that friendship is magic. Not the other way around. All that fancy magic from the elements means nothing without the bond of the virtues as a whole. Even Discord says it himself: He realized that Fluttershy was right to say friendship is magic. All that magic he had time and again did not hold up against the magic of friendship.

 

Even then though I would say all the elements are equal in strength. Friendship cannot thrive without loyalty, kindness, joy, honesty and generosity. As the Elements operate together so they cannot override one another.

If that person was Honesty dishonest, Kindness cruel, Laughter boring, and Generosity selfish, would you really want them to be loyal to you?

 

Personally I'd want them to go away and be loyal to someone else. Someone I didn't like very much.

I think honesty is the strongest in a real relationship, a liar just can't be your friend.

Loyalty would be the second.

I think it's Magic because it's been stated in the opening theme, the pilot, and by Discord that it's the rarest and the spark needed for the other Elements to be anything but rocks (and later fancy jewelry) 

 

Outside of the show, I put a lot of value in loyalty.
