Buck Testa 5,505 February 14, 2015 Share February 14, 2015 So apparently a forth grade kid in texas says he could make another kid "disappear" with a ring, the teacher takes this as a "Legitimate terroristic threat" and the school promptly suspends him for a week The hell is wrong with these people? What is wrong with this school? We let kids beat the crap out of each other and bully each other to the point of suicide but a nine year old with a fake ring (or a drawing of a pregnant woman in a book...ooooh) THAT we need to crack down on. 9 http://www.fimfiction.net/user/Billy%20G%20Gruff http://billyggruff.deviantart.com/ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPVpSXbUpDYTcaFHTPiPjYA

Snow Frostflame 3,568 February 15, 2015 Share February 15, 2015 its amazing just how stupid people are these days.... I have heard a story where a kid got put under arrest because of one law in Oklahoma that no one knows about.... it is apparently illegal to use a permanent marker if your under 18.... I shit you not that is a real law A 13-year-old was arrested Friday in Oklahoma City, accused of violating a little-known city ordinance that prohibits possession of a permanent marker in some circumstances. Delynn Woodside noted the marker had bled through a piece of paper onto the desk and reported to a police officer that she also had seen the teen writing on the desk with the marker, the report said. The teen was caught using a permanent marker at Roosevelt Middle School by a teacher, according to the crime report filed with the Oklahoma City Police Department. Woodside, a seventh-grade math teacher, made a citizen’s arrest on the teen, and the police officer transferred the student to a Community Intervention Center that houses juveniles who have been arrested. The name of the minor was not released.

sweetolebob18 728 February 15, 2015 Share February 15, 2015 My youngest sister was in grade school when my dad retired & they moved to Texas. Her teacher made fun of her in front of the whole class for the way she talked (damnyankee accent). She got bad grades on her 1st report card (big surprise). My mother went down to school "OK, what can I do to help my daughter?" Teacher told her to her face "It is God's will for your daughter to flunk. Try going to church." I swear I am not making that up & it isn't half what went on. Her score on IQ tests went down 20+ points in 1 year. Guess who wound up being home schooled? Alan Crytex 165 February 15, 2015 Share February 15, 2015 Ah yeah, I heard this news before scatter around my facebook feed. Yeah, it kinda ridiculous to suspend only because for that. Mesme Rize 15,683 February 15, 2015 Share February 15, 2015 It's really hard for me right now, to not make some kind of Redneck remark about Texans. Do these guys have any sort of connection to reality? We talk about a 9 year old kid playing pretend, because he was probably fascinated by Lord of the Rings. I never got suspended, because i was citing Star Wars quotes in school. 1 My OC Mesme Rize: >https://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/mesme-rize-r8777 Thank you Randimaxis for this Wonderful Avatar. Odyssey 5,716 February 15, 2015 Share February 15, 2015 (edited) This got a hearty laugh out from me. Seriously, a legitimate terrorist threat? Shanks 10,816 February 17, 2015 Share February 17, 2015 Who needs to dissapear are the imbeciles that think that innocent movie references are grounds for suspension from school. They have no business being teachers/principals and should be given their walking papers. This is the kind of insanity that happens when a society gives into paranoia and throws common sense out the window. This bullshit has been in the works for years through school "zero tolerance" policies, there have been how many stories of kids getting suspended or even expelled for things as stupid as toy guns? And there is this one kid who got suspended for drawing a picture of his dad who was a marine because apparently the picture had him with his M16. 2 Rarity Get's Cockroaches
Cleverclover 1,526 February 17, 2015 Share February 17, 2015 It's really hard for me right now, to not make some kind of Redneck remark about Texans. Well, I'm glad you're showing restraint, because that would be unnecessary and very immature of you. Because, you know, it's not like all Texans should be judged based on the actions of this one teacher (or whoever it was who actually suspended him). And It's not like other similarly stupid things have never happened in other schools across the United States.

Justin_Case001 4,891 February 17, 2015 Share February 17, 2015 I really like those two, you know, The Young Turks that is. They're great. You know, in the town where I grew up, apparently there's a law on the books that says it's illegal to whistle on public property. It's never been enforced, though. No matter what we create in movies and fiction, it will never come close to being as completely bat sh*t insane as the real world.
SCS 7,537 March 19, 2015 Share March 19, 2015 Yeah, this is crazy. Schools wanting to increase security is a good thing, but being complete fucking idiots is the exact opposite of how you should go about doing that. Good security is grounded in intelligence, not idiocy.
Twilight Dirac 721 March 19, 2015 Share March 19, 2015 The wide spread use and utter stupidity of zero tolerance policies continue to amaze me. Nothing quite combines cruelty and stupidity the way zero tolerance policies do. Not only are kids constantly bullied by other kids with no protection from their teachers, but now kids are bullied by teachers and administrators in the name of zero tolerance. And this particular kid has been suspended three times. If I were this kids parents I would put my kid in a private school while I dragged the public school into court for the next decade. And the sad thing is, this just isn't limited to Texas. This zero tolerance bullshit is everywhere. I grew up in the Florida schools and its there to. There needs to be a way to put an end to this nonsense.
