There should be an option to add a 600 x 100 signature when you're editing your profile, there are some people here who can make banners for you.

Don't feel bad about your art, I'm only able to do stuff like this because I have practiced a lot and have a drawing tablet and a good art program.  A year ago, I sucked at drawing, so anything is possible.
