Will there ever be a King Arthur Episode?

So there are recurring references in mlp that all lead back to the tale of king arthur such as:

• Canterlot - Camelot
• Knights of the Round Table - Elements of harmony (They even have a round table now)
• Merlin - Starswirled the bearded

I bet there are plenty more as well like possibly the sword in the stone being connected to spike's egg hatching and twilight's glowing eyes. Now do you think there's a possibility of a King Arthur themed episode? If so what would it be about?

That would actually be pretty interesting. I kind of picture it would be like Sonic and the Black Knight, where Twilight ends up inside a story where all her friends take on the role of King Arthur characters.

Seriously though, that could make for a nice premise. It could be a bit like Power Ponies, where the mane 6 get stuck in a story, except for a superhero set up, we have a medieval set up.

Honestly, while you can't really outdo the mother of all King Arthur parodies; it'd be nice to see such a story touched upon by MLP. Really; the series could use some sort of legend of a good king or what not, IMO.

If they do, there should be a pony based off of Morgan Le Fay as the main antagonist of the episode.

Well, the thing is, I would LIKE a king arthur type allegory, but the Mane six, the table and Canterlot SHOULD NOT be the center of it; there's just really not that many similarities, and trying to staple stuff onto the pre-existing stuff would just feel forced, yeah?
The mane six's table doesn't feel like the round table/king arthur's knights in its form and function, and Canterlot has zero in common with actual camelot/king arthur except the name being chosen for a pun.

(With the except of starswirl the bearded, who is very clearly supposed to be the merlin of the Unicorn world)
 

 

Now, if they WERE to do it, I would LOVE It. Personally, I think that King arthur would need to be an Earth pony; A pony being king by right of the virtues in their heart and the skills they have rather than magic would fit with king arthur; King arthur was basically a muggle with a magic sword, and all the magic was left up to Merlin.

 

As things stand, I think the best way to introduce a king arthur/camelot type thing into the show would be to not focus on the Kingdom (camelot) but rather just the King arthur analogue, and put the focus on how he departed to avalon after being wounded; you could even have an entire Episode dedicated to the mane six having to try and seek it out in order to find his magic sword (or him) for some reason.
