What Makes [Your] Life Worthwhile?

This thread is partly the result of my constant dysphoria, but partly because there are so many different answers to this question.

For me, it's humor! I'm usually feeling neutral/kinda sad about my life, but humor(and MLP!) are things that make life worth livin'.

P.s: Your answer can be either about life in general, or your life specifically.

Friends and family for me. Probably the most cliche answer possible, but it's true. If i didnt have games to play i'd probably be extremely bored alot of the time, so those too i guess. (And mlp obviously)

Well, it was video games, but I'm kinda growing out of them....now it's just anything that keeps me entertained.

Logical people think 'What have I been told to do?'

Creative people think 'What I have I not been told not to do?'

I think 'What am I doing?'

Music (despite recent happenings and my health, somewhere deep down I still want to strive for what I was before, and I still enjoy orchestra very much), entertainment, my family (very much including my dogs... In fact, when I think about me ...leaving early, I make it stop because I know their hearts would be broken, and breaking a dog's heart is too much for me), and, of course, my friends.

Also, I don't believe in any kind of afterlife, so I do believe that this is the only glimpse of the universe I have, the good and the bad. Nonexistence means not getting to experience everything I love anymore, in any way, shape, or form. If the issues I were facing weren't my absolute worst nightmare, what I just typed would be an almost unbreakable source for a will to live... But don't worry. I still want to enjoy everything I love!

I think the question for me is; what doesn't make life worthwhile. Here I am. Sitting at a desk, with a computer, roof over my head while it rains, getting ready to eat. I have a family here that loves and takes care of me. I go on rides, smell the fresh air, wind blowing in your face. I have friends who are kind and caring to me. Who love to talk to me. One day, I wanna have a family of my own, and show them the wonderful wonders of this world. And how it's not all bad.

the thought that I entertain and amuse others with my gaming, stories, or simply just from hanging out.... I never would of guessed I was meant to entertain others... and I never would of found that out if I never started the Ponygames Guild.... and I never would of started the Guild if it wasn't for MLP

so.. I guess ponies...

What makes life worthwhile to me is seeing other happy and carefree, as well as loving and being loved, and at peace with both themselves and others.

For me, I think it's discovery. Discovery leads to self reflection, which turns into change and makes life interesting. Even something as simple as baking a new recipe can cause change; I didn't used to be a big fan of lemons until I made myself a lemon tart on a whim. With regards to programming, I can now make programs that automatically network together with a new library I discovered and I can use this for so many exciting future projects! Of course, discovery can change us in much more profound ways than that, but that's my spice of life at any rate. I would be very sad if we ever truly discovered everything and there were no unknowns left.

Uncertainty.

What's going to happen next? Is it going to be good? Or bad? Is it going to change my life?

To be frank, If I knew what was coming I would probably just kill myself. The unfading hope for a better future, the apprehension of a bad omen. That's what keep us, obstinate and inquisitive humans, standing up and carrying on with our insignificant lives.

A world without doubts is a world without answers to be found. A world like that would dismiss the very reason of our humanity, we would be deprived of what makes us what we are.

The feeling of discovery and exploration. I love going out and trying new things and seeing different cultures/ways of life.

Living.

And while I'm at it, I will now profess the meaning of life: Experience. Learn. Evolve.

Well, I should say it's the meaning of this life for me. For a caterpillar the meaning of life is to eat.
