spoiler Chandelier Thoughts?

So I may be jumping the gun here, but does anyone else thing that the chandelier might possibly lead to:

Or might potentially replace the journal entries for this season? (Really jumping it on this one)

Personally I was under the impression they were going to fill the castle with books, but alas, they ripped up a dead tree. Nice decorating skills guys! Anyway, on topic; It might just be decoration never to be seen again, but who knows?

What actually happened to those journal pages anyway? Are the Mane 6 supposed to be writing to Twilight now? Maybe they're done with that and are ready to begin their work as the elements of harmony. But I digress! I don't think there's any correlation between that chandelier being put up and any kind of magic happening.

Then again, this is a show about magical pastel coloured ponies, so there's no telling what might happen.

I like this idea! I also think they'll add new gems (or whatever they are) throughout the season.

Sounds pretty feasible. Maybe it might amount to something but then again maybe it won't.

I think it's just there for the aesthetics and the message of the episode, which may be mentioned in the future at one point or another. I wouldn't say it's definitely building up to anything, but it's too early to tell.

Actually there was a very deep meaning to the chandelier. Metaphorically its a good way of showing where her roots begain, so in that light, i think it was an awesome addition.

Rainbow Dash did say she left some Daring Do posters in her library so I'm assuming she already has an allocated wing for books.

Well, unlike the keys from season 4, there was no hint that the chandelier would play a future part this season. As it stands I'm not expecting that it will play an important part later.

As for the idea itself, I loved it. I thought it was a terrific way of making it feel more like home to Twilight and also giving the tree new purpose.

 

I think it would be pretty neat for them to add those crystals every so often when something happens. But as it stands now, I feel like it really won't serve any other purpose. 

still, kudos to the writers for the great idea.

I thought it was just there for decoration. I like the idea of them adding new gems for each episode. I'm a little worried if they add a lot of gems the tree is going to fall from the weight..

I figured that out simba86, but after the episode ended lol. I love the chandelier and think it's just what the castle needed because your home isn't about what you own, it's the memories you make living there. I wonder if they'll add more memories to the gems throughout the season?
