When Is Breakfast To You?

My parents and I have been having his argument for years. 

 

When is breakfast? Is it:

 

A. The meal you eat only in the mornings? You wake up at noon, you're having lunch. You wake up in the evening, you're having dinner. You wake up at midnight and you're having 4th meal. 

 

 

B.Or is it the first meal you eat, no matter what time you wake up at? You wake up at noon, but you're having breakfast since it's your first meal since waking up. So on & so forth. 

 

 

Inquiry: You wake up at 3pm in the afternoon. Why? Why not? You eat your first meal of the day.

Is it lunch because it's after the morning. Or is it breakfast because it's the first meal you're eating sicne waking up?

 

The fate of that burning question is up for you to decide!

I would say first meal you eat, since I could eat something right now at 4 in the morning and it would count, considering its early and the next day. But usually I skip breakfast.

My house rules:

- A Cup of tea or coffee should always accompany a well balanced breakfast.

- Scrambled eggs and warm cheese and tomato croissants are superior to all cereals.

- Thou shalt not eateth thy breakfast at an unreasonable time.

I have like a cut-off point from whenever breakfast is to when lunch is. 

Normally I'll have breakfast when I get back from my paper round and before school, so about 7:30 kinda time.

On Sunday (My only day off of the week ^^) I'll usually wake up about 11. So that means getting out of bed about 11:30, and by that time, I'll be getting ready for lunch... The cut-off point I'd say is about 10:45. Any later and I'll wait for lunch. I don't want to have any meals I don't need xD
