music Would you go to a concert by yourself?

Just like the title says. Would you go to a concert on your own if you had nobody to go with? Have you ever been to a concert by yourself?

I did once and was kind of worried at first but it turned out to be a great time and I was glad I went. I got front row and met some people there we kind of hung around for a bit.

I have almost always gone to concerts and shows by myself. In some ways it is more fun, not having to worry about where your ride is.

If you are reading this you clearly have sometime on your hands, or you just like to read. Lets be honest they can be very related, you are on a forum dedicated to pastel colored miniature equines. Though if reading this is a waste of time, what would it say about the person who is writing it....

also The Game, Consult the Helix Fossil, /0, and other such maymays

And the fact you don't have to worry about losing that other person somehow. You have much more freedom to do what you want.

i went to a rock concert alone once it was crowded and most of them are semi drunk

i would have enjoyed it more if i have been with friends

Definitely. It'd be more enjoyable for me to go to a concert with a friend, and I haven't been to any concerts by myself. I wouldn't pass up seeing a band I like just because no one else is available or doesn't want to go though. The main point of going to a concert is the music (at least for me).

Why wouldn't I? If I liked the music, having another person with me would be secondary.

I've only ever gone to one concert, video games live and it was with my friends who invited me. I'd go again in a heartbeat with or without company, the music was fantastic.

I would go by myself but I haven't had the chance to yet. I already know how shit goes down at concerts sometimes so I'm not worried.

I'm going to see Flogging Molly live next Tuesday and I can't wait at all.

I would be very willing to go to a concert by myself depending on how much I wanted to see the artist, but unfortunately for me I'm mostly into older tunes and (no offense to the artists in question) pretty much all of them have lost their on stage presence with age. Although, I was tempted to go see The Rolling Stones next weekend, but in the end other plans took presedence. Besides, pretty sure the folks wouldn't want me to drive to the Power & Light District by myself at 1 in the morning, anyway.

Of course I would go on my own, I think it's exciting to go to one regardless of being there alone or with a friend.

Is it Flume? :3

Anyway, yeah, I'd go alone. Of course I don't think it'd be as fun without friends.

Most likely no. Any event that has a lot of people in a public space, I usually feel very uncomfortable and nervous unless I am with someone that I know. That is usually how I am with a lot of populated places.

I understand what you mean and I feel the same way about most public places as well. For some reason though I love concerts I feel completely fine at them. To me it's like everyone there forgets that you are there and everyone gets so wrapped up in the music that everyone has a great time.

I went to see Andrew WK live at Nashville last year and I was kinda worried about going on my own. But it turned out amazing in the end.

If none of my friends were avaliable that night (or day), then sure. Besides, most of the concerts I go to already have people attending that I know.

But it's always more fun to roll with your friends.  :squee:

Depends on who is playing really. If I was seeing a band like 'Periphery', then I'd prefer to be in a group, but if it were a band like 'toe' then I wouldn't mind being on my own

I play loads of Rocket League and GRID 2 on PC if you want to join me at some time. Account is linked in the pic above.

If you want to play Halo: Reach, Forza 6 or GTAV  with me on Xbox One, hit me up with a friend request at 'Yeloooh'

I agree with this statement it is much more enjoyable to go with a friend. But not many of my friends that I have had in the past share the same music tastes that I enjoy. I had at least two friends that had very similar music interest with me. I went to a concert in 2012 to see Iron Maiden & Alice Cooper with one of those friends. Back in 2014 I saw Chevelle live which was downright amazing with another close friend of mine and we got to get in the front row. Concerts with friends is nice but if you go to a concert by yourself. Go super early and you can have a chance of getting to meet others there and possibly hangout with them as well.

Periphery that's a band I've been recently getting into myself and they sound pretty freaking amazing.
