Nostalgia time

Time to place all those things from a few years ago that make us say "wow that was awesome" and to see if anyone else remembers.

Back in the days when TV consisted of either VHS tapes, or putting the antenna on your head and doing a dance to get more than three channels: CBC, Knowledge Network, PBS.

I remember these two when I was a child. The first one, the dragon scared me. The second one, it was my favourite memory. By the way the name of the pink rabbit is Mixy.

I've always had a passion for cartoons, so it's no surprise that that's what I'm the most nostalgic about. Thing is though, I watched so many cartoons as a kid that listing all of them would take forever!

 

However, there is one I've been especially nostalgic about lately, and that's the one I'm gonna share.

 

 

Yep, VeggieTales. Both the morals and the great humor are a huge part of what shaped me into who I am today. And even now, as I'm nearing adulthood, I still love this show to death! Heck, I actually find it even funnier now than I did as a kid!

 

(I hate the recent reboot though...ugh.  )

CTR is awesome, or well... while I had it. The disk kinda gave out from as much as I played the game back in the day. Sonic Heroes went that same route sadly... though there were a crap load of scratches on my Sonic Heroes disk.

I remember the original power rangers! Used to watch that religiously every Saturday with my sister, oh and the demon headmaster, that was both awesome a terrifying to a 6 year old! XD

ahh yes the era of punk rock. I grow up with Green Day first and I never knew or think of “punk” as a genre . It just came to me haha

although I was wearing more like these guys here

and got made fun of which is kinda ironic haha. But I guess that because these baggy jeans more more “in” back in my school in 20s and mine’s was more “out”. Now these day everyone are wearing the very same jeans I got teased for. Screw this generation.

Oh how much I missed this Hot Topic

These store used to sell musics, fashions, and some few franchises. But it was mostly for fashions and music. But now HT is just a store for pathetic franchises, horrible fashions, cupcake and rainbow made just for all posers alike. These youngsters saying Hot Topic has always been selling “hot trends” don’t know shit. 
 

Ah yes another store I use to liked to shop at before it’s just another carbon copy modern Hot topic

i remembered some of the adults stuff (well, the most lewd ones )are separated with a curtains and the owners would tell us kids not to pass that. They were pretty strict on that. But now these days they don’t give a shit. Made me wonder how these youngsters actually turned out they are now.  While ironically back In the days every stores have poor security so theft was like a cake walk. Now it’s stricter. Funny how the tables turned. 
 

But they were selling playboy bunny icons out in the opening and before I knew what it actually was I remembered trying to shop for it like a tee shirt with the logo on it. The owner won’t sell it to me and I was pretty upset. But my older sister explained it to me. I didn’t think too much about and thought it’s just some fashion model haha. My uncle who was into that stuff, passed his some of old clothes to us and one of them was a gray playboy bunny sweatshirt. My mom let me keep it because she think it would harmless as long I don’t wear it or don’t what it mean completely. But never seen that sweater ever again. Being adult now despite of knowing the behind of that logo , I still like it for nostalgia reason. even though I’m entirely against what it stands for. 

 

I’m gonna drop here because I do feel I’m still stuck behind in this era while everyone else seems to move forward easily.
